    Default does misty get?

    before misty leaves, does ash give her his hat or not? cause i've heard that he does, but i also heard that he doesn't and she only gives him the hankerchief

    No, Ash doesn't give Misty or Brock any of his clothing before they part. Misty gives him a hankerchief, and Brock gives him a fork and a spoon, but Ash doesn't give them anything.

    He gets his new clothes in Pallet Town, and the original clothes are probably with his mom.

    He doesn't. I am the infamous starter of the rumor that he does give her his hat, but that happened to be a mistranslation. Sorry for the misunderstanding.....
