Get Advance Wars DS, or Meteos. Right now(from what I know) those are the best.
Or else it gets the hose again!
*ahem*
Yeah, thinking about buying a DS. No, sony fanboys, don't try to convince me otherwise. You'll be wasting your time. So anyway, before I feel like forking over 200 bucks for another handheld, I wanted to know what high-quality games the DS has out right now. Normally I'd go to Gamefaqs, but their DS board is so horribly overrun with fanboys that asking anything and expecting an honest answer is pretty much stupid.

The upcoming Castlevania game, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, is definitely worth picking up.
Kirby: Canvas Curse is really good too. If anything, just get it because it has...KIRBY!!! C'mon, you can't forget that pink lil' spud. ^(^-^)>

WarioWare: Touched is also a very good time-waster. Sure, it's not as good as the other WarioWare games, but it's still a very entertaining game. Mike's stage is awesome.
Also, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, coming out in the next few weeks, is supposed to be an excellent game.
[b]Meteos and Kirby are both awesome. The new Castlevania comes out month and that should be good. Other solid games for the system include: Nintendogs, Wario Ware, Advanced Wars, Super Mario 64, and Nanostray.
CHOMP~
How on earth did they make a game about being a lawyer excellent? I'd be surprise if such a game was merely okay.
Well, it'd probably appeal to a niche market at most, but apparently, the people over at IGN liked it pretty well. http://ds.ign.com/articles/585/585608p1.html
And I happen to think it looks awesome (I also love Law & Order, to which this game looks rather similar in premise), so I might be a tad biased in that aspect.
It all depends what you like, but I agree that Wario Ware is the ultimate in addictive time wasting games, you'll get your money's worth right there. I haven't finished it yet, but if it's your thing, the new Castlevania game is really enjoyable too, and again, if it's your thing, nintendogs is another popular epidemic.
If you want to import and can find FAQ's to combat the language barrier, there are loads of awsome games in Japan that you could get too. Anyway, get a DS, your life will be much better.
Advanced Wars
Mario Kart DS
Chronicles of Narnia (hey I like it)
Lost in Blue (survival game)

Beside Castlevania and Mario Kart DS I'd give Trace Memory a go - if you have any liking at all for the classic adventures that is. In my opinion it's a point-and-click-adventure for beginners. Not too long and medicore difficulty. It uses the special features of the DS pretty nicely too. The story is nothing special but will keep you hooked (at least it had that effect on me) and the characters in the game are very likable.

Trauma Center:Under the Knife is an excellent game.

Advance Wars: Dual Strike is the reason to own a DS. Otherwise, Nintendogs, WarioWare: Touched!.

Animal Crossing:Wild World kicks much ass. It is very similar to the Gamecube version, but if you didn't like that version avoid this game.

I agree with Crazy, but also Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time is a good game if you like RPG/Platformers. There are also some pretty funny moments in that game.
Yep you can't beat advance wars. Nothing can. It's a DS must.
Pokemon Pearl FC: 3479 9091 3139
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time is definately a must-have; Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow as well.
As soon as I can afford it, I'll have to pick up Sonic Rush, Advance Wars: Dual Strike, and Animal Crossing: Wild World. Not to mention a wireless router so's I can play Mario Kart DS online.

I want to say it's a port with online; but a lot of little additions make me say it's a worthy sequel.Originally Posted by Crazy
yeah, AC:WW is a pretty cool game. I think it's a pretty good sequel.Originally Posted by Razola
Electroplankton also looks like a keeper - being a music guy it looks like this will be forced to precede Mario Kart DS for my money.
