    Default MLG vs. Weasel Overlord. (Ref: The Arbiter) [Future Christmas]

    - Number of Pokemon to be used: 2
    - Who sends first: MLG.
    - Who attacks first: Weasel Overlord.
    - Banned: Rest, Attract, Recover, etc. Also cheap moves are frowned upon. (this includes Perish Song, Grudge, etc.)
    - DQ Time: One week.
    - Arena: Future Christmas. A jolly, cliché and wintery Christmas Arena. It has a normal battlefield completely covered in snow, with Ice in the center. But because humanity is stupid, ignorant and blablabla, the future holds a different view on this earth. They have toxiced the whole planet with their dangerous gasses and made the whole air act rather strange. Snowflakes are falling, which is not a good thing since they are highly toxic. They take 5% HP from each Pokemon in every round. There are also dangerous geysers lurking under the snow and ice coated floor. Any other strange events can also take place due the poisoned planet. (Hint ref.)

    Anyway I'll choose Hephaestus my male Slugma.

    Okay! It's your turn, Tyrus! Let's show him what we've got! I'm sending out my shiny (yes, literally shiny) Shellder, Tyrus.

    Start the round with a Toxic, try to aim it right into Hephaestus' mouth. Follow up with a Supersonic and finish the round with a bit of protection, use a Withdraw to hide from those nasty snowflakes.

    Use Reflect to repel the Toxic using a screen coming from your mouth. Afterwards use a Yawn to counter supersonic and a Rockslide to hurt Tyrus if it's in his shell, if it's out use a Flamethrower

    Reflect ~ Yawn ~ Rockslide | Flamethrower

    I'll take this one on using a new format!

    [b]MeLoVeGhOsTs versus Weasel Overlord
    round one

    |

    [size=2]arena
    future christmas – acid snow!!

    [size=2]track
    nabou uematsu – those who fight further

    [size=2]the beginning
    Both trainers unite in the setting of Future Christmas, an arena which challenger MLG created. The skies are littered with stale air and toxins that no one dare breath in. The snow falls gently along the white blanket below; but it's recommended that you don't eat the snow, as it is highly poisonous. Three persons, the two battlers and referee, were brought into this place, an earth set in the future via the time machine that's origin is quite a mystery in itself. However, that mystery is simply a mystery which'll remain unsolved for now; battle is now. Trainer MeLoVeGhOsTs (whom will now be referred to as MLG) pulls from his bag a small red-and-white colored poké ball. Tossing it up and down in his right hand, the male quickly tosses the ball towards the center of this cold, deserted place. "I'll choose Hephaestus," he muses, "my male slugma." The ball pelts across the white snow below before summoning from it the fire creature within. Hephaestus cries out as his gooey red body melts the snow around him.

    Knowing her opponent's first pokémon gave her the advantage, Weasel Overlord choices her own, "Okay! It's your turn Tyrus!," the girl exclaims as she tosses a similar colored poké ball to the floor, "I'm sending out my shiny shellder, Tyrus." Emerging from the small poké ball is a particularly shiny shellder whom is gold in color. The gender of this pokémon has yet to be mentioned by the trainer, so it will simply be referred to as an "it" for now. "Start the round with a Toxic; try to aim it right into Hephaestus' mouth. Follow up with a Supersonic and finish the round with a bit of protection: use Withdraw to hide from those nasty snowflakes."

    His opponent held the elemental advantage, but MLG was still able to turn the tables this round by countering his opponent's strategy justly, "Use Reflect to repel the Toxic by using a screen coming from your mouth. Afterwards, use Yawn to counter the Supersonic and a Rockslide to hurt Tyrus if it's in its shell. However, if its out, use a Flamethrower.

    the battle
    Given the commands, Tyrus initiates the battle by spitting out from its clamshell a purple-colored poisonous goo. The highly toxic poison sails through the air towards Hephaestus' open mouth, who is still struggling to perform his trainer's attacks as told. With only a few seconds to react, Hephaestus summons a silver veil which engulfs his exterior. The toxic goo slaps into his body, being only slightly protected by the shield. Little by little, the toxins eat away at his life force, but he refuses to let that simple attack bring him down. The fire slug waits for his opponent to attack; the shellder quickly howls out a loud, haunting noise. The noise is harsh and loud, bouncing off the various landscapes until it reaches its target. Hephaestus counters this by yawning loudly; the supersonic waves dissipate and cause Tyrus to yawn as well. Annoyed that its plan didn't work as well as it hoped, Tyrus withdraws into its shell to protect itself from the poisonous snowfall. In doing so, it left itself unable to counterattack against anything Hephaestus would inevitably throw at it; however, because its shell was so rock-hard, its defense was much greater. Seeing an open opportunity, Hephaestus summoned a barrage of rocks from beneath the white snow to repeatedly slam into Tyrus' golden shell. Unfortunately, because its shell was as rock-hard as previously mentioned, the damage wasn't as great as intended (-3% health to Tyrus). The burning poison aches the smaller fire-type pokémon as he awaits his trainer's next commands (-3% health to Hephaestus).

    The first round ends, but not before the poisonous ice-fall drains the life from both pokémon (-5% health to Hephaestus; -2% health to Tyrus).

    the results
    The snow is a bit melted in the area around Hephaestus, and Tyrus is still nestled safely in its shell. Both pokémon are quite confident.

    Ok Hephaestus lets crack this oyster. He can protect himself from attacks, but not from gas! Use a Smog attack! When he comes out to cough use a toxic of your own and then smack him with Facade!

    Oh shit! Why did no-one remind me of this?!? If you don't mind continuing MLG...

    Tyrus, start off with a Rapid Spin, right into Hephaestus' face! With your shell closed, he'll have a hard time getting in to attack you, so follow up with another Withdraw.

    Finish this round with a Supersonic. That way, you can stay inside your shell, nice and safe from those evil snowflakes! ^^

    [size=2]the beginning
    After a not-so-very brief hiatus, our attention returns to the battle taking place in the chichéd apocalyptic wasteland, Future Christmas. After the first round, Weasel Overlord still insists upon keeping the gender of her shiny shellder a secret; however, Grey pulls out his pocket PC and browses the Internet (don't ask how it still works given the setting). Checking out the Egg Center where she acquired her shiny pokémon, Grey finds out that Tyrus is indeed a male. With that near-useless bit of information found, we see the two trainers issuing their commands, MLG going first.

    "Okay, Hephaestus, lets crack this oyster," he says metaphorically, "He can protect himself from attacks, but not from gas! Use a Smog attack! When he comes out to cough use a Toxic of your own and then smack him with Facade!"

    Shivering a bit from the horrible blizzard, Weasel Overlord iterates her own attack strategy, "Tyrus, start off with a Rapid Spin, right into Hephaestus' face! With your shell closed, he'll have a hard time getting in to attack you, so follow up with another Withdraw. Finish this round with a Supersonic. That way, you can stay inside your shell, nice and safe from those evil snowflakes!"

    the battle
    Hephaestus opens the round this time around; his mouth opens up, dripping magma to the ground as he spits out a venomous, purple cloud. However, Tyurus merely dissipates the foggy waste by remaining withdrawn, rapidly spinning his defensive shell faster and faster until he bashes into the fire slug (3% damage to Hephaestus). Annoyed, Hephaestus spits out a toxified puddle of goo akin to the one he was struck with last round. Unfortunately, the poison slaps across Tyrus' shell, doing nothing before falling to the snowy field below. Tyrus remains withdrawn, but his clamshell opens very slightly. The creature inside then shrills very loudly, obscuring Hephaestus' hearing, and making him slightly confused. However, he still wishes to go on. His head now glows a lucent white as he charges up, Hephaestus proceeds to dart forward and ram into the hard shell; despite the heavy influence from his toxicity, the attack doesn't cause as much damage as he hoped (5% damage to Tyrus).

    the results
    Despite the round's hardships, both pokémon are still quite confident with themselves. The snowfall continues to eat away at their health, however (5% damage to Hephaestus; 2% damage to Tyrus). Hephaestus once again feels another burn, this time from the poison (6% damage to Hephaestus).

    First start off by using a Toxic to poison Tyrus! Then use a Lightscreen to counter the Surf and raise your sp.def, finish off with a Yawn! If yawn somehow fails use a Secret power and whip up that poisonous ash to attack!

    future christmas – acid snow!!

    [size=2]track
    nabou uematsu – those who fight further

    [size=2]the beginning
    The time spanning between rounds one and two a lot greater than the time spanning rounds two and three; the acidy snow still rains furiously as round three awaits. Trainer Weasel Overlord stands forward, issuing the attacks for her Tyrus, "Tyrus! You're doing real good buddy," she says loudly, "lets keep it up for this round, eh? Start things off with a Barrier to raise your defense even more! Then, I reckon it's about time we got offensive; use a Surf. Wash away that fire slug!"

    MLG steps up to the imaginary plate, his attacks ready, "FIrst, start off by using a Toxic to poison Tyrus! Then, use a Light Screen to counter the surf and raise your elemental defense. Finish off with a Yawn. If yawn somehow fails, use a Secret Power and whip up that poisonous ash to attack."

    Notwithstanding, MLG called out four attacks, not three. The Secret Power command will not be used.

    the battle
    Tyrus finally draws himself out of his shell long enough to summon a light-blue veil to encompass him. Hephaestus wastes no time, shooting off a puddle of toxins akin to the ones currently causing him suffer. The poisons sail through the air, managing to bypass Tyrus' barrier. The golden shellder suddenly becomes poisoned by his foe. Annoyed, Tyrus pulls back and summons a large tidal wave, which manages to engulf the entirity of Future Christmas. The snow around become melted by the water's warmth as it washes towards Hephaestus; the fire slug prepares himself aptly by summoning a veil similar to Tyrus', just with a more purple-ish hue. The rushing waters slap against his shell, the damage decreased by the Light Screen (8% damage to Hephaestus). The purple barrier around him almost destroyed, Hephaestus ends his attack volley by yawning... a strange way to offend your foe, no less. Tyrus becomes infected by the inevitable yawn, and thus becomes drowsy. However, his third attack goes almost as smoothly. Collecting acidy snow droplets as it hurls through the air, Tyrus' Water Pulse slams into Hephaestus, shattering his light screen as well as causing some good damage (7% damage to Hephaestus).

    the results
    Most of the snow around them has been washed away, but the downpour still causes them hurt. Tyrus, no longer protected by his shell, begins to feel the effects more painfully (5% damage to Hephaestus; 5% damage to Tyrus). Both pokémon then feel the effects of the poison (9% damage to Hephaestus; 3% damage to Tyrus).

    [size=2]the beginning
    The skies getting darker and darker as more gray clouds loom overhead. Both trainers are worried, but hide it well. MLG readies his next round of attacks accordingly, "Alrighty, good job Hephaestus! Get this show on a road and commence the attack with Facade! Then when Tyrus is asleep use Swagger! Then finish your attack with Flamethrower!"

    The snow still trickling down, but Weasel Overlord is protected by her warm winter coat, "Okay Tyrus, if you fall asleep this round, I want you to use a Sleep Talk for your first move, followed by either a Snore, or a Bubblebeam. Finish up with either a Sleep Talk or a Facade."

    the battle
    Tyrus finally gives into his sudden tiredness and slams shut his eyes. As he sleeps, he begins to start speaking in a tongue very foreign; as if he were acting without awareness, the sleeping shellder suddenly screeches loudly; all around him, the hurtful noise can be heard. Now unprotected, Tyrus is left wide open for a counter attack. Hephaestus, no a bit weary, but using the poison as a reminder, rams into the golden sea creature with enough force to knock him out of his slumber (12% damage to Tyrus). Tyrus, no longer plagued by slumber, spits out a quick volley of several watery bubbles. Quicker than quick, each bubble slaps harshly upon Hephaestus' firery hide (8% damage to Hephaestus). Annoyed, Hephaestus retalliates by sputtering out various insults and whatnot, driving Tyrus insane with rage. Leaning forward, Tyrus' spikey horn glows a white color; enraged, the golden shellder smacks Hephaestus with the added reminder of his own poison (12% damage to Hephaestus). Perhaps it wasn't such a good idea for Hephaestus to anger his opponent? Regardless, Hephaestus finishes the round by spitting a chain of fire at the, no very much awake, shellder. As the cracking flames dance in front of him, Tyrus winces in pain (9% damage to Tyrus).

    the results
    The round is over, and the snow continues to eat away at the two pokémon's health (5% damage to Hephaestus; 5% damage to Tyrus). Both pokémon once more are troubled by the poison (12% damage to Hephaestus; 6% damage to Tyrus).

    Ok Hephaestus one last effort and you'll be sleeping silently in your pokeball! Use a Protect to repel the surf then use an OVERHEAT which is far stronger then any waterpulse, it should just vaporise, then finish off with a Facade and give it all you got!

    Snowflakes littered with toxicity falling from the sky; with an excited tone in her voice, Weasel Overlord readies her attacks, "All right! Go Tyrus! Keep this up and I reckon we can go for the win this round!," she starts, "Start off our full out offensive with a Surf to melt that fire-slug! Follow up with a Water Pulse and finish the round and hopefully the game with another Surf!"

    Notwithstanding the fact that the match won't be over until Weasel Overlord successfully knocks out two of MLG's pokémon. Knowing that the end is near for his tiny fire slug, challenger MLG readies his final attacks, "Okay Hephaestus one last effort and you'll be sleeping silently in your poké ball! Use a Protect to repel the surf then use an Overheat which is far stronger then any Water Pulse, it should just vaporise. Then finish off with a Facade and give it all you got!"

    the battle
    It's the end of the world as we know it... and I feel fine. Tyrus, knowing that he could end ther opponent quickly, readies herself. Summoning behind her another tidal wave, the golden shellder simply sits back. Not sitting back, however, is Hephaestus. The fire slug braces himself for impact by summoning a golden orb-like shell to encase him; as the waters crash down upon the two pokémon, Hephaestus rests easily, remaining undamaged. The waters wash away, as does the protective spell. Slightly annoyed, Tyrus tries once more to down his foe, this time summoning an orb of water (once more collecting ice shards from the snow). As the water spell is hurled towards him, Hephaestus doesn't fret. Instead, he glows a bright orange hue, shooting a very large explosion of fire throughout the arena, melting the snow in various places. The explosion catches up to Tyrus, causing him a good deal of damage (15% damage to Tyrus). Tyrus, now slightly burnt, summons another tidal wave, hopefully giving Hephaestus no time to brace himself. The waters crush down upon them once more (12% damage to Hephaestus)., putting out the various fires that Overheat caused. The fire slug, very wet, very tired, spits out some water before collapsing upon the snowy fields below. It would seem that the attack finished him off before the poison could.

    the results
    Tyrus rests easily knowing that he had successfully knocked out his first opponent. Trainer MLG recalls the fire slug back into his poké ball as Tyrus once again is hit by the poison, as well as the acidic snow (5% damage to Tyrus; 9% damage to Tyrus).

    MLG watched for but a brief moment as his first pokémon, the vigilante slugma, give into his weakness and faint; the first pokémon to do so in this battle. Grasping the poké ball, MLG recalls the young fire pokémon before summoning another, "I choose my male hoothoot, Hermes!" The poké ball dances along the light, snow-covered arena floor prior to releasing the equally young hoothoot, "Hermes! Start off with a Hypnosis to get him asleep then use a Dream Eater, finish it with Aerial Ace! If Hypnosis somehow fails, use Psychic over Dream Eater."

    Weasel Overlord watches the tiny owl flutter his own wings for levitation; surely a flying pokémon would have a difficult time in such an arena, she thinks to herself, "Avoid that hypnosis by using a Withdraw! Inside your shell, nothing can get you! Narh!," it would appear that for a brief moment, the overlord of weasels has lost her cool, "Ahem... follow up with a Rapid Spin and finish the round with a Clamp."

    the battle
    Hermes wastes no time; his eyes glow with an eerie placid as he attempts to give his opponent "the stare". Unfortunately, it's hard-pressed to hypnotise a creature that won't even look at you. Tyrus rests safely in his shell, guarded from any attempts, on Hermes' part, to fall asleep. Giving up on that plan, Hermes attempts Plan B. Closing his eyes and enveloping both Tyrus and him in a shadly purple-colored aura, Hermes then begins to really concentrate. Tyrus, despite being protected in his shell, begins to feel a slight discomfort as he is constricted in the air (6% damage to Tyrus). Attempting to break free of Hermes' mental grasp, Tyrus begins to spin faster and faster. With the rapid spin, the golden shellder amazingly breaks free of the tiny bird's aforementioned mental grasp. As he falls from the sky, he continues to spin in a clockwise motion until slamming into the hoothoot (4% damage to Hermes). Caught off guard, Hermes flutters his wings as fast as he can whilst climbing higher into the cold apocalyptic wasteland. As high as he can get, Hermes then sharply cuts through the air, sending several blades of wind cutting through. Each one scrapes across the shellder's casing, doing some slight damage (5% damage to Tyrus). His golden shell now scuffed up, Tyrus elects to finish the round; as Hermes slowly descends, Tyrus draws from his protective shell and then leaps towards the hoothoot's leg. Clamping down as hard as he can, Tyrus sends a shocking pain to Hermes (6% damage to Hermes).

    the results
    Hermes scrambles to get the shellder off his leg, but as the round comes to a close, Tyrus' poison sets in (8% damage to Tyrus). His grasp becoming weaker and weaker, Tyrus falls back to the ground, defeated. Alas, the round isn't over yet; for the first time, Hermes begins to feel the stinging sensation of the acidic snow (5% damage to Hermes).

    When one falls, the other isn't far behind. Weasel Overlord quickly pulls out Tyrus' poké ball; grasping the ball tightly in her right hand, she recalls the golden pokémon seconds before summoning another one, "I shall send out my Zangoose, Romuyan." Once more, she fails to mention the gender of said pokémon, so Grey's gonna have to do som'ore research. As it turns out, Romuyan is a girl. With a blush, Weasel Overlord orders her next stage of attacks, "Start the round with a nice Safeguard to avoid Hypnosis. Follow up with a Shock Wave, zap that owl out of the sky and finish the round with a Thunderbolt."

    MLG grins to himself, readying his own volley of attacks, "Okay... dangerous opponent Hermes, but we'll get him! First I want you to use a Double Team and copy yourself so that aiming will be very hard! Then continue using a Mudslap to hit him in the eyes, to lower his accuracy even more. Finish up with a Psychic and break his bones!"

    the battle
    As the venomous snowflakes continue to rain downwards, Grey realizes that he needs to start his narrations more orignally. Freshly prepared, Romuyan attempts to surround herself in a protective spell. Notwithstanding, she doesn't know how to use the Safeguard technique which her master ordered; her attempts fail, but it is successful in doing the thing Weasel Overlord wanted it to do, for at least a round. Hermes, still staying in the air, closes his eyes as his very appearance is cloned. Several tiny owls appear next to him, confusing the zangoose. Which one is real, she would wonder if she could wonder. Rather than taking any risks, Romuyan simply throws out several tiny electric bursts within a small radius. The several bursts of electricity rip through all the clones, including the real hoothoot (4% damage to Hermes). Hermes, unsatisfied, dives down towards her bipedal foe, sliding his wing along the cold winter's snow; jerking his wing upwards, he manages to slap some of the ice blanket directly into Romuyan's eyes. She winces as the sudden chill gives her a headache, but she is otherwise okay. Her vision slightly obscured, the zangoose summons another electric attack, this time thunderbolt. As her dexterity is hindered, she only manages to barely strike the flying creature (7% damage to Hermes). The hoothoot, now really unhappy, simply hovers in the air a few feet over the zangoose with his eyes closed. As the snow continues to fall, Romuyan suddenly feels a tingling sensation along her left kneecap; it gets worse and worse as she shrills in pain (7% damage to Romuyan). However, not being an experienced psychic, Hermes' attempts to break his foe's bones were unsuccessful.

    the results
    The round ends, and both pokémon begin/once more feel the effects of the acidic snow from Future Christmas (5% damage to Hermes; 5% damage to Romuyan).

    The battle is becoming very heated, despite the cold backdrop. On the button for this round is MLG, who readies his attack plan justly, "We'll get this show on a road now!," he exclaims, "First start off by using Hypnosis! Then, follow up with a Dream Eater if the Hypnosis was a succes; otherwise Toxic and finish with Aerial Ace for a fast and painful blow. If Hypnosis did work use Toxic for the third slot."

    Pondering for a moment, Weasel Overlord tries to implement a strategy that'll avoid being put to sleep, and at the same time, not looking foolish by asking for a command that her creature does not know, "Right Romuyan, lets try and win this one too! Start the round with a Taunt, which will hopefully stop that hoothoot using Hypnosis! Follow up with an Ice Beam and finish the round with Thunderbolt."

    the battle
    With the poison piling on, both pokémon realize that they need to finish the other off quickly. The small hoothoot climbs higher into the air whilst simultaneously keeping a watchful eye on his opponent. Romuyan, wanting nothing to do with this, stares the tiny owl down, barking various threats and jokes in an attempt to anger her adversary. With his eyes glowing in hypnotic energy, even Hermes cannot seem to fathom not being enraged. He haults his attempt to lull the mongoose to sleep, and instead choices to divebomb her. In doing so, this secured that Weasel Overlord's pokémon has once again avoided sleep. The tiny owl pelts into the zangoose (4% damage to Romuyan) before fluttering back to the air. Higher and higher, the hoothoot was put right where his foe wanted. Holding her arms outstretched, Romuyan called forth an icey sense of energy to shape a solidified beam, which shot upwards, nailing Hermes in the torso (8% damage to Hermes); his wings slightly frozen, Hermes' flight becomes more difficult. The bird pokémon retalliates by spitting from his tiny beak an acidic poison, which saps onto Romuyan's coat. Not feeling much at first, Romuyan then summons a thunderous electricity to come crashing down upon Hermes, doing a little less considering that Hermes isn't as high in the air (6% damage to Hermes). His wings now cold and charred, Hermes suddenly doesn't want to fly any longer; however, to remain true to his master, the hoothoot strains to climb higher and higher before sending four blades of air straight down, cutting along Romuyan's hide (5% damage to Romuyan).

    the results
    Copy and pasting the events from the previous round, both pokémon feel their respective acid burns, Romuyan feeling slightly more pain from her added toxicity (5% damage to Hermes; 8% damage to Romuyan).

    Romuyan, you're doing great! Now that we've stopped, or at least decreased the likelihood of Hypnosis, I want you to go all out with the offensive this round. Start off with another Thunderbolt, and follow it up immediately with a Thunderpunch. (Are we allowed to use Refresh? If so...) Finish the round with a Refresh, if you're allowed to. If not, hit Hoothoot with an Ice Beam to get at that weakness once again!

    I wouldn't allow it IMO.

    Anyway, lets get this show on a road! Use a Double Team to avoid all those powerfull attacks, or atleast try. Then hit him with Hypnosis once more, then finish off with a Nightmare if asleep to take care of 1/4 of his HP every round, if not use a Secret power and whip up some poisonous ash for a hard hitting attack!

    "It's bloody cold out here!," shouts the Arbiter, trying to sound British, apparently. Albeit, the trainers are wearing heavy jackets for this apocalyptic wasteland of a setting, only the Arbiter seems to be taking it like a whiny little girl. Weasel Overlord steps up once again, shooting off her attacks, "Romuyan, you're doing great! Now that we've stopped, or at least decreased the likelihood of Hypnosis, I want you to go all out with the offensive this round. Start off with another Thunderbolt, and follow it up immediately with a Thunder Punch. Finish the round with an Ice Beam to get at that weakness once again!"

    Having the advantage for this round, MLG choices his attacks carefully, "Let's get this show on a road!," he says confidently, "Use a Double Team to avoid all those powerfull attacks, or atleast try. Then hit him with Hypnosis once more, then finish off with a Nightmare, if asleep, to take care of a quarter of her health every round; if not, use a Secret Power and whip up some poisonous ash for a hard hitting attack!"

    Notwithstanding that even if a Nightmare were to take effect, it wouldn't be able to take that much health away from any pokémon each round. That'd just be broken.

    the battle
    Hermes tries desperately to pull of his first command before his opponent can target, however, with his wings being the way they are, it's hard for him to even stay in the air. The tiny owl closes his eyes and his body is instantly divided into several identical clones, four to be exact. Unsure who to attack, as there are now five hoothoots, Romuyan paces herself. The snow continuing to rain down upon them, she randomly fires at the one in the center; the trickling thunder bolts through the air, slamming into the supposed hoothoot before it disappears. Evident, it was a mere clone. Romuyan sighs and turns her sights towards the real Hermes, but alas, he has already gripped her eyes with his own. Like staring into an abyss, Romuyan is lulled into somber slumber. At first, it is peaceful, tranquil. However, within only a few moments, the zangoose begins to tremble. Her mind aching heavily (10% damage to Romuyan), Romuyan instantly jolts from her slumber as the metaphorical cold sweat pours from her face. Her heartbeat rapid, she tries to piece together the puzzle before remembering what she was doing. In a foul mood, Romuyan conjures a solidified beam of water which, at her discretion, fires madly towards one of the four remaining hoothoot. Without hesitation, the beam sails through the air and manages to collide with Hermes, doing great damage (10% damage to Hermes). Hermes' wings are encased in a shallow ice, grounding him for the time being.

    the results
    With his wings in need of repair, Hermes will remain on the ground; but he's still ready to fight. The poisons in the air, as well as the poisons in her [Romuyan's] system, continue to harshly scorn the pokémon (5% damage to Hermes; 11% damage to Romuyan).

    YAY the Nightmare worked! Lets hope that we can stall some time in order for it to work, together with the poison. Lets faint Romuyan smart while not attacking him, but defending instead.

    First start off with a Psychic to blow him back. Meanwhile let the poison do the job. Then use another Hypnosis to let the Nighmares re-appear. Then finish off with a Whirlwind to hold him back.

    The poison, defensive moves, nightmare and Double Team should keep him at bay and faint him! Lets make this work Hermes!

    Meanwhile, sporting an ever-mischeivous smirk, the overlord of weasels readies herself, "Right Romuyan, once again, I want you to start with a Taunt. Follow it up with a Toxic of your own!, right into Hermes' mouth, if you can. Finish the round with a Facade, to teach that owl not to poison you!"

    the battle
    Keeping himself in the air proves to be a difficult task; Hermes concentrates deeply on the zangoose, enveloping her in a purplish-colored aura. Romuyan feels some discomfort as she is flung further away from her foe, (7% damage to Romuyan). With a plan, the zangoose once again barks out a series of insults in a language foreign to trainers. Successful, her opponent no longer stares at her with those eyes. Hermes, very angry, pulls away from master's orders and dives towards his adversary, slapping her with his pained wings. Uncaring about his own pain, Hermes continues to barrage Romuyan with a series of weak hits (3% damage to Romuyan) until his rage subsides. Now closer to her target, Romuyan gives the gift she had already received, shooting a venomous puddle of toxins straight into the psychic owl. Hermes becomes poisoned dreadrully as he attempts to blow his adversary away with his none-too-sterling wings. The very weak gust of wing doesn't even bother Romuyan, who readies her finally assault by slamming her fist, accompanied by the rage of her poison, into the bird's torso (14% damage to Hermes).

    the results
    Hermes' last two attacks weren't effective; frozen and freyed wings aren't strong enough to summon heavy winds. However, the two pokémon feel their acidic poison demise (8% damage to Hermes; 14% damage to Romuyan).

    And my name is Weasel Overlord, not Overloard...

    Right Romuyan, lets finish this battle! Start off with an Ice Punch, as Hoothoot is grounded, she won't be able to get away! Follow it up with a Double Kick in the owl's belly and finish the round with an Endure, so ensure that you stay alive! However, if hoothoot comes at you with any physical attack, I want you to use Counter.

    It wasn't an attack towards you, I just want to finish this battle. My apologies.

    Alright this could very well be our last round so lets make it count! The toxic is going to take away almost half of his current HP, so lets stretch this round!

    When Romuyan comes at you toss a Mudslap in his face to blind him, so that he can't use Icepunch. Then use a Psychic while he's blinded and blow him back! Finish up with a Frustration he'll counter it, but with a little luck he'll be fainted before he can counter because he isn't using Endure! Use your weight or body if you can't go airborne.

    EDIT: Whoops: Mudslap ~ Psychic ~ Frustration

    nabou uematsu – those who fight further

    [size=2]the beginning
    Sensing the battle's end, Weasel Overlord (sans the "a") readies, what could be, her final commands, "Right Romuyan," she starts, "lets finish this battle! Start off with an Ice Punch, as the hoothoot is grounded, she won't be able to get away! Follow it up with a Double Kick in the owl's belly and finish the round with an Endure, so ensure that you stay alive! However, if he comes at you with any physical attack, I want you to use Counter."

    "When Romuyan," says MLG, pausing at an inappropriate time, "comes at you toss a Mudslap in his face to blind him, so that he can't use Ice Punch. Then use a Psychic while he's blinded and blow him back! Finish up with a Frustration; he'll counter it, but with a little luck he'll be fainted before he can counter because he isn't using Endure! Use your weight or body if you can't go airborne."

    the battle
    With Hermes struggling to stay balanced, his mongoose foe comes forward with an icy encased arm. The hoothoot struggles, kicking a pile of worn snow in the face of said zangoose; she winces as she struggles to see through it. Punching downward, she manages to strike Hermes, but with nowhere near the force she planned (5% damage to Hermes). She wipes the acidic snow from her face whilst simultaneously preparing for her next attack; however, before she can even lift her foot, Hermes engulfs her in a purplish aura, causing her some mental strain (5% damage to Romuyan). She cries as she is hurled a few feet further from her opponent. Hermes then waddles over to his adversary furiously (proving to be quite difficult given the situation). Furiously, he slams into Romuyan with as much power as he can muster (8% damage to Romuyan), however, is shocked when the zangoose lifts him up and proceeds to slam him to the icy ground below (12% damage to Hermes).

    the results
    Both pokémon very weak and very tired; they once more feel the venomous strains of both the acid snow and their own poison (2% damage to Hermes; 7% damage to Romuyan). Without the will to go on, both pokémon simultaneously faint into the snow.

    Hm... both pokémon fainted simultaneously due to the acid rain. We could do a tie breaker, but I know MLG needs to get to his match with Chris 2.0, and Weasel Overlord somehow put herself in five matches; so ending this would seem beneficial to us all. Divide the points amongst yourselfs, I figure. Three each? That sounds fair.

    Yeah three each would be perfect. And you receive 4 as usual I presume?

    MLG: 3 points
    WO: 3 points
    Grey: 4 points

    Fair?

    Well, ref's generally receive two points per pokémon, so four is good. As long as Weasel's okay with this, I'll hand out the points accordingly.
