I was about to choose either my Murkrow or Absol, but they’re both Dark type, so it seems a bit unfair to use against Girafarig. Plus, this next Pokemon could use a bit of experience…

All right, I’ll choose Iron Maiden, my female (I know- you could put it up as a genderless, but I refer to call it a “she” rather than “it”) Magnemite!


Maiden, assuming that you’re floating, I want you to use Agility. Let’s see if Kawaii is speedy enough to follow your movement and attack you from below! Then, give her Swift. We’ll end with a Shockwave.

Round One, Begin!

Two friends decide to have a friendly battle. After a long wait on the ref, the female trainer sends a Girafarig, appropriately named "Cute." Cool. The young man releases a Magnemite, named after a band the ref doesn't really care for. The commands are issued, and the battle begins. Both Pokemon begin by circling each other at high speed, showing off their incredible agility. (-6% EN) It's similiar to a kind of dance, with Iron Maiden flying above and Kawaii galloping below.

Iron Maiden comes to a stop, humming in mid-air. His magnets circle and twitch as he prepares to make an attack. Kawaii is faster. The multi-colored horse Pokemon leaps into mid-air suddenly, slamming a hoof into Maiden's eye. (-4% HP, -2% EN) The blow is debalitating and distracting in its speed; Iron Maiden abruptly abandons his attack in its shock.

Iron Maiden runs an electric current through its body, using its magnets to maintain the charge. It drops to a lower altitude swiftly, and discharges the current, sending bolts of lightning from its body. The Shockwave homes in on its foe, zapping Kawaii again and again. (-7% HP, -4% EN) The Girafarig shakes off the tingling sensation, lowering her head. Her antennae glimmer a light purple color, before a bolt of mental energy flies forth. The Psybeam collides with Iron Maiden squarely, pushing it back in mid-air. (-8% HP, -5% EN)

Maiden, Mimic the Future Sight and send it back towards Kawaii. That should give her something to worry about in the future.

Then, get yourself near her and relax. Find an opening in her Light Screen; she couldn’t possible cover every inch of her perimeter. If somehow you can’t use the Mimicked Future Sight in last turn, use it now.

When she tries to Mimic, you send out a Toxic! But if you think Toxic can’t go through the shield, then relax. Let’s see if she can mimic that.

And in case Kawaii’s future sight goes off, get as close to Kawaii as possible.

Round Two, Begin!

Kawaii's eyes shimmer, shifting to a violet color. She glimpses into the future and releases a large amount of psychic energy at the appropriate moment in time. Odd... a slight grin appears on her face, before her eyes shift back to its original appearance. (-6% EN) Maiden, who has watched the whole spectacle closely, soon follows suit. Her one eye shifts to a purple hue, as she copies Kawaii's actions exactly. (-6% EN)

Kawaii grunts in concentration, her other self- a "tail" of sorts, barks angrily. Slowly, two yellow screens appear on either end of Kawaii, enveloping her. Her two minds work in perfect sync, protecting her quite effectively. (-6% EN). Iron Maiden looks over the screeen, but doesn't see a path- it's a bit too protected. So, she settles for relaxing near the screen. (+8% EN)

With the Light Screen set in place, Toxic wouldn't be too effective here. Iron Maiden continues to relax. Kawaii, watching the Magnemite...relaxes as well. Boring. (+8% EN)

Weird... I thought Kawaii's energy should be lower than that...

Maiden, float above the Light Screen; use Shockwave and force them to go through any opening available on Kawaii’s Light Screen. Continue for two more times. If the Light Screen is broken, fire a Thunderbolt. If her Future Sight triggers off, teleport yourself behind her so that she receive the blow.

Think, think, think. Kawaii, trust your Light Screen and relax. Let's hope that the first Shockwave doesn't break through your defenses. Then fire a Shadow Ball when you have an opening. If your Light Screen breaks or if those Future Sights come for you, use Double Team. If nothing else, it'll lower your chances of being hit by your own Future Sight.

Kawaii relaxes,leaving it up to her Screen to protect her from harm. (+8% EN) A few feet away, Maiden trembles with electrical power. A burst of lightning bolts slams against Kawaii's shield, making it shudder, but keeping her from harm. The shield holds, for now...(-4% EN)

However, in order to attack, Kawaii must lower her own shield, or risk her attack slamming against the inside. Seeing an opening, Maiden follows up with his electric attack, discharging another barrage of bolts, which shock the giraffe one by one.(-7% HP, -4% EN)Trembling and twitching, Kawaii hastens to keep her focus. Both heads sync as one, gathering spectral energy from the environment and forming it into a sphere in front of them. When the energy is completed, Kawaii smacks it with a hoof, sending it sailing into Maiden. (-8% HP, -5% EN)

At that very moment, a breeze starts up. Both Pokemon can hear a peculiar whistling sound, and their senses begin to tingle- something is coming. Rushing from nothingness, a great mass of violet energy shoots towards Iron Maiden- Future Sight. Quickly calling upon latent psychic powers, Maiden disappears from sight, leaving Kawaii to take the blow- she didn't have a chance to use Double Team. (-8% HP, -6% EN) Maiden hums smugly from behind Kawaii, before a second mass of purple mental power crashes into her from above. (-8% HP) The Magnemite is sent to the earth, thoroughly confused.

Note: FS is meant to come when the opponent is surprised- Kawaii would foresee Maiden's teleport- she took Maiden's blast, which Maiden teleported from, and then attacked from a different angle. Consequently, Maiden would attack before Kawaii could dodge her FS.

Round Four, Begin!

Kawaii closes her eyes, mentally preparing herself for the battle ahead. A light violet aura emantes from her, boosting her mental power and concentration. (-4% EN) Iron Maiden studies the giraffe creature carefully. Then, hesitantly, it closes its own eyes, stilling its mind. In the same method, an aura builds around it, slowly at first, before stabilizing. (-4% EN) Maiden also gains the effects of the Calm Mind.

Feeling pretty ready for battle, Kawaii's eyes snap open. The Magnemite's single eye is still closed, giving her a perfect opportunity. She lowers her head, before concentrating on the air around her, which shimmers in response. Neighing, she fires a mental bolt of power, which ripples with energy as it appears in the air, streaking towards the Magnemite. The attack is dead on and perfectly executed, but Maiden's mental prowness has boosted as well. (-6% EN) It opens its eye and disappears from sight an instant before contact, re-appearing a few feet above Kawaii. (-5% EN) The Psychic bolt flies into the distance before dissapating.

With her target in the air, Kawaii feels a bit frustrated. How in the world is she supposed to squish the magnet into the earth if its above her? Whining in annoyance, she barely notices Maiden quiver with electric energy. She looks up at the exact same moment the Thunder descends, slamming with thousands of volts of electricity, lighting her up like a Christmas tree. (-12% HP, -6% EN)

Kawaii doesn't lose her cool- the focus from Calm Mind keeps her steady. As Iron Maiden's electric bolt bursts forth, the giraffe-beast splits into three copies at once. (-5% EN) Maiden's Thunderbolt passes harmlessly through one of the Kawaii copies, losing its force as it travels on. (-6% EN)[/color]

Deciding to eliminate the copies first, Maiden generates a smaller, more precise amount of electricity. She hovers lower, eyeing each of the clones one by one. Satisfied with her target, she releases a barrage of electric bolts from both magnets, which home in on Kawaii with impeccable accuracy. Cutting through Kawaii's remaining double, they flit towards the true Kawaii as one. (-5% EN) However, seconds before impact, they slam into a nigh-invisible barrier of light in front of Kawaii, which protects her from harm. (-7% EN)

Iron Maiden attempts to follow her last command, but having no access to ice OR wind, the move fails miserably. Taking advantage of the opening, Kawaii takes aim at the floating magnet, collecting ethereal energy together into a sphere. When the energy reaches critical mass, she releases the attack, which streaks through the air before striking Iron Maiden in the eye. The Magnemite tumbles through the air before catching itself- it feels as if her iron body is crumbling...(-9% HP, -6% EN)
