Plot
In the mid-90s, Prof. Charles Xavier's School for Gifted Youngster began to take on more students. Not just any "gifted" children, either. Not the usual 10 year old prodigy who can do a trig problem in his head in .2 seconds. He's not ruled out, but this is for the more..."spectacular" students. Or should we say...Uncanny?

One day, however, the letter arrived. Not so mysteriously. It arrived like any other letter from a prestigious school. In a manila envelope, with pamphlets and other material. Nothing about it seemed all too unusual. And why should it? Prof. Xavier was a respected member of society, and always willing to help those around him, with or without "extra-human abilities".

The letter reads as follows.

Dear Sir or Madam;
It has recently come to the attention of myself and my staff that your child may not be like other children.

While we all believe our child is special...different...yours may be...more unique than most.

I of course mean you no alarm, and only wish to educate your child and yourselves about these changes. My school is government funded, and thus I only require a small fee of $80, with the first month payable upfront, and each months payment due at the END of the month. Payment plans can be discussed on campus if you choose to enroll your son or daughter. This payment goes towards the child's needs first and foremost. Any medication, most food, all clothing, and "living needs"(toiletries, bed sheets, pillows, even computers and televisions) are all covered by the government. This fee is merely to cover the child's recreational needs which are not provided by the government, such as video games, an internet connection, or any sports not currently supported by the Institute.

I urge you to take this letter seriously. Your child is, of course, not a burden on yourself or myself, but their needs would be better suited in this environment. Visiting hours are very accommodating, starting as early as 7AM on weekends, but not until 3:30 (after class hours) on Weekdays. All days, visiting hours at 11PM.

The instructors are as follows(OOC: Ages aren't in letter, just a reference):

Scott Summers(32): Auto shop, Tech. Generally considered the "tough but fair" teacher. Many girls have referred to him as the "dreamy teacher", I simply call him my Vice Principal.

Ororo Munroe(31): English, Earth Sciences, Biology and Botany. An intelligent young woman, and Scott's only rival as the "school heartthrob(Albeit among the boys) as well as the second VP.

Jean Grey-Summers(29): English, Reading/Spelling(for younger students). Scott's wife of 7 years now. Her time with us is growing short, as they plan to have children, but she has promised to live on sight so as not to abandon her students.

James "Logan" Howlett(Looks 37, actually over 100): Physical Education. James accepts no "slacking" in his gym class. His co-coach is generally his biggest focus of aggravation, yet they remain close friends.

Katherine "Kitty" Pryde(24): Computer science, Math, Sex Ed(for the girls). Mr.Hewlett's "unofficial girlfriend". The two are not formally dating, but the two share a close bond, despite her youth and energetic nature. Both make her a perfect choice to teach the girls about the other changes in their bodies.

Remy Le Beau(28): Science, Math, Physical Education/Sex Ed(for the boys). James' friend and constant source of aggression. Being such a 'charmer' and a 'ladies man' gives the boys confidence learning the changes of their bodies.

Henry "Hank" McCoy(44): It is impossible to pin one "job" on Dr.McCoy, as he seems to excel in all forms of education. He is generally our "fill-in" when necessary, although he is also the head of the Science program.

Carol Danvers(33): Self-Defense. Ms.Marvel, as she is well-known, is more-or-less "on loan" from the Avengers, currently. I've yet to meet a young man at my school not head-over-heels in love with her.

We look forward to your child's enrollment in our school. Please do not hesitate to call and ask for a guided tour of the premises. It would be our pleasure.

The open house sessions begin August 20th from noon till 8, and end August 26th. Although the semester starts September 1st, so the sooner the better!

The entire letter is obviously photocopied from an original letter. Of course, the signature is quite original, as the ink can still be seen as having ran in a few spots. The phone number seems to hang ominously at the bottom of the letter, almost beckoning you to call...

Yes, you CAN pick an exisitng X-Men character, but please take into considering I'm gonna be picky on wether you know them well enough or not.
Notes on powers - You can be as strong as you want, really. But have some sort of sense. I'm not gonna accept a Superman knock-off without a big limitation or I know you're a good enough RPer to actually make it work.
Superstrength classes work as follows:
Human class - This is the weight is says. "Human class 150" is a normal humans strength of being able to lift 150lbs.
Superhuman class - Up to 100, this is the weight it says in tons. Superhuman class 70 is the ability to lift 70 tons.
Superhuman class 100+ - This is 100 or more tons. If you choose this, please list the amount(I.e "100+ 200 tons." Class 100+, capable of lifting 200 tons).

[God of Death]

Name: Emma Tachi
Nickname: Solaris (it'll get explained in the "Powers Section")
Age: 16
Gender: Female

Appearence: Emma is tiny for her age, being at five feet tall. She has waist-length long, midnight black hair with light blue highlights, usually pulled up into a messy bun. Her eyes are a dark brown colour, with swirls of dark blue near the pupils, which is hard to see if your not looking for them. Skin coloration is tanned from spending many hours outside. Usually wears dark coloured blue jeans and a simple white tee-shirt, with black and white sneakers.

Costume appearances: She wears black leather pants that fight snugly, with a black tank top. Emma also wears a black leather jacket. (sorry...this one got me ;_

Powers: Emma absorbs UV rays from the sun, or any other source of UV radiation, and uses the UV rays as an energy source to cause explosions. She is also an Empath.

Limitations: Emma needs to get UV rays to survive, or else she weakens over an hour period to the point of barely being able to move. Other than that, she cam become fatigued if she over-exerts her powers. Has to get, at the very least, 3 hours of radiation. She also can't be around a group of people numbering 10 or more, as her empathy will overpower her with emotions and cause her intense pain. Luckily for her, her empathy awareness only extends to a radius of 5 feet.

History: She was born into a normal middle class family. The first 15 years of her life were happy, she was popular, had many, what seemed to her, good friends. Then a few days after her "sweet sixteenth birthday party," she accidently blew up a globe in her World History class. Ever since then she was shunned by the rest of the school, called a "freak" almost all the time, and her boyfriend broke up with her, causing her to go home, and cry herself to sleep. Since she was shunned, she threw herself into her studies. When her empathy ability emerged, she was unable to go out in places with large groups of people, which made her miserable and lonely.
Alliance: Emma is allied to the X-men.

Relationships: Emma used to have a boyfriend, but the second he found out she was a mutant, he broke their relationship off. (open)

Other: Emma, after her empathy powers emerged, is now extremely afraid of large groups of people. (If anyone can tell me what the phobia of large groups of people is, you'll either get a pound of cheesecake, or a big box of skittles...)

[Dr.McNinja]

Name: Remy Etienne LeBeau

Nickname: Gambit

Age: 28

Gender: Male

Appearance: See attached picture, I’m assuming this is Pre-Death Gambit…mostly on the assumption that Death’d have better things to do than teach >_>

Costume appearence: Same as the picture, though he has grown his hair out a bit more (mid-neck length)

Powers: Gambit can charge objects with energy, causing them to become explosive upon striking any object with some force. The “technical” way his powers work (or at least the way I’ve understood them) is that Gambit is able to cause all of the potential energy in an object to release at once, causing a violent explosion in the process. Gambit is only able to charge objects that he touches and then only inanimate ones (no power-up in this RP). Gambit’s ability to control energy also seems to have given him some increase in agility, making him a proficient fighter at either hand-to-hand or with his bo staff. Finally, Gambit seems to have some minor “charm” powers that make others more amicable towards his ideas though the power is far from strong and can easily be overcome by those with strong wills.

Limitations: As said before, Gambit can only use his powers on inanimate objects, so he couldn’t just grab a bad guy and cause them to explode (darn). He has no superhuman durability so he relies on his agility to prevent himself from getting smushed by those stronger than him. Other than that, his powers aren’t that overwhealming to need too many limits.

History: Jeez…uh…here this’ll save my typing fingers from falling off http://www.marvel.com/universe/Gambit I don’t know at what point in the X-Men history this is taking place in so if you want to specify that I can give a shortened version of his history up to that point. The only specifics that I need to stress is that, in this RP, Gambit is his normal powered self, not the super-powered version he was for a brief time after Sinister worked with him.

Alliance: X-Men/Neither (Gambit’s loyalties have been known to be in question throughout his tenure with the X-Men so I’m leaving this a bit open)

Relationships: Has an on/off relationship with Rogue (who I guess I’ll NPC if no one takes her) that is marred mostly by their inability to physically touch due to Rogue’s powers. Is friendly with most of the X-men though there is some tension due to his criminal upbringing (less due to the fact that he was a criminal and more about his mindset and behavior).

Other: Gambit can speak French fluently and is a master thief (though a bit out of practice due to his years with the X-men)

[Heald]

Name: Robert McCarthy
Nickname: Werekid (will initially insist on being called 'Wereman')
Age: 16
Gender: Male

Appearance: As outlined in powers, he can transform. For a 16 year old, he has more facial and body hair than one would expect, especially his sideburns, back, legs and arms. He shaves regularly. His hair is long and messy and is a dark brown. He is about 5' 11". His canines are quite fang-shaped. His eyebrows are quite bushy too. He might look small but is in fact quite muscular and agile. Normally wears a t-shirt, jeans and trainers. His forms are outlined below :

Wereboar - Grows to about 6' 4", dark brown hair envelops his body and he grows plumper. His nose becomes a snout, his ears pointed and tusks grow on his mouth. His feet and hands become hooves. Will usually walk around on all fours in this form.
Werewolf - Grows to about 6' 8", silver-greyish hair envelops his body and he grows more muscular. His face becomes more canine complete with wet black nose and larger, sharper teeth. His hands become more paw-like with large claws. Can walk on his hind legs.
Werebear - Grows to about 7', black hair envelops his body and he grows much largered. Has a wet black nose and larger sharper teeth. He also has large sharp claws.

Costume Appearance: Wears a black full-body costume with a stretchy black costume covering only his torso, groin and thighs. Obviously when he transforms, the inner costume rips but the stretchy costume remains on his person.

Powers: As his name might suggest, he can transform in animal-human forms. This depends on the time of the Lunar Month (although he does not actually have to see the moon to transform). If the moon is waxing, he can transform into a wereboar. If the moon is nearly full or full, then he can transform into a werewolf. If the moon is waning, he can transform into a werebear. Each form has its own abilities :
Wereboar - the fastest of the forms and able to charge and ram
Werewolf - the most agile and able to leap great heights
Werebear - the strongest of the forms
Limitations: Obviously he can't control which form he wants. He can transform at any time, but his powers are more developed at night than at day. He also can't transform if he doesn't have enough strength or energy.
History: He has come from England to join the Institute. He has been plagued by his forms and begged his parents to let him go to America to join the Xavier school. They reluctantly accepted and he is currently living there until term begins. As for his powers, they manifested when he was 14 and at first he wasn't able to control them after sundown, but he has trained himself at least to keep himself from transforming unwillingly.
Alliance: X-Men
Relationships: None so far.
Other: An adept flutist.

[Bison Woes]

Name: Dierdre "Drey" Williams
Nickname: Osprey. Dierdre picked this nickname out of a hat, even though she hates water.
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Appearence: A very thin, tiny girl is the first impression many have. Standing just under five feet, Dierdre barely meets any health standards. She has to be tiny in order for herself to fly. Her dark brown hair is cut incredibly short, making her look boyish. Dierdre has larger eyes than most, allowing her to see objects clearly at about 100 feet in the air. Two large, brown bird-like wings pop out from a second pair of shoulder blades, making clothes hard to find and wear. With a 34 foot wingspan, it's a slightly impressive display when her wings are out. She wears whatever she can find that fits and that can be easily altered for her wings. Most shirts have to have the backs cut out with small strips to hold it on across her neck and back and down her spine. Dierdre has large muscles around her chest and back to be able to move her wings but very little fat. Claws adorn her fingers instead of nails. Her toes are longer than most humans, allowing her to use them as though they were second fingers. Claws also tip each one, making it hard for her to wear any sort of footwear.
Costume appearence: She doesn't have a set costume but usually is found wearing incredibly light weight material to ensure that her clothes don't weigh her down in flight. It mostly consists of a regular tank top with almost the entire back cut out and a pair of pants. She never wears shoes because of her feet.
Powers: Ability of flight due to two brown bird-like wings popping out from a second pair of shoulder blades and incredibly sharp vision. She is swift in the air but clumsy on the ground. Dierdre can carry light loads when flying but has not mastered carrying a full grown person.
Limitations: Dierdre can swim but doesn't because of her body's new make-up. Getting wet would make her unable to fly so she stays clear of water. Also has incredibly thin and small bones which are easy to break. A ten foot fall onto hard ground could spell life or death for her. Dierdre rarely fights hand to hand because of her physical limitations. She also has a hard time walking on two legs because of her thin bones and carrying two 16 foot wings is tough. She often goes about on all fours, putting most of the weight on her arms which are somewhat stronger. Because of her body's metabolism, she must eat a lot of protein and sugar (much more than normal human standards) to keep herself healthy. Too little makes her weak and unable to lift off.
History: Dierdre grew up in "the boondocks" as some people call it. Her family hadn't been very rich since the beginning but have tried their best to stay in the game. She never did well at school because she saw no reason on why she had to. Obsessed with superheroes, she often dreamed of becoming one instead of doing her homework. However, she has never had a nerve to do anything to help others at all. When her "powers" started to kick in, she hid in the swamps until her parents finally found her, completely changed after one week of living in the muck. They were quite surprised and almost shunned her until the Letter came in the mail. Dierdre kept to herself more than ever, often leaving out into the swamps and disappearing for days at a time. She always came back though, never being able to take full care of herself. Her trips into the swamp allowed her to gain some experience with her wings, especially in dodging and quick turns.
Alliance: Neutral at the moment but does not like to see people in pain and does whatever she can if she feels like she has to. However, she isn't what people consider brave and sometimes backs off when people need her.
Relationships: None really. Her parents reacted somewhat badly to her new look that switched a healthy girl into a somewhat monster and she will cut ties when she's away from them at school. She is incredibly nervous though and is not seeking any real relationships for quite a while.

[Everoy]

Name: Tyler “Ty” Marten
Nickname: Specter
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Appearance: Ty is 6'2" and weighs 140 lbs. with a slightly muscular build. His skin is tanned peach. He has ghostly white eyes and short blonde hair. He wears a long sleeve white shirt with a black vest over is and black jeans.
Costume appearance: He doesn't have a costume, but usually wears a black t-shirt and jeans when he actually plans to do something.
Powers: Ty can turn himself invisible, and while he's invisible, he can walk through walls. He can also levitate about three feet of the ground whether invisible or not.
Limitations: Ty cannot stay invisible for over an hour or he becomes extremely mentally and physically drained. If he levitates for over half-an-hour he gets a bit loopy.
History: Since he was young, Ty was always overlooked. He was a middle child, with an older brother and two twin sisters a year younger than him. He was always shy and unnoticed in school. One day in eighth he was walking home from school and he saw a shortcut through an alley. He came across a mysterious man who offered to give him a ride home. Ty knew not to accept rides from strangers, but he had gotten lost. He told the man his address. The man offered him a bottle of water and Ty accepted. The water tasted funny and Ty passed out. When he woke up he was on his front lawn. Nothing was stolen from him and he didn’t feel strange, so he didn’t mention it to his parents. The next morning, he woke up on the floor under his bed. During school, he felt even more invisible than usual. Between second and third period, he passed out in the hallway. Everyone who saw said it looked like he had fallen out of nowhere… He wasn’t ignored anymore, but everyone stared at him when he walked by and whispered about him, saying he was like a specter, so that was how he thought of himself… Specter. Over the next few years, he could control it more, and learned he could walk through walls, but he still went invisible at unexpected times now and then. A month before he got the letter of Prof. Xavier, he started levitating. When he got the letter, he convinced his parents it was for the best, and maybe he could finally be around people who wouldn’t ignore him or hate him.
Alliance: Neither (good) ATM, but will probably align himself with the X-Men.
Relationships: None, he tends to be a loner, but he will likely make some friends among his classmates.

[Crazy Elf Boy]

Name: Matt Bennet
Nickname: Fear
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Appearence: He stands about 5'8" with short black hair, dull blackish eyes and a scar across his left cheek. He normally wears dark coloured T-shirts with long pants. Carries a small dagger attached to his belt as a little trinket.
Costume Appearence: His costume is jet black robes with a black cape that give him a lot of maneuverability.
Powers: He has the power to manipulate the energy of shadows, inspiring fear into others and weiled shadow for attacks etc.
Limitations: He really doesn't like using his powers unless he is in trouble cause the last time he used them at will he accidently killed his best friend.
History: He discovered his powers at the age of 7 when he realised that animals didn't like him and he shot a squirrel out of a tree using the power of shadows. At high school he was picked on a lot becuase people "labled" him as a freak. This eventually lead to him geting angry and using his powers to fight back which lead to his friend being killed by accident, after that he vowed never to use his powers agin.

Nickname: Emerald
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Appearence: She stands at a height of 5'4", and has brown hair that takes on a reddish tint when the sun hits it just right. Her eyes are a vibrant green color and her hair is down to her shoulders in a single braid. She normally wears black jeans, a grey T-shirt, and a black denim jacket. Also, at all times a blood pressure/pulse monitor is strapped around her wrist.
Costume appearence: She wears a black leotard and a Dark Green set of pants, over which she wears a dark green cloak. She also still has the wrist monitor.
Powers: She is able to produce, shape, and kinetically control a tough, durable form of emerald green crystal. She can currently produce and control about five cubic feet of the material, though she's working on expanding that. Also, the crystal rapidly breaks down when she stops controlling it.
Limitations: When using her powers, her blood pressure rises, and after around five to ten minutes it begins to get too high, causing her to get a nosebleed and pass out, not to mention the long term possibility of a stroke or other related problems.
History: Melody has always been rather bookish, being a chronic reader, causing her to mostly be a loner througout her school career, only having a couple like minded people for friends. The best friend she's ever had is one known as Jane Fairbrooks, an aspiring artist. Life for Melody has been, up until the last year, uneventful, until a year ago, her powers emerged. Throughout the day that it happened, she'd been plagued with a nasty headache and when over at Jane's house, she suddenly produced a block of the crystal, and passed out. Jane has kept the secret from those who haven't needed to know, and actively supported Melody's decision to accept the offer in Xavier's letter.
Alliance: Allied with X-men
Relationships: Her friend Jane lives not more than a good day away, so she can visit her when she desires, other than that, open.

[Ultimate Charizard]

Dun Dun DUNN!!! and no its not the Spider/Wolverine cross for once!

Name: Gavin Wynder (still havent come up with a better name)
Nickname: CounterForce (prefers Gav in any situation though)
Age: 18
Gender: M
Appearence: Stands about 6ft tall. Blue eyes and Brown hair. Pretty Athletic but not overly built.
Costume appearence: Black Jumpsuit with a yellow belt and Yellow V shape running over his shoulders and across his chest
Powers: Energy Fields. Can create Powerfull Force fields in multiple forms to block most physical attack, this includes vibration attacks such as Sonic Energies and Energy weapons. Once his shields are hit however they begin to charge, actually getting stronger rather than weaker and can then be focused into concussive energy blasts. The bigger the beating the shield takes the more powerfull the Attack. Also has short range Teleporting abiities.
Limitations: Is unable to launch any sort of attack without a shield being charged. Is just a normal guy physically. No super strength, resiliency or Agility etc.
History: Just an average guy. Average upbringing, average student, average athlete though usually enthusiastic at whatever he attempted. Discovered his powers at around 13. Was involved in prank that went wrong and was trapped in a burning building. As the building collapsed he managed to protect himself with a shield and Teleported clear. Always told his friends he managed to get out the back before it fell. Has never revealed his powers to anyone and is joining the school of his own accord, not his parents.
Alliance: Is a good guy but no allegiance yet as he doesnt know any other mutants and doesnt trust anyone yet.
Relationships: None. Is willing to make friends and can be very loyal but is untrusting at the moment due to societies view on mutants.
Other: Bamf's other off a cliff.

And now, MINE

Name: Michael Silvern
Nickname: Freion
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Appearence: He stands about 5'10 with messy brown hair. He wears a black band t-shirt*usually Metallica* and khaki pants. His sneakers are brown and black, non-descript and nothing special. He has thin-framed glasses which stay firmly stuck to his face even in stressful situations. While not unattractive, he's nothing particulary special as far as looks go.
Costume appearence: A dark blue 2-piece set with a light blue streak down the legs. He wears yellow gloves, and a strap across his chest, the X embedded beneath the left shoulder on the strap.
Powers: Control/Creation/Manipulation of the Elements(Earth, Wind, Fire, Water) and their inanimate offshoots(electricity, ice. No plant-life). He can take the shape of the elements, but only Earth, Water, or Ice so far. He can fly by projecting winds beneath/around him, and breaths in a vacuum or underwater by recirculating air through his lungs. This also allows him to fly at great heights and speeds. He can "see" through water or while moving at high speeds by tuning his eyes to match the element well-enough to pierce through it. Top flight speed is 300mph. 70mph without fatigue, and 400mph for VERY short bursts. He is also immune to heat in excess of 3000* and colds of near-absolute zero. Much like Iceman, his ice does not melt for up to 30 minutes after creation without a concious effort to keep it frozen, or intense constant pressure and heat.

Limitations: His powers, like all abilities of the human body, cause fatigue. Over time, his powers take their toll. Generally, firing blasts, flight, and taking on the form of Earth, Water, or Ice are not so taxing. While he DOES have the POTENTIAL to level a city with a heat blast, he'd be too weak to regulate the temperature. Fatigue drains his powers as a whole(meaning if he tires himself out using his powers, he "loses" them for a short time).

He also has all limitations of the other elements in their forms. I.e fire is susceptable to water, Earth is incredibly heavy(but sturdy and strong, granting class 10*10 tons* strength.)
History: At the age of 12, Michael Silvern felt...different. Not that he was an outcast. He was, but he literally FELT differently. While his family insisted he was being 'weird', young Michael felt his body growing freezing cold, burning hot, and then tingling with energy. It wasn't until age 14 that he learned that he had powers.

In an attempt to save himself from drowing, the boy froze the water around him, as well as forcing himself to convert water into air subconciously. Since that date, he had been trying to control his powers, training with them on his own, before finally being inducted into Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.

His first day, he was challenged out of the crowd by Ms.Danvers to "give [her] all [he's] got." He complied, and fired a bolt of electricity, striking her heart. Without so much as a flinch, the bolt seemed to dissipate. He was told to try again, and this time, a stone fist erupted from the earth and clutched Ms.Danvers, a force that could crush a normal humans flesh. Of course, not being a normal human, the beautiful woman shattered the stone easily, and floated gently down to earth, kissing the awe-struck boys forehead and smiling.
"Thanks sweety. You did good." Was her response to the blushing, awe(and now, love)-struck child. She began to explain her point, but no one was listening. Instead they opted to tease the "teachers pet".

This didn't get any better when the newest graduate and inductee onto the staff, Kitty Pryde, was picked as his "senior buddy" to show him around school. Now, he had more than just a pretty face and impressive display of power to fall for, as she seemed more than happy to converse with the quiet boy. He'd throw out an awkward joke occasionally, leading other students to chuckle at his shyness, but the girl took all his clumsy flirting in stride. Of course her "father figure"(and some suspect, boyfriend) didn't take kindly to her treatment of him, and thus began to treat the boy differently, starting his rough journey through the school years.

Mike has not forgotten his first day, or even his crush for Kitty Pryde, but his grades have been steadily in the low Cs', leaving his teachers a bit worried. Mr.Summers(the boys favorite teacher, aside from "Ms.Pryde"), took him aside before a tech shop, and warned him that his slipping grades threatened his "Danger Room privelages", which would force him to play make-up with more conventional means of practice.

Alliance: X-Men
Relationships: Has a crush on "Ms.Pryde". Being younger though makes it a bit hard to be anything but a crush. And of course, Carol Danvers biggest fan.
Other: He's the subject of jokes as he's usually taking the role of "team leader", although never doing very well.

Appearence: Long almost white blond hair with a fluffy feathery appearance, piercing green eyes. Is pretty tall for a girl, standing close to 6 ft tall, though not quite. Has a well proportined body, not overly skinny, and a well toned frame.The skin you can see has a slight tan to it. Sounds about normal right? Guess again. She has a light feathery brushing of white fur over her arms from the shoulder to the elbow, and from her collar bone to mid stomach (so if she wanted to, she could go shirtless but she has modesty lol) her ears look like big fluffy wolfs ears and she has a long slender but fluffy wolf-like tail (dont worry shes not a werewolf, its just for appearances ^-~) Think Nightcrawler, in the way that her outward appearance has mutated along with her power. Usually dresses in long sleeved shirts that arent low cut when going out in public, more for her familys sake than hers. When her fur is showing people tend to stare, knowing what she is but she doesnt particulary care.

Costume appearence: Blue and black spandex with a hole in the back for the tail, a crescent moon shape on her headband (Im not good with superhero costumes so if anyone has any suggestions LOL)

Powers: The power to influence gravity in herself and the world around her. She can make herself as heavy or as light as she wants, as well as create pockets of varying gravity in the area around her, up to 30 ft away.

Limitations: Her power waxes and wanes with the moon. When its a new moon she can barely do anything, and what powers she has are limited to herself only. When its a full moon she has the potential to do so much more. However right now, since shes relatively new at the school, her powers work unconsiously, and when she thinks too hard about it she cant do anything, it just has to come naturally. She still has a little more training to do to realise the full extent of her powers.

History: Always had a fascination with the moon. She felt alive when it was full, and depressed when it wasnt in the sky. At birth she had ears that were longer than the norm, but the doctors passed it off as a birth abnormality, and since she was able to hear fine, it was deemed harmless. She discovered her powers one day when she was being forced to go to the doctor. She remembered getting a shot once before and so rooted herself to the spot, her dad (who can bench press 350 lbs) found it impossible to lift her. It was later found that she went from 92 pounds to 635 lbs in a matter of seconds, with no real ill effects to speak of. After this her dad knew she wasnt normal, but for a few years no other instances have occured, until her 13th year she began to sprout the white fur, during the course of this year she grew the ears and tail the way it is today, and so was taken out of school and homeschooled to hide this fact from the world. In order to protect his daughter from mutant haters they moved, and she lost the friends she had. When before she a popular likable girl, now she was alone, with only her little sister and her dad as friends. She hated the change at first, due to her newfound lonliness, but her dad and sister kept her spirits up, telling her that she was like this for a reason, and that it was special. So with her old confidence nearly back, she looks forward to attending the Profs school and being with others who are also 'special'.

Alliance: X-Men, but more neutral than anything else.

Nickname: None really. Sometimes called “Dr. Geek”, “Mr. Genius” and “God of Technobabble” on occasion.
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Appearance: About 5’4’’, blue eyes, ruffled black hair. He wears a usual plaid suit with a blue undershirt, and thatch pants. He’s your general geek. When not “at work” (at lab) he wears black jeans, black t-shirt, and sometimes goggles.

Costume appearance: Since he stays at the school all the time, he never wears a costume.

Powers: He is a genius, but not that “child prodigy” type. He knows all the scientific knowledge on this planet and maybe even extra-terrestrial knowledge…no one really knows the limits his mind has. He’s always open for learning, and some teachers exclude him from class because he’s too good. The other side is that he never forgets any of it. His subconscious mind reaches out and essentially copy and pastes knowledge from everyone around him into his brain. Mainly the scientific knowledge.

Limitations: He may get increasingly unstable if he doesn't’t think for an extended amount of time. And headaches. REALLY bad ones. Like the ones that make you go insane. The ones that even overdosing on Advil won’t help with. Some wonder how he sleeps…if he ever does. He actually works out equations in his head. Sometimes getting up in the night to write it down then get some more sleep only to wake up minutes later with another equation. So he’s almost always red-eyed, somewhat agitated, but he’ll get better eventually.

History: He was a prodigy at a young age. He was always interested in the world of science and space. At age 13 he started getting really bad headaches. He found out (and so did his parents) that he would have to be constantly thinking about anything scientific to keep the headaches down. Soon he started inventing things that normal 13-year old boys don’t worry about-portable generators, Laptops as powerful as a supercomputer, and finally, at age 15, a Quantum Computer. When he turned it on, most of the power in the state was gone in about 10 seconds flat. All to get 30 seconds of usage. That was when the Letter came. His IQ started skyrocketing constantly. He was given the biggest room (complete with lab, computers, and a workshop with access to any material needed). His parents still visit him occasionally. He is often “everyone’s repairman” because he helped build and maintain some of the devices. Currently he’s gathering all sorts of stuff for another invention.

Alliance: Neutral. If someone needs some wacky invention, he’ll do it if you pay him a pretty penny. And I mean a really shiny and pretty penny.

Relationships: He and McCoy often have a rapid Q&A that some say that is one of those “have to see to believe” because they fire off questions and answer them faster than anyone alive. Ironically, he likes socializing. Mainly when that one experiment goes horribly wrong and needs an emotional lift. Edgar is often the envy of many students because of his smarts and because he was never marked a “Freak” in school (for the short time he was in school). He is often seen running around with paper and pencil going to either his room/lab or some classroom. Many of the teachers try to avoid him as a temporary substitute, to avoid him boring the students.

Other: 98% of his life is at his lab/workshop/computer. He always has a writing implement with him. Paper is his godsend. It means that he’ll be writing down the latest quantum physics on a napkin in 5 seconds flat if put near one. Often, his inventions and experiments go awry in the most comic way possible. He’ll also deny accidents to his dying breath. Actually, Xavier was planning to put non-disclosure agreements in every letter because some of the stuff was government related. And nuts all at the same time. He’s half-Russian, half-Canadian. A combo that spells trouble.

Nickname: Darkforce

Gender: male
Appearence: 6'1", short spiky fiery red hair, grey eyes that seem to glow faintly in the dark, athletic build, always wears black jeans and a black t-shirt.
Costume appearence: A pitch black hooded cloak that shrouds all his features in darkness. Dark grey and black armor appears under the cloak but shimmers and swirls like a living thing. His hands and lower legs emanate a black aura of energy. His costume is actually completely comprised of the darkforce energy he commands.
Powers: Taben can summon and control the extradimensional energy known as darkforce. With great control he can use the darkforce dimension to teleport him anywhere he can see (or anywhere within a mile he has been that has a shadow within it). He can also compel the energy to gift him with flight. Most commonly he is seen using it to generate weapons and firing powerful bolts of the black energy. It is possible he can learn to mold his darkforce energy into anything but so far he has only mastered fine manipulation on a smaller scale. He can cloak an area the size of a small office in darkforce that only he (or anyone else who can wield the energy, few though they are) can see through. He can also use the darkforce energy to enhance his physical abilities but so far he has only managed to increase his mobility with it. Lastly, he can use darkforce energy to dampen other forms of energy, although extremely bright light or hard energy (strong radiation, supercharged atmosphere) can overwhelm him when he tries.
Limitations: Trying to dampen very strong energy sources like direct sunlight or hard radiation can completely overwhelm him leaving him unconscious. Also in extremely bright light like direct sunlight his speed in flight and range/effectiveness in teleporting can grow very limited. It can limit him to only teleporting in shadows and can reduce his flight speed from upwards of 100 MPH to little over 10. His ability to fill an area with darkness is also limited in extremely bright lights. Where he might normally be able to fill a room he can only fill a few feet around himself in sunlight.
History: He was a normal kid. A bit rambunctious, a bit troublemaking, but nothing too serious. Not at first. Then his parents started fighting all the time. They were never violent towards each other or him but they were never quiet either. It started to seem to him like they never stopped yelling. One day when he was 12 he decided he just wanted to be somewhere else while they were arguing and after a moment of being engulfed in darkness he suddenly was. At first he was scared of what he could do. It was kind of creepy having the darkness seem to follow him and move like a living creature. By the time he was 14, though, he had started to embrace what it offered. And so his streak of mischief and minor mayhem began. It began with childish pranks. First neighbors, then local store owners, then larger businesses in the area all began wondering who was vandalizing their homes or places of business. Nothing horribly serious mind you. Just a lot of black paint and a laughing reaper on a few interior walls. When that started getting boring he moved on to petty theft. He started using his powers to steal. Normally he'd return whatever he had taken, albeit a little worse for wear. Sometimes he would leave them in creative places that they shouldn't have been able to get to. His crowning achievement was parking a squad car on the roof of the local courthouse. Eventually, however, it was discovered he was behind the now very long spree of mischief and vandalism. He was tranqed in his sleep by the authorities and sent to juvie. Of course, that failed to hold him at all. He was shipped around to a few institutes to try and curtail his mischievous appetite but none of the institutions designed to hold kids could keep him from escaping. Just recently the state has sent him to Xavier's school as a last resort before shipping him off ot a prison designed to hold mutant criminals.
Alliance: Undecided. He is extremely mischievous and thrives on the excitement of trouble but he never really hurts anyone. He hasn't shown much of an interest in helping either but he has yet to meet the right influence to sway him either way.
