A match was taking place. Trainers Crystal and Spike released their Pokemon, sending a Nidorino and a Staryu respectively. Staryu stood firmly while Nidorino pawed the ground.

Straight away Staryu surrounded itself in a green veil; it sparkled carefully and delicately as Nidorino crackled and fizzed with energy. Bolts arched off his body and clumped together, forming a collective wave that smashed into Staryu and dealt good damage to the water Pokemon.

Staryu's core then flashed and glowed brightly; as it did an odd, luminous energy enveloped Staryu as Nidorino blasted a series of supersonic rings through the air. They were prevented from hitting Staryu by the safeguard.

Finally Nidorino charged up electrical energy, firing off an arrow of blinding electrical energy. It drove right into Enigma, who gave a sharp noise of protest as it was hurtled back. Standing back up, its core glowing bright, Staryu gripped Nidorino and hurled him back, where he smashed into the jagged rocks and collapsed.
