Was browsing the webcomic site applegeeks when I noticed their newest rant about Apple's new glass store.

The design looks good, but then I read his rant which goes like this:

"The new Apple store in New York looks cool, but what if you were wearing a skirt and standing on the glass floor on the second or third floor?!"

LMAO I was actually in that new apple store a few weeks ago in NY, and that's exactly what I was thinking.

Some guy who commented on there said that the East Coast loves to hate the Midwesterners. HEY! GO HATE THE WEST COAST!

... Another one claimed you could tell the people were not midwestern tourists because of how they dressed. That confused me. The clothes there looked like the every day clothed crowd here. Weirdoes who think they know the Midwest!

(of course, I'm from Minnesota... which is way more north than the 'regulars' of the Midwest. We're a little cooler up here, no pun intended. )

But wow, that store does have way too much open space. I'd get bored easily.

Re: Upskirts. The glass is actually frosted - the same in all apple stores - so you don't see anything other than a shadow. Pervs.

EDIT: Though in those photos I can see some of their shoes pretty clearly. Meh, it's not like I'll ever be in there, anyway.

This seems like one of those incidents where the idea looked better on paper.

Although maybe the fact I've never really worn skirts may contribute to me being unfazed.

The floors are. The walls aren't. Which means if you were near the edge...

Still, I can assure you that there's gonna be a lot of voyuers there regardless. Frosted or not, it's still not opaque.

Kinda like how guys sit by the window of the top deck of a double-decker, so they can look down. *hint*hint*

Theres a nightclub near here that has a glass floor upstairs for that very reason lol.
