Ok im breeding a Lv:46 Mightyena with a Lv:39 Absol
(NOTE: i didnt really train them,well only up until they learned certain attacks and then threw em in the day care center.)
Absols(female) moves are:
Slash
Bite
Sword dance
Double team

Mightyenas(male) moves are:
Crunch
Bite
Sword dance
Double team

The only move i care from that set is crunch...but it never transfers over to the newborn absol. every single time the newborn starts out with the same 3 moves .."Leer","Scratch" and "Bite".Can anyone help me out here? Thanks

Crunch is not an egg move of Absol, that's why its not transferred across.

in other words, Absol CANNOT learn Crunch.

oh well... i think i got it now. So if i make a grumpig and a absol "get it on" then the absol will get magic coat right...

P.s- how is alakazam supposed to learn ice/fire/thunder punch?

Just remember that if you use Magic Coat, you're going to need a good sense of what direction the battle will be heading. If you're facing a Magneton, it's pretty obvious that there's going to be some Thunder Waving during the first turn, but most Pokémon don't routinely use conditional moves like that.

Hitmonchan learns all three. Unfortunately, he's not in the game.

Also, it's pretty strange that Kecleon, of all Pokémon that should learn it, can't learn Camouflage in any legal way.
