Hey everyone, do I have your attention yet? I’m hoping I do because I need your help. The RPG Awards are coming back (again), and this is the suggestion topic. You can suggest new awards for any category or which ones you think should be removed. Let’s try to make it fair alright? Don’t suggest an award a certain RPG or RPer in general will most likely win. Takes the fun right out of this entire process :3

Oh before we get to the awards suggestions and everything, I’ve noticed (as has Weasel Overlord) that the ‘RPG Awards’ is a little bit boring and normal for such a diverse forum. So a title for the awards is also up for suggestion ^_^ let your creative juices flow, and have fun.

Not to get into name suggestions, but anyone up for doing a "Razzies" type awards as well? Kalah did them once, where you had the Anti RPG Awards, as well as the RPG Awards which were pretty much of joke awards.

Best Themed/Fanwork RPG – A lot of RPG's here are based on games or books so why not an award for the RPG that best captures the spirit of that world? We have the Most Original Award so maybe there should be the equivalent for those based on others' works? Then maybe change the Most Original to Best Original RPG?
Best Plot Twist I'm sure everyone has had a wth? moment in an RPG when the creator does something you just were NOT expecting.
Best Collective Effort – you TRIED damn it; and by golly you tried well.

Dramatic Moment – think soap opera but better XD
Violent Scene - grr argh 'possible death'
Shocking Moment – doesn't have be EXPLOSION but you just weren't expecting it at all...

BTW when are these awards going back to? Only recent ones or going back to 2008? I ask because there hasn't been an RPG awards in a while suuu...

@ River: I was under the impression the awards were to active RPGs, or once that were recent anyways. I suppose certain awards could/would/should go to oldies, I just don't want the awards to focus to much on the past.

And as my own suggestion..

Just DIE Award- For the character that should die, for whatever reason, and stay *dead*.

Hm, I thought we had a best fanworks one already! Either way, I like that idea tooooo. We have a lot of fanworks (yes, I AM biased, shut up I write a lot of RPG fanfic), and I think there's good scope for nominations.

I think that Rio's Best Collective Effort is a less confusing title for the Most Persistent RPG, they basically mean the same thing, so I think we should replace the old one with BCE. Plus it kinda acknowledges everyone's part in keeping the RPG going.

Possibly rename Most Wanted RPG Type to Most Wanted RPG Genre? Removes confusion, again. I'm not sure about keeping in the Most Wanted Character, cos that's a bit confusing too (in my opinion). Also, Best Themed RPG? What are the themes in question?
