Default [Gym Challenge] Nsmbwii vs Crazy Elf Boy (Ref Oslo)

Ok Nsmbwii here is the deal for this match. It will be a 3 on 3 match with no banned moves in this arena here. If you manage to beat me then you win the two following things.

    My Badge:

and the chance to teach one of your pokemon who fights in the match my tutor move which is Earthquake. Some restrictions to that though, only Pokemon who can't evolve any further (ie Fully evolved pokemon or pokemon who don't evolve) can learn this move. But beware all pokemon who are on my team who meet those qualifications know it as well.

My first pokemon for the match shall be my Female Mismagius Mary Celeste, who has Levitate. Since I sent out it is your turn to attack, good luck in the match.

I'll send in Summer, my female shiny Scraggy who has Moxie.

First, use Snarl, then lead up with Faint Attack! Finally Crunch her!

If she tries to use some status mumbo jumbo, swap a move with Taunt!

Ok Mary lets use those subs against him to get some quick statuses in. Start off with a Taunt then hit him with a Thunderwave to activate his Taunt which will do nothing, finish off with a Toxic activating the Taunt again, which will do nothing.

    Taunt ~ Thunderwave ~ Toxic

Just a quick note here, at the bottom you have that Mary is still taunted for 2 more actions. Don't you mean Summer?

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    ‡ Round 2 ‡

As we enter the second round and find ourselves transported to a rocky basin, Summer seems to be commanding a slight lead. Intent on turning the tables, Mary Celeste spits out a tiny guttering flame that wafts toward Summer. However, with her sights set on staying on top, Summer commands some Dark-type hoodoo and vanishes on the spot. The Will-O-Wisp continues on its path and collides with a jagged boulder before sputtering out. No stranger to this particular tactic, Mary Celeste knows what’s coming next.

Summer reappears behind the Mismagius and lashes out with a closed fist that sparkles with black energy. Die, witch, die!

    Mary Celeste: <-11 HP; -4 EP>
    Summer: <-4 EP>

Mary Celeste frowns, not pleased with the way things are going. Time to bring out the big guns. In an attempt to throw off Summer, Mary Celeste darts about in the air, zigzagging in intricate patterns as she winds ever closer toward the Scraggy. Then, swooping down, she connects with a super effective Aerial Ace. Summer stumbles back, catching herself by grabbing onto a large bulldozer. However, Paralysis sets in and she finds herself holding this position.

    Mary Celeste: <-4 EP>
    Summer: <-9 HP; Can’t move!>

Rinse and repeat: with another set of dexterous airborne movements, Mary Celeste hammers poor Summer with another Aerial Ace. Damn, these things sting! Okay, enough is enough. Using complex Psychic powers, Summer invades Mary Celeste’s mind and begins engaging in some mental tomfoolery. Mary Celeste gives her head a shake, trying to free herself of this intrusive Scraggy’s tinkering, but it’s too late.

Just like that, Aerial Ace is gone. No more. Kaput. Adios.

Summer smirks. This rookie is not to be taken lightly.

Mary Celeste: <-4 EP; Aerial Ace forgotten>
    Summer: <-9 HP; -4 EP>

Summer then winces as the Toxin begins to step up its game <-5 HP>.

    ‡ Post-Round ‡

    Upcoming Field:

    Fighting Field: Dojo of Mahareta
Just a standard fighting dojo with many ornate armour and swords donning the walls (wink) and tatami mats lining the floor beneath, there are four pillars that hold the dojo off the ground they are sturdy but can be broken with enough force.
    Attacks powered up: Fighting
    Attacks weakened: Dark

You're doing good Summer! Since Dark attacks are weaker for now, let's go with a set of elemental punches! Fire Punch, Ice Punch, then a Thunder Punch for good measure!

If she tries to do Double Team, swap a single move with Faint Attack.

Ok lets start off with a Will-o-wisp to power down his future attacks, follow it up with a Confuse Ray and finish it with a Headbutt to knock it off balance so it can't attack.

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    ‡ Round 3 ‡

The third round dawns as we find ourselves transported to a fighting dojo replete with ornamental swords and various suits of armour. Undaunted by this sudden transition in location, Mary Celeste gives another Will-O-Wisp a go since her first one didn’t exactly pan out as desired. Summer can’t avoid the little blue flame this time around and winds up with a painful welt on her forehead. Immediate vengeance seems to be out of the question, too: Paralysis kicks in and locks Summer up from head to toe.

    Mary Celeste: <-4 EP>
    Summer: <Brn; Can’t move!>

Mary Celeste keeps the statuses coming. This time, she serves up a pulsating Confuse Ray which shakes up Summer’s mind more than a bit. She staggers forward, disoriented, but still successfully connects with a frigid fist of icy energy. A chill runs through Mary Celeste like a fissure, but the Ghost stays heated up and ready to fight.

    Mary Celeste: <-8 HP; -4 EP>
    Summer: <-6 EP; Con>

Displaying a rather confuddling bit of physics, Marry Celeste, who cannot be hit by Normal-type moves, successfully strikes Summer with one. A swift Headbutt knocks Summer onto her bottom, but she once again bypasses her Confusion to strike with a sizzling ThunderPunch. The air becomes saturated with the scent of battery acid as Mary Celeste suffers the hit.

    Mary Celeste: <-8 HP; -5 EP>
    Summer: <-7 HP; -6 EP>

The Toxin then reaches a new level for poor Summer <-7 HP> and the Burn makes its presence known <-3 HP>.

    ‡ Post-Round ‡

    Upcoming Field:

Grass Field: The Forest of Satarashi
This battle field is deep within the forest; it is strewn with tree roots, entangling vines, hollow trunks and the fruit of the nearby trees (Not all of them beneficial). The grass here is in varying heights from very long on the outsides and growing short in height as they reach the middle to be only an inch high.
    Attacks powered up: Grass
    Attacks weakened: Ground

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    ‡ Round 4 ‡

As we teleport to a forested region, Summer looks to be in dire straights. Though she’s only trailing by a hair (or, perhaps, five of them), she nonetheless finds herself on the receiving end of several unpleasant status conditions. Mary Celeste whips a swirling ball of green energy at Summer, further demonstrating the apparent need for Summer to take a long, hard Rest. However, though she tries, Summer can only manage to chew on her own wrist. Er. Okey-doke.

    Mary Celeste: <-6 EP>
    Summer: <-12 HP; -3 HP from Confusion; Can’t move!>

Cackling, Mary Celeste fires another happy Energy Ball at Summer. Summer growls; what with this Grass-boosting field and everything, those things really hurt! She tries again for a Rest and succeeds, letting sleep wash over her and ease her pains and sores.

    Mary Celeste: <-6 EP>
    Summer: <-12 HP; +40 HP; -26 EP; Cured>

Energy Ball number three comes whizzing toward Summer, who sleeps right through it. Suddenly, she hops to her feet and begins muttering in her sleep. Her body becomes coated with rock and she throws herself forward with one Stone Edge, dealing considering damage.

    Mary Celeste: <-10 HP; -6 EP>
    Summer: <-12 HP; -8 EP>

    ‡ Post-Round ‡

    Upcoming Field:

Dragon Field: Birthing grounds of the Sky Dragons
A series of pillars on top of a mountain several thousand metres above the ground. It is a very dangerous field because both fighters need to hop from one pillar to another to get to each other unless they can fly. If a pokemon falls off then they are rescued by a mysterious dragon but at the cost of 5HP.
    Attacks powered up: Dragon
    Attacks weakened: Steel

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    ‡ Round 5 ‡

The forest is soon gone as we find ourselves transported to some mysterious land high above the ground. Summer finds herself standing upon a precarious pillar while Mary Celeste, on the other hand, hovers calmly above one without any fear of falling. She releases a crackling sheet of electric current that electrocutes Summer just enough to re-induce that Paralysis that the little lizard managed to shrug off only last round. In response, Summer begins muttering in her sleep. She lets out a few choice Taunts that mostly come off sounding like babbles and snores. Nonetheless, they do the trick: Mary Celeste begins to shake with rage. Ghostie is maaad.

    Mary Celeste: <-4 EP; Tnt>
    Summer: <-4 EP; Par>

Mary Celeste transitions into a quick Thunderbolt, frying up Summer nicely. The Scraggy responds by Sleep Talking again. Fist raised to perform a Drain Punch, she marches forward… and falls right off the pillar. Fortunately, a kind dragon swoops in to save the day. Unfortunately, this comes at a bit of a cost for Summer health-wise.

    Mary Celeste: <-8 EP>
Summer: <-9 HP; -5 HP from stage hazard>

Suddenly, Summer wakes up. Yay! However, she quickly finds herself on the receiving end of another Thunderbolt. She tries to retaliate with a vicious Snarl, but her body just doesn’t want to cooperate. Paralysis gets the best of her and she’s rendered immobile.

    Mary Celeste: <-8 EP>
    Summer: <-9 HP; Can’t move!>

    ‡ Post-Round ‡

    Upcoming Field:

Dark Field: Bat Caves of Androzeni
A pitch black cave with next to no visibility what so ever, Dark type pokemon have no problem seeing in this cave. There is also a possibility that a swarm of bats will fly through the cave and possibly damage both pokemon with Dark type energy.
    Attacks powered up: Dark
    Attacks weakened: Psychic

    ‡ Round 6 ‡

As we find ourselves transported to the next location, Mary Celeste winds up in a bit of a bind. This pitch-black cave poses no visibility problems for Summer, but our dear, poor Mary can’t see a friggin’ thing. Nonetheless, the Mismagius decides to give attacking a go and fires off a blistering Thunderbolt, which collides with a stalagmite before fizzling out. Well, you tried, at least! In retaliation, Summer begins Snarling rather primitively, causing Mary Celeste to take some arena-boosted damage and suffer a hit to her Special Attack. Rude!

    Mary Celeste: <-14 HP; -8 EP; -1 SpA>
    Summer: <-4 EP>

Fortunately for Mary Celeste, that last Thunderbolt illuminated the cave just enough for her to get a fix on Summer’s location. As a result, she fires off another crackling electric discharge where she suspects Summer is still standing. Summer lets out a yelp as the current runs from her head to her toes. Suddenly, Paralysis kicks in and the Scraggy can do nothing but stand there.

    Mary Celeste: <-8 EP>
    Summer: <-8 HP; Can’t move!>

For the fifth time in succession, Mary Celeste goes for a Thunderbolt. However, Summer isn’t too keen on getting hit and merely vanishes, causing the attack to sizzle against the rocky floor uselessly. Mary Celeste peers around, knowing what’s about to—

Bam! With some Dark-type magic, Summer reappears behind Mary Celeste and lashes out at the specctre. At this point, all this ruckus has seriously started to piss off the locals. A swarm of bats descend from the ceiling and lashes out at Mary Celeste and Summer. Because of the typing at play here, Mary Celeste takes much, much more damage than her opponent.

Mary Celeste: <-14 HP; -12 HP from stage hazard; -8 EP>
Summer: <-2 HP from stage hazard; -4 EP>

    ‡ Post-Round ‡

    Upcoming Field:

Flying Field: Tree tops of the Satarashi forest
Now into the tree tops of the Satarashi forest the air is open and the breeze is gentle. Flying pokemon will have a big advantage here since there are no obstacles to get in their way and the air conditions are right for flying. The tops of the trees are sturdy enough for most pokemon to stand on them and can be easily hopped from one to the next like platforms.
    Attacks powered up: Flying
    Attacks weakened: Bug

    ‡ Round 7 ‡

Summer clings desperately to a large bough as our surroundings once again shift to the next location. Mary Celeste, shrewdly recognizing a lost cause, takes advantage of the fact that she is finally under Taunt's effects no more and generates an ominous, shadowy shape. Like a blanket, the shadow swishes across the gulf barring the two fighters and swaddles Summer tightly. Oblivious to the fact that their fates are now died, Summer vanishes on the spot. She reappears midair mere inches behind Mary Celeste and lashes out with a strong Dark-type attack. As she successfully KOs the Mismagius, her eyes go wide. The bond does what it was made to do.

With that, the two defeated fighters plummet like doomed comets to the ground below.

Mary Celeste: <-4 HP from fatigue; -8 HP>
    Summer: <-25 HP; -4 EP>

    ‡ Post-Round ‡

    Upcoming Field:

Fire Field: The Fire ridge of Orin
A deep red hot caldera on the top of a very active volcano. Several holes of boiling hot magma litter the battle field and will on occasion burst out possibly damaging the pokemon currently out. It also has a pesky habit of overflowing the magma beneath onto the battle field, the only areas on this field that are safe from this magma are a hardened wave of rock on the east and west side of the field. (Fire pokemon are not affected by the lava.)
    Attacks powered up: Fire
    Attacks weakened: Water

Hit him with a flurry of Fire Punches, if he tries to Sandstorm use Sunny Day.

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    ‡ Round 8 ‡

We quickly leave the forest behind and teleport to a fiery volcano. With Mary Celeste and Summer no longer in fighting shape, the battlers release new Pokemon onto the field: a mustachioed, spoon-wielding freak and a cactus that is also vaguely a scarecrow. Well, these two look lovely! Medivh proves his surprising brawn as he springs forward with a sudden flaming punch that roasts the Cacturne to no end. Stitches, however, has a trick up his sleeve: he exerts a strange dark influence over Medivh. Suddenly, the Alakazam’s spoons clatter to the ground as he finds himself unable to hold onto them any longer.

    Medivh: <-6 EP; Emb>
    Stitches: <-18 HP; -4 EP>

Medivh now tries for a second Fire Punch, but the weird energy makes it difficult for him to ball his hand up into a fist and the attack consequentially deals depleted damage. However, since it’s nice and hot here, he’s confident the numbing sensation will vanish soon enough. Stitches, meanwhile spews out a wee seed which attaches itself to Medivh’s forehead. This is never good.

    Medivh: <-6 EP; LSd>
    Stitches: <-6 HP; -4 EP>

Medivh’s third Fire Punch turns out very similar to the last one, but alas, there’s hope: the heat caused by the volcano and the Fire Punch itself causes the Embargo to end prematurely. Medivh picks up his spoons rom the ground and smirks. However, Stitches seems none too phased by this turn of events and merely strikes with a sudden Dark Pulse.

Suddenly, the molten rock begins to squirt into the air and spray these two battlers. Stitches scrunches up his face in a mixture of both anger and agony.

Medivh: <-14 HP; -8 HP from stage hazard; -6 EP>
Stitches: <-6 HP; -12 HP from stage hazard; -6 EP>

The Leech Seed begins draining Medivh’s health <-3 HP> while doing the exact opposite to Stitches <+3 HP>.

    ‡ Post-Round ‡

    Upcoming Field:

    Steel Field: Cliemen’s Steel Mill
A normal run of the “mill” steel mill. There are random machines going on and off beeping all the time running numerous tests. Huge steel beams swing over head held together by fragile cables which may break at any second. Other then that there a piles of steel beam lying on the ground which provide excellent cover and shields.
    Attacks powered up: Steel
    Attacks weakened: Poison

Lets make use of those substitutes again. Start off with a Taunt so he can't double Team then force him to switch out those substitutes with 2 Signal Beams.

    Taunt ~ Signal Beam x2

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    ‡ Round 9 ‡

Our surroundings change and it soon becomes apparent that Round 9 will take place in a mill with steel beams and supports aplenty. The fighters have no time to acclimate to their new location and instead launch into their attacks right away: Medivh tells Stitches that he looks like a pincushion made by a blind eighty-year old just as Stitches merely fires a Dark Pulse at his foe. While Medivh grunts as the attack strikes him in the gut, Stitches is sent into a blind rage that overrides his trainer’s ordered commands. Hrm, methinks we’ve seen this before…

    Medivh: <-14 HP; -4 EP>
    Stitches: <-6 EP; Tnt>

Pointing his spoons at Stitches, Medivh quickly fires off twin pulsating beams of crimson and green. The Signal Beam does a crippling amount of damage to Stitches who suffers a double weakness to the move. Stitches tries to create an armada of Cacturne clones to help him thwart this nasty Alakazam, but can’t seem to concentrate as memories of that nasty Taunt surface.

    Medivh: <-6 EP>
    Stitches: <-16 HP>

Medivh repeats his tactic as he ravages Stitches with a second Signal Beam, causing Stitches to once again resort to his alternate commands. However, since these moves can’t be performed what with the memories of the Taunt still ringing away in Stitches’s head, he merely stands there and sulks. Ahh, I think I’m getting nostalgic for Round 1!

    Medivh: <-6 EP>
    Stitches: <-16 HP>

Fortunately, at least Stitches gets to watch as Medivh is sapped of health <-3 HP>. The Cacturne clones his eyes and embraces the reward of this transaction <+3 HP>.

    ‡ Post-Round ‡

    Upcoming Field:

    Ghost Field: Ghost ship
An eerie broken up ghost ship docked in an old harbour, there a numerous holes in the sides of the ship to due old age and wood rot. The sail are tattered and as you go into the bowels of the ship there are several plants growing on the sides of the walls and possibly a random ghost pokemon floating through. The floors of the decks are very brittle and might break if stepped on too hard.
    Attacks powered up: Ghost
    Attacks weakened: Normal

Ok, I officially hate Taunts. Stitches, you did a good job, but it's time to end this.

Stitches, use Faint Attack and turn invisible to dodge the first Signal Beam, but don't attack! Try to avoid drawing Medivh's attention, along with taking care not to step on the floor too hard. On your remaining actions, turn back to normal and allow yourself to be attacked, while trying to establish a Destiny Bond.

    (Faint Attack---Destiny Bond---Destiny Bond)

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    ‡ Round 10 ‡

As the next round begins, we find ourselves aboard a perilous ghost ship replete with many lurking phantoms and creaking floorboards. However, our two fighters are much too brave to be fazed by these circumstances and instead launch right into their attacks. Medivh cuts loose with another powerful Signal Beam, and Stitches, fuelled by rage, does not want to get hit by that. As a result, he vanishes on the spot and the Signal Beam merely blazes out into the dark ocean. Stitches reappears and tries to follow his trainer’s orders not to attack, but the Taunt makes pacifism a little difficult at a time like this. Try as he may, he simply can’t help it and swats Medivh with Dark-type energy.

    Medivh: <-9 HP; -6 EP>
    Stitches: <-4 EP>

Doing a quick about-face, Medivh unleashes another strong dual beam at Stitches. This one hits with success and throws the large cactus into the mast. The floorboards beneath him groan under his way, but they don’t give way. However, as Stitches peers out at his dark surroundings, his world suddenly appears to have gone a little topsy-turvy. Without warning, he begins swatting himself in the face, lowering his health levels even further. What a rotten time for Confusion to settle in!

    Medivh: <-6 EP>
Stitches: <-16 HP; -3 HP from Confusion; Con>

Medivh begins firing up one last Signal Beam as Stitches, a little addled in the brain, peers at his foe. He does his best to battle past his status and bring his foe down with a Destiny Bond, but the Confusion makes it an uphill fight. As the blinding Signal Beam shoots across the arena, it’s immediately unclear whether or not Stitches is successful in his attempt. When the light at last dissipates, the outcome of the round becomes apparent.

Medivh and Stitches each lie in their separate spots on the deck of the ship, slumped over in defeat.

    Medivh: <-49 HP; -6 EP>
    Stitches: <-13 HP; -8 EP>

    ‡ Post-Round ‡

    Upcoming Field:

Electric Field: Thunder Fields of Adorna
A field of blackened soil and charred earth, the fields of Adorana are always constantly under siege by a never ending thunderstorm of a dangerous class. Gale force winds make it nigh impossible to fly and constant thunder strikes batter the ground without relent. (Electric Pokemon are immune to the Lightning)
    Attacks powered up: Electric
    Attacks weakened: Flying

Let fly a Taunt, then go for a double dose of Thunderpunches. If he tries to use Psychic type attacks, swap a single Thunderpunch with a Double Team. (Only do this once, don't try to do it again if he uses another Psychic attack.)

Ok since according to Bulbapedia, Psypoke and Serebii Meinshao can't use Thunderpunch. Let's get in there with some massive damage. Take the Taunt and use Psychic then while she is just sitting there fire 2 Shadow Balls at her.

    Psychic ~ Shadow Ball x2
