BATTLE IN THE STREETS
GIGYA v. EMERALD
3 on 3
Arena
The Streets
Not many fight in the streets. But when they do, it can be rough.
Every round, there is a 1 in 20 chance for a car to appear. When it does, the battlers have some choices. The following turn, if they are not returned to their poke ball, the pokemon will be hit (returning for this will not count towards the faint penalty). This will cause 25 damage to the pokemon hit, and has a 10% chance to cause flinching. Cars can also be used as weapons, but this may have future penalties, up to the ref's discretion. Tall buildings are tall enough to use them as height advantage. This can also be used to increase the power of attacks that require high velocity or gravity.
Round ONE
We welcome ourselves to the dangerous streets of Manhattan -- a fierce battlezone that somehow has no bumper-to-bumper traffic at the present. Gigya has challenged Emerald to a three-for-all battle, electing to summon his first pokemon first: Marisa, the mudkip. Emerald smirks, and releases his own generation 3 pokemon, a zigzagoon named Reeses, in response. The commands are called out, and the battle starts!
Being the speedier of the two, Reeses begins the battle by spraying Marissa with a cloud of dirt that really messes with her eyes. Marisa squeals as her accuracy dwindles, but keeps the battle going by... digging at the road? How does that work? It looks like she's trying to burrow... but the black pavement is too thick for her tiny paws to dig through. That's unfortunate.
Marisa - -1 Acc // -3PP - Reeses
As Marisa continues to helplessly (yet furiously) dig into the streets, Reeses sprays another puff of sand into her eyes. Oi vey. Poor Marisa...
Marisa - -1 Acc // -3PP - Reeses
Reeses finally stops with the sand-nanigans, and instead elects to lower her opponent's defenses with a weak tail bobbing. The tickling sensation puts Marisa out of ease, and she figures to hell with everything, and launches a sudden burst of water at her foe, drowning the tiny zigzagoon nearly.
Marisa - -1 Def, -9PP // -12HP, -3PP - Reeses
Ref Notes:
~No cars approaching.~
~Gigya attacks first.~

Round TWO
After a lengthy delay, the battlers are ready for their second round of attacks. Reeses continues to not cause any direct harm by summoning a flash of lightning from the sky, and the stormclouds overhead suddenly unleash their rain. Marisa marvels at it, Reeses having just did her a favor. She tries not to worry though as the rainwater washes out her eyes, and she fires off a scalding hot blast of water that seers the pup.
Marisa - +2 Acc, -5PP // -12HP, Rain Dance activated, -7PP - Reeses
Rain Dance - 9 actions
As the calm waters continue to trickle down, Reeses puts act two of his plan into motion, and summons a powerful strike of electricity that powerful sinks into Marisa. The lightning strike is intense, but Marisa managed to brace herself enough, and retaliates with a shrillish shriek. Atta... girl?
Marisa - -18HP, -2PP // -4HP, -10PP - Reeses
Rain Dance - 8 actions
Reeses makes like a sorcerer by summoning another powerful thunderbolt from the sky. It continues to rattle Marisa, but she relents and strikes back with an intensified shriek.
Marisa - -14HP, -4PP // -8HP, -7PP - Reeses
Rain Dance - 7 actions
Ref Notes:
~No cars approaching.~
~While Rain Dance is active, all water-type attacks will deal 50% more damage, while all fire-type attacks will deal 50% less; weather-based healing moves will be 50% less effective.~

Round THREE
Marisa begins the round first this time, by pissing out a series of insults and taunts that seem very questionable. Reeses, having planned on attacking throughout the round anyway, angrily retorts with a blast of lightning, making Marisa regret her decision immediately.
Marisa - -2PP, -18HP // Taunted, -10PP - Reeses
Rain Dance - 6 actions
Marisa cries out once more as Reeses continues to lay down the electric hammer. No paralysis yet though; once the charged mudfish shakes off her distress, she fires back with a sweeping kick that knocks Reeses off her feet.
Marisa - -18HP, -4PP // -8HP, -10PP - Reeses
Rain Dance - 5 actions
Another few seconds pass, and Marisa becomes tormented by the electric rain. Her body remains charged up as she retaliates with a massive superpower that throws Reeses into a building. Ouch.
Marisa - -14HP*, @Torrent activated -8PP, -1 Atk, -1 Def // -18HP, -10PP - Reeses
Rain Dance - 4 actions
Ref Notes:
~No cars approaching.~
~Marisa hit the damage cap.~

Round FOUR
Sensing a rapid departure from the battle, Marisa spits out a squicky puddle of poisons sure to mess up Reeses' day. However, the normal-type pokémon is ready for the attack, and protects herself with a nice barrier.
Marisa - -5PP // -7PP - Reeses
Rain Dance - 3 actions
Annoyed, frustrated, and perplexed, Marisa goes in for one last superpower... that ultimately isn't fast enough against Reeses' high voltage.
Marisa - -18HP, KOed // -10PP - Reeses
Rain Dance - 2 actions
