So I went to a local shop today and picked up the latest Bleach, book number 54.

I opened it, and unintentionally saw one of the last pages. Referring to the next book, it said:

最終章
The final composition

So it's finally coming to an end. Any hindsights?

You're a little late with that news. The final arc has been going on for about a year now, maybe two. EDIT: Even though I've been reading scanlations as they come in from Japan...

I say good riddance. Kubo's been saving his most ridiculous asspulls for this arc.

Aa, Tite Kubo. There's no denying that it doesn't taste good when a neverending anime/manga goes on and on. Unless you really have a strong emotional bond with the concept which makes you keep loving it.

While I admit some aspects of the final story arc have been pretty ridiculous, we've at least also learned some pretty MAJOR story events as well. I do hope we finally get to see some tricks that some of our favorite captains and ex-captains have been hiding all these years (and maybe some others have learned some new tricks too, would be nice if Rukia has Bankai by the end of the series).

Ah, I bought the 55th volume the day before yesterday. I thought it was the final volume...

...but it wasn't!!

I'm actually kind of invested in this arc tbh, it harkens back to the early days of the manga... somewhat.

Bleach has all the while been overrated. It is high time the author ends this story ever since the manga drop out from the holy trinity of the Shounen Jump. It has been the same plot for the last three arc. Nothing new and Ichigo was getting too powerful over time. We already have Goku for that, don't need another cheap replacement.

Well, this is the last story arc for Bleach (and it ain't the only one of the "trinity" about to call it a run, Naruto's about done too). And it does seem that Ichigo has an excuse for how crazy powerful he is. Still, Ichigo's not the only one showing off in this arc. There's been a couple of fun surprises here and there.

But the true story is that only One Piece out of the trinity that is worth reading these days. A lot of manga readers are just merely reading Bleach just for the sake of completing the story.
