    Default 2v2 strategies discussion

well i think its about time to move on, traditional battling was fun for about the first 478364500 times, and ill be looking in to some of the better strategies of two on two, or speculate endlessly blaghhhhh
i would rather do contests, but it is a COMPLETELY different system, at least with two vs two we have some basis

reflect and light screen will cover both you and your ally for five turns. Imagine having two openers who have a water weakness (solrock and lunatone), use sunny day+lightscreen

since light screen andor reflect looks like it will be real popular in two versus two, i suppose this is why their is the brick break tm, thank god

skill swap will be a pain in the patella

hmm, does perish song affect everyone on the field? and further more what would a wobbuffets shadow tag do in 2v2? does it trap everyone?

leech seed is assigned to send its hp drain to whatever side of the field cast it. So for instance, ludicolo uses leech seed on both opponents it will receive leech seed+leech seed every turn. If ludicolo gets switched out, leech seed will continuously go to that side of the field for whoever fills it

shell bell was made for two versus two, battling, since some attacks hit multiple opponents

i seriously think magic coat will be popular, since it reflects a strategy (leech seed, secondary effects of attacks) that involves immobilizing a pokemon by the opponent using two status inflicting moves on the same pokemon (thunderwave, confuseray, attract, etc...)

    more suggestions?
    thoughts?

yes i believe shadow tags makes it impossible for anyone to switch out, until wobbuffet switches or died

hmmm.. its cooler to battle just 2v2 with 2 pokemon not with a whole team... like its more of a challenge.. u just have to choose 2 pokemon... the perfect duo... thats the point on 2v2... i dont like the idea of using 6 pkmn for 2v2 battles...

the great stikachu had a good 2v2 team... sumting with ludicolo and lanturn... i dont remember really well but it was sumthing with raindance + ludicolo's trait and thundering lanturn..

Just a word of advice: In 2 v 2 don't use earthquake. It will damage both of your opponents pokemon and your other pokemon.

umm actually there are plenty of situations where you could use earthquake or explosion for that matter
use flyers or moves like dive and protect

Unless you've got Levitate or a flyer... Anyone know who Gardevoir traces? Is it random or just the opposite Pokemon? It's a fun trait to have...

Well my strategy is Plusle, Minun, the Minun with a attack down special attack up, with Plusle being defence and attack down. Set up a subsitute with both, make plusle use helping hand, alot, have Minun charge then thunder in Plusle Raindance. It is a really good long term combo, but the chance of that happening is like 1 to three, for me so far.
If something is wrong, please say so.
