Default 5 on 5 test of your battling skills - RL v. Grey - Ref: Perfect Chaos

    5 on 5, but...
It's five individual battles of 1 on 1. The winner of each 1 on 1 gets a point, and the person with the most points at the end wins.

    But wait, there's more.
Each match will be type specific. For example:
1st Round Water. 2nd round Grass, 3rd Round Dark.. etc It's up to the ref to choose which type each round will be represented by.

You are only allowed to use a pokemon that shares the type of the match. Dual-types are encouraged, as they will create more weaknesses that the enemy has to avoid.

Secondly, you cannot use super effective moves. So during the Water match, you cannot use any attack that is electric or grass (this includes non-damaging or status moves). Likewise for all the other matches.

Thirdly, you cannot use any move that only cause a status affliction. So no moves that only cause sleep, or paralysis etc. Moves that cause status as a secondary effect (like Body Slam or Poison Jab) do not count.

Lastly, you cannot make any move substitutions. You pick your three attacks, you cannot choose anything else.

    Super lastly, no Shedinja.

    So:

    No substitutions
    No status effects
    No super effective moves
Five individual 1 on 1 matches
Pokemon used must share a type with the type chosen for each round.
    Ref chooses the type used
    Standard Indigo Arena.

I'll need a ref to decide on a first type before any battlers can choose a pokemon. Ref also chooses who calls first.

    I'm in!

[Edit] You also might wanna make a Shedinja clause too, since we can't rely on weaknesses...

This sounds super interesting, plus I feel the need to ref some more battles. So I'm in!

So, I get to choose the types to be used first...to the Randomizer!

Number will be selected randomly between 0-16, each number representing a type based on the Hidden Power scale (since Normal is not considered a Hidden Power type, it will be used as 16).

And the number that appears first is...3!

First type to be sent out is Ground

Coin Flip to determine who goes first! Best 2 out of 3, RL is Heads, Grey is Tails

    Flip 1....Heads!
    Flip 2....Tails!
    Flip 3....Tails!

Grey to send out first, RL to attack first!

EDIT: I just noticed I used a bunch of exclamation marks in this post...and I'm feeling sleep-deprived at the moment
EDIT2: Forgot to include Normal as a type since I was following the Hidden Power scale for Types. It's been included and RNG has been accounted for again and new type has been assigned.

You know there's 17 types not 15 right?

Steel typing doesn't give you a lot of options, Zord, but here we go:

Start out with Ice Punch, then use two Grass Knots immediately after!

    -=- Round 1 -=-

Welcome one and all to a super-sized match today! And I don't mean that McDonald's is giving out a buy-one-get-one-free deal on Big Macs! *hides away his lunch* Today we bring you a bout between two seasoned Veterans: RaZor_LeAf vs. Greyfox! Greyfox looks on intensely as epic theme music begins playing out of nowhere and he releases his first Pokémon, a huge, intricately-colored Golurk! As I continue to tap my feet to the beat, RaZor_LeAf smirks confidently as he releases his own Pokémon and in a flash of light, a titanic, gold-colored iron snake emerges, her fangs bared at her opponent. Wow, looks like a super-sized match was the right call indeed!

Megazord, amazingly being the speedier of the two goliath Pokémon, starts off the battle by charging forward and slamming his fist charged with icy energy into Titanium! Titanium brushes off the attack by quickly slamming her tail down into the ground repeatedly, releasing massive tremors that rock Megazord and send him off his feet!

    : -10% health, -6% energy
    : -13% health, -5% energy

Megazord manages to pick himself up from the ground and and his eyes begin to glow a sudden green color. Suddenly, two blades of grass spurt out and latch onto the Iron Snake Pokemon and pull her down hard into the ground! Titanium is fuming that two measly blades of grass could bring her down so easily and begins to spin her tail around furiously, as a large whirlwind of energy is released forth and sent straight into Megazord, who teeters around a bit, but manages to mantain his balance

    : -13% health, -4% energy
    : -5% health, -7% energy

Megazord saw that the grass seemed pretty effective in dealing with Titanium and thus, decided it should try it once more! As his eyes grow green with nature energy, he commands his minions the blades of grass suddenly grow in size and rush forward at Titanium, slapping at her and binding her down. Titanium roars in frustration at the sentient grass and powers up a ball of silver-colored energy and releases it as a beam that rushes forward and scores a direct hit against Megazord. I think he'll be seeing stars after that sizable hit!

    -=- Round 2 -=-

We're back for the next portion of our clash of the colossi! The titanic-like Pokemon get set for another round of huge blows as Round 2 gets underway!

Megazord slams his hands together as his body tenses up, his defense increasing. Gotta learn to relax a little big guy! Titanium, not liking the look of Megazord's intense concentration, begins trying to impersonate an opera singer FFFFIIIIIIGGGGARRRRROOOOOO! The ear-splitting noise manages to disturb Megazord's concentration, thus lowering his defenses to back to normal! So much for the stat boosts

    : -0% health, -5% energy
    : -0% health, -5% energy
    (+2 Def., -2 Def.)

Megazord shakes off the horrible opera singing from before, and charges forward at Titanium, clobbering her with a fist glowing with icy energy. Titanium retaliates from the chilled punch by trying to slam her whole iron body ontop of Megazord but when you're both roughly almost the same size, you can't expect to do much damage from it

    : -10% health, -6% energy
    : -6% health, -7% energy

Megazord suddenly remembers the shenanigans the plants were playing on Titanium earlier and, with glowing green eyes, manages to summon forth two more shoots of grass from the ground who again slap and bind down Titanium once again...with feeling this time! Titaniu, wanting to share the pain of being held down by measly wimpy grass, breathes forth a stream of teal-colored draconic breath energy that scores a direct hit on Megazord and it seems that the breath attack has fried circuits for a bit.

Let's get back to our mega-sized mayhem as the battle goes on!

Titanium takes advantage of Megazord's restricted movements and slams his tail into the ground! The sudden tremor jolts Megazord off his feet and he goes down hard, lowering his already restricted movements even more so than before! Megazord tries to retaliate but he feels his gears limbs lock up and he can't answer back! Where's the WD-40 when you need it?!

Titanium looks to continue her barrage of attacks by again charging up a ball of silver energy and unleashing out at Megazord, smacking straight into him for sizeable amount of damage! Looks Megazord is back in action as he again calls forth his grass buddies to come forth and wreck on Titanium! I guess even Pokemon have hay fever allergies as well

    : -13% health, -6% energy
    : -11% health, -6% energy

The iron snake continues to lay down the beating, this time by slamming her tail charged with a tealish-blue energy into Megazord who again stumbles back, when his limbs fall asleep on him again, causing him to fail to counter attack back the evil grinning Steelix

Our giant-sized battle that would make Godzilla vs. King Kong look like a pillow fight is now back in full swing!

Titanium starts things off by rushing toward Megazord, her head glowing with silvery-white energy as she proceeds to headbutt him straight in the pilot area! Ooh, looks like Megazord really took a solid hit since the recoil left him unable to answer back!

    : -13% health, -5% energy
    : -7% health, -7% energy

Titanium is seriously getting pissed off at the barrage of attacks done by the grass and decides to end their existence as well as Megazord's by slamming a brightly glowing tail into the ginormous ghost golem. Megazord crashes into the ground hard and slowly picks itself up. On the verge of collapse, it rushes forward and slams a fist powered by icy energy into Titanium's jawline. So much for having a cast-iron jaw.

Since it's a brand new battle starting now, I'll call first, and then grey can attack. In reversal of how the Ground battle started.

And I want to get some experience for Lockheed, so I'll send him out. Gabite (m) Rough Skin.

Then in that case, I change Shadow Claw for Metal Claw. Sine I was basing my attacks off a different pokemon.

    -=- Round 6 -=-

With Greyfox still smarming about his loss from the first match, we get set for our next battle! RL recalls back Titanium and sends out a sinister land shark that seems like a fish out of water! Greyfox considers his choice and eventually sends out a fierce-looking triple-headed dragon of his own! The three heads seems to be bickering over who is the brightest of the bunch, but if you're being used as hands most of the time, doesn't take much to guess the brains behind the bunch

Schwarzen starts the round off by powering a large ball of silver energy and releases it forth as a beam of light energy at Lockheed, striking him clear on his shark-like head. Lockheed, seeing stars, manages to shake off the effect and starts glowing a light blue color as shards of rock begin to rise up from the ground and launch themselves at Schwarzen, cutting him down in size!

Schwarzen, cursing at its heads for not shooting off a more powerful blast, now tries to make up for it by powering up a large blue Spirit Bomb ball of Chi energy and launches it at Lockheed, scoring a direct hit and sending the land shark sprawling to the ground. Lockheed quickly jumps up and charges forward at Schwarzen, slashing him with an iron-enclosed claw of white energy, that leaves a sizeable scratch on the tri-headed dragon's torso!

    : -5% health, -8% energy

Schwarzen is slightly whimpering at the amount of cuts his body's getting and shoots out a blast of rainbow-colored energy at Lockheed. The stars from before and the bright lights must've gotten the better of the devil shark as he looks like he's gone completely loony now! The land shark is so out of it, the only thing he seems to be able to do and is repeatedly slam his horned head into the ground! Ooo, that's gotta hurt!

    -=- Round 7 -=-

The battle between two renowned ASB veterans continue as we get Round 7 underway!

Schwarzen starts the round off by powering a large ball of whitish energy which slowly floats in front of him before changing into a full-fledge glass wall! Lockheed, gives a dopey look at Schwarzen before launching himself forward and slamming into the glass wall! Looks like he's still out of his mind!

    : -0% health, -4% energy

Chuckling to itself (or are the three heads laughing together?), Schwarzen prepares himself and charges forward and smacks into Lockheed, albeit weakly, doing little damage to the landshark, but getting nipped up a bit from Lockheed's Rough Skin. Apparently, you gotta have something done to you to be able to retaliate. Hitting his head against the glass wall must've knocked a little sense into Lockheed as he focuses his power and two rings of glowing light blue rocks appear and spin around its body releasing multiple gray rocks that cut Schwarzen down to size, although still a bit reduced from his protective barrier

    : -7% health, -9% energy
    : -7% health, -6% energy

Schwarzen flustered by the sharp stones that attacked, snarls loudly and rushes forward, chomping down on Lockheed's head even though his Rough Skin makes Schwarzen wanna gag. The sudden pain, along with a three-headed dragon biting down on his fin manages to shake off any confusion Lockheed had before as he roars in anger and swipes at Schwarzen with a glowing, iron-clad claw that manages to just slightly graze Schwarzen.

    -=- Round 8 -=-

And after a brief intermission, we're back to you from this heavyweight bout! Let's get mosey with Round 8!

Schwarzen's looking mighty hungry as he smacks his lips (oddly enough, his "hands" do the same) and charges forward, all three heads chomping down hard on Lockheed! Schwarzen manages to spit Lockheed up, looks like he couldn't handle his rough skin! Lockheed howls in pain as it seems like Schwarzen bit off more than he could handle and summons up some glowing, sharpened rocks who get sent forth, but do pitiful damage as they smack against the tri-headed drake's barrier.

    : -11% health, -9% energy
    (-1 Def.)
    : -8% health, - -5% energy

Not much to report as the two fearsome drakes continue their assault on each other by biting and throwing stones respectively. Lockheed seems to have taken a bit more damage from the previous assault.

    : -13% health, -9% energy
    : -8% health, -5% energy

The drakes look a bit wearied out from all the fighting a bit, but they both look like they're gonna go for a big finish for this round!...and nope, they're back to chomping and throwing stones. Lockheed seems to have found a weak point in Schwarzen's defense as that last stone seemed to have nailed him pretty hard. But, seriously, enough with this kindergarten crap!

The end approaches to this dramatic, draconic display of deftness as the two Dragons look to make their final stand in this battle!

Schwarzen roars fiercely as he rushes forward to take another chomp out of a Gabite sandwich. Lockheed roars back in defiance as he summons up some more glowing, sharpened rocks and send them shooting at Schwarzen. The rocks manage to penetrate the barrier but still manage to do weak damage as Schwarzen powers through the barrage and bites down hard onto Lockheed's neck despite the rough skin, causing the land shark to cry out shrilly before going down for the count. Schwarzen roars triumphantly over his fallen opponent as Greyfox takes the second battle!
