15 Years, too!

Today marks 15 years since I joined these forums on November 22, 2000. I was 11 years old with an obsession for the second generation, and would steal photos from this website to make fake Pokemon cards.

Now I am 26. 58% of my life has been spent on this forum.

Awww shazza has it really been 15 years. To think you were just 11 years old and not even in high school when you joined and now you're 26. Where do the years go. It doesn't seem that long ago that a young shazza was making his first posts on the forums. I think I may have been Flying Destiny or one of those incarnations at the time. I too remember you on the irc chat. Those were fun times. Before I knew it you were in high school and then university. Do you go on irc anymore or are those days over???

Yes, you were Flying Destiny. And my whole world was transformed when I realised you were also the AOp, firepokemon, from the chats. Did I write that in the history (I haven't read it all yet)? Okay, I did! Maybe my memory isn't as damaged as I fear.

Somewhat, yes. TPM has always been an effortless outlet of creativity throughout the years. Especially between 2003-2006, before Mt. Moon became a more accepted outlet, this was often malicious humor that was understandably not shared between everybody. I have always felt particularly comfortable here, however, when in earlier years I was isolated. TPM is a cool social experiment in terms of recording growth and interaction of people that, I'd argue, even social media hasn't been able to examine to the same degree.

I know I am really late but congrats on your 15 years too shazza! Funny to think that we have spent so much of our lives here at TPM!! Sometimes it just seems like yesterday though!!
