It makes me wish I had friends... also friends with GBA's.
*sigh*
The release day is less than two weeks away, and I'm pre-ordering tomorrow (for those not in know, you get a free GC-GBA link cable when you do).
Who else is getting this game? I think it's high-time we had a spiritual sucessor to multiple player RPGs like Secret of Mana.
I have 3 friends.
With 3 GBAs.
And 2 link cables between us.(soon to be 3 with my own)
And a reserved copy(Didn't get my free cable yet).
I win the thread.
Lucky. I may have friends with GBAs and cables on campus if I ask around. I know that some of my family member own GBAs. They're just not gamers. My cousins think playing Spongebob Squarepants on the GBA is fun! *shudders*Originally posted by The Muffin Man

Anyway, I won't have to worry about playing by myself. I heard on the official site that the Moogle that follows you around in single mode can carry the bucket and cast spells.

The tiebreaking will be who has the most SPs.
I've got 3 SP's(me, my younger brother, and youngest sister all have one). And I have a normal GBA.
CHOMP~
I really don't have anyone to lay it with, so I doubt I'll be getting it... the single-player mode is only supossed to be average at best.

You're all idiots. Fighting about who has the most GBA SP's or who has the most friends with SP's.
God If you wanna do something pathetic like that then i'd win it since I go to a regular YGO tourniment where I know HUNDREDS of people and nearlly all of them have an SP.
No doubt the Uk gets nothing free as always, then again chances are we won't see the game for another 2 months.
It's...uh, a joke. The only one serious here is you.Originally posted by YAMI YUGI™

The game is out this Tuesday. I have a class on Tuesdays, so I'll be picking it up and playing it all day.
I can't wait.

Besides. I have all the SPs and cables I need. Pssh.
I think it's an utter shame that the game is getting lower ratings just because it requires four GBAs. I'll have to see for myself this Tuesday, but I think people are shaving off points just because of the requirements.
I think people are shaving off points because it's different.
It's not the classic "OMG HIT WAIT HIT" type deal, and the characters aren't recognizable(how FFX-2 got away with the more active battle system I suppose, and new system0 so people are being really anal about any minor flaw it may have.
Just spent all day playing it (a few hours three player, but the vast majority with only one other guy) and it's fun as hell.
At first you get nervous because dungeons are very short and easy and one drop of the Myrrh tree fills like 1/3 of your bucket (thus 1 year in the game is three dungeons).
But around year 3 or 4 the difficulty and length of dungeons seriously picks up.
The game seems more easy to manage with two people, but the chaotic fun of four player is tempting. My friend had tests to study for, so I may not get that until this weekend. It's still highly reccomended, as long as you have at least one person who can reguarly come over and play it with you.
More info later. This game also seems to cause a lot of confusion, so I'll answer any questions people might have about it.
Me, my brother, and my friend all played the game for the first two years of it. I only wish my friend was smart enough to read a map. I like the bonus system, it's a nice change of pace compared to the traditional leveling up. I'm gonna try out single player tonight to see if thats any good.
CHOMP~
Single player can't a hold a candle to the mayhem of multiplayer. My friends and I are having a blast just repeating dungeons for phat lewt. We've played for 15 hours and our on our 7th or 8th year now.
Great suff, but strictly a social affair.
