UT2K4 Demo Out

I don't like yearly "updates" for video games (like sports games and nearly every Capcom franchise) but this adds enough new stuff to make it more than a slight update.

I think it'll basically be a pretty Halo, but the demo will make up my mind.

It's killing me inside that I cannot download the demo to it as my computer is a piece of crap. But I love the Unreal series. I have only bought Unreal Championship on xbox, but it is one of the funnest games I have ever come to own. I really hope Unreal Tournament's gameplay and new features make its way to the Xbox or I'll have to wait until I get a new Pc (or my dad lets me on his, which will never happen)

Wow, I didn't expect to see this kind of topic here!

Anyhoo, I got the "UT2004" Demo last night, and it's really cool. 8) My Dad likes it alot, too...we'll play it some more tonight when he gets home.

I loved "Unreal Tournament" and "Unreal Tournament 2003", and I can't wait for the full version of "Unreal Tournament 2004".

P.S. - I am a guest at the Atari Forums, and I've seen someone named "Raz" there occassionaly...is that you?

Negative. I'm not a big fan of Unreal, but this was a somewhat big release (along with Feb. be a slow month) so I thought it was worth bringing up.

Played one game with bots last night. Was a map without vehicles, so it felt a lot like a pretty UT2K3.

I haven't had a chance to play the demo yet, but it should be good. Hopefully I might be able to set up a dedicated server for TPM somewhere...

Yeah I thought it was a semi-rip of Halo also. But I love it, it's UT plus vehicles and some new weapon graphics++.

Are we saying Halo isn't pretty? I mean, the character models aren't up to much anymore but some of that scenery is still up at the top.

It's a game pushing on three years. Scenery is bland to me, but it had nice use of bump-mapping.

Of course this may be due to the Halo 2 trailers I've seen. Now that is dynamite.
