Default No live action DBZ movie but an Agatha Christie anime?!

If you check the latest news on www.animenewsnetwork.com you shall notice that there is no live action DBZ movie, but that someone is planning to make a 39-episode series based on Agatha Christie thrillers. That could be interesting. Aside from Shingetsutan Tsukihime and Demon Detective Loki Ragnarok, I haven't seen a decent detective/investagtive thriller yet. (And please don't mention Detective Conan, I will NOT be convinced into supporting it)

Hey, I don't praise 'everything' GONZO makes. I don't know what to think about what I've read of Samurai Chaploo. However, Bakuretsu Tenshi by them looks quite appealing.

ANOTHER Saiyuki series?! One word: WHY?!

I don't know whether there's a site for Samurai 7 yet. It's supposed to be released in the fall.

I'm not liking the look of 2004 anime. I really hope some good ones break through soon.

And is there really a need for a sequel to Stellvia?! Man, 26 eps was enough. If they intentionally left some big plot holes up in the air, they should've been resolved in the original series. The original series was okay, but I'd like to know if the sequel is worth it and/or necessary.

EDIT: PS> Is it jsut me, or is nearly every anime production resorting to excessive fanservice and sequels to save them this year?! Argh! If they wanna make sequels of something, do these as well:

    1. Shingetsutan Tsukihime - The manga went a lot further. This series is good enough for another seris and has enough potential storyline to do so.
    2. Full Metal Panic/Full Metal Panic? (Fumoffu) - They still leave the Sousuke-Chidori thing in the air. I just feel something else is waiting in the wings. Even if only 3-5 eps, just do it!

And that's all. I can't think of anything else that deserves or would benefit from a sequel.

    Personally...

-I'd avoid Bakuretsu Tenshi at all costs.

-Yes, a lot of things are basing on fanservice now. Many companies have realised the power of the horny young adult... but some are totally going over the top

-Sequels: maybe due to popularity or something. They're usually okay... maybe the particular series you want sequels of weren't popular enough... personally I'm OVERJOYED there's a Mari-mite sequel...

-If anything, I WANT a Princess Tutu sequel, though it's beautiful left on its own as well. Very open for your own imagination... and leaves it with a very unique touch,

    -I might check out Champloo.

-I will check out Melody of Oblivion and This Ugly and Beautiful World, and Le Portrait de Petit Cossette... and Mai-hime and the Agatha Christie stuff

-Phoenix would be nice, if it's subbed I"ll take a look at it.

-Koikaze seems to have bad hints towards a relationship between a 28 year old person and a 15 year old girl. I'm not very fond of these...skip

-Kyou Kara Maou... will see it if it's subbed, but not actively looking out for it.

-Midori no Hibi... if there are lots of very good recommendations I'll see. It's apparently a bit KGNE-ish... and I don't really want another KGNE.

-not interested in Sensei no o-Jikan or in AMDRIVER.

A little more info on Samurai 7: I have the trailer (got it from a nice acquaintance) - the only Japanese is some text which is basically saying the credits, no textual info or verbal info... but the biggest thing is...

I want to kill Gonzo... and you will too...

...if you find out they ****ing put mechas in Akira Kurosawa's Samurai 7.

    WHAT?!

Oh, ffs! GONZO, why on Earth did you do that?!

Geez, I've not the biggest ninja/samurai fan ever, but I hate mechas even more! Oh, damn it!

I am losing faith in 2004 BIG TIME! Oh, I need Paranoia Agent and Diamond Dust Drops soon!

Geez, if I hadn't watched FLCL (Fooly Cooly) for the first time today and the whole way through, I'd be really ticked right now. But fortunately, nothing can destroy my good mood thanks to FLCL!

What I heard was that they were simply delaying the DBZ movie for a little while, like a year or so.
