    Default A Mudkip Mission

Usually, I don't laugh much at the episodes but I thought it was hilarious when Ash was making fun of Swampy in the beginning. Also, seeing the baby Mudkip "hatch" from its egg was very cute and the episode all around was plain good, although it seemed to me Brock's Mudkip looked to be on the pudgy side

Heh, the one main thing that caught me about this episode was May pretending to be a journalist, and actually making USE of Silcoon.
I kinda predicted the man's name would be something with 'Swamp' or 'Marsh', since his Japanese name was 'Numata' and 'Numa' means that.
And... I believe this is the first time we've seen Cacnea's Needle Arm!
So far the R/S attacks seen are:
    Blaze Kick (Blaziken)
    Poison Tail (Seviper)
    Rock Tomb (Nosepass)
    Water Pulse (Crawdaunt)
    Arm Thrust (Hariyama)
    Knock Off (Hariyama).

Oh, and another regular Pokemon-ified English expression... "Yeah, when Piloswine fly". This one made some sense compared to the past ones... "How could we quit when we're having such a BLASTOISE." Bad images there. "I'm so hungry I could eat a HORSEA." Wow, I'm so hungry I can eat seafood! I guess you must be too full to eat something more appetizing like a Ponyta or Rapidash.

So anyways... I give this one a 7/10. Amusing, but a little bit of an unoriginal plot. The only originality this one had was May's little act, and of course Brock's new get.

As Zak said rather unoriginal, but of course it had its charming points. As always team rocket were great meowth questioning about the fence then asking Jessie who in return asks James, amusing AND James was the one with the answers. Also James constantly being smashed threw everything. It wasn't to long ago but I cannot remember what James said after he went flying from cacnea's passion punches, can any one help? I remember meowth said it as they were blasting off and James said "that's my line you stole MY line!" har har good stuff.

Disappointments were the fact that had a good idea for a story Swampy raised mudkip so they could be given away as starters however it didn't seem to go anywhere. And Brock's new mudkip seemed to have a HUGE head. and last the little thing that for some reason irked me the most was the "hatching" of the mudkip baby. When I think hatching I think egg breaking into shards maybe some fluid in the egg and a weak baby mudkip since it just hatched. Rather it looked as though it evolved from an egg so it's body WAS the egg not inside the egg. So really instead of an egg it was a blue and orange ball that evolved into an mudkip.

    6/10

    *needs to see this episode*

You forgot "as dry as a Cubone". That was said once, but I can't remember in which episode.

No, actually I didn't. I purposely left that one out because it actually makes sense

And it was in "Spring Fever".

Well that seems to be just how they have Pokemon hatch in the show. Phanpy hatched the same way, Togepi was the only one that had any cracking of the shell invovled, and being an "egg" Pokemon that's to be expected.

It really makes some sense given that many Pokemon couldn't fit in a egg very easily (like, say Scyther) so instead of hatching out they "evolve" from the egg form when they hatch.
