Default EV and IV help. . .

I have a couple of questions about IV's and EV's.

first of all, would a female Adamant Absol be a good pokemon to pass on good attack IV's?

And Secondly, what is the best pokemon to battle when training in Attack? (which gives the best EV's)

And thirdly, does a pokemon get EV's if it is holding an Exp Share and it doesn't actually go into battle?

I have no idea. But if it helps, I had a female Brave Absol whose son had a measly 04 Attack IV. Sad. Although I know almost nothing about breeding for IVs.

And Secondly, what is the best pokemon to battle when training in Attack? (which gives the best EV's)

Absol (2 Att effort points) Zangoose, Ruby only (2 att) Sableye (1 Att 1 Def) Seviper, Sapphire only (1 Att 1 SpAtt) Machop (1 Att) Shuppet (1 Att) ... That's all I can think of at the moment. Remember though, if you're training an all physical Poke like Aron be sure not to fight the Seviper, as you will get useless SpAtt points from it.

And thirdly, does a pokemon get EV's if it is holding an Exp Share and it doesn't actually go into battle?
I am unsure of this. I believe they do, however when I try it they always come out with subpar stat growths. For this reason I only use the ExpShare on pokes I will not use for serious battling, or on ones that have already hit their EV cap.

Anyway, I hope this helps... good day!

You'd have to look at the DVs of each parent. Species and gender have nothing to do with DVs. See this.

In Sapphire, fight wild Shuppets. In Ruby, go fight Zangeese and Nuzleaves on that one route after Fallarbor Town.

Pokémon holding the Exp. Share will receive just as many effort points as if it had participated in the battle itself, yes. The Exp. Share doesn't spit EVs or do anything crazy like that.

Fishing for Sharpedo and Carvhana on R118 is also good for training Attack in both versions, especially for Fighting types.

Probably. The advantage for Fighting types is that Fighting attacks are super effective vs Dark. It works for Bugs, too. Your Absol should be able to deal with Sharpedo and Carvhana with Aerial Ace (the other two attacks are not very effective).

Replace Iron Tail with Return. Iron Tail Sucks. The rest of that set is good.
