Default Saphire Team: Roaring Dragons, Crouching Flames (bah... too corny of a name) -_-U

Yeah, going through the game for a little under a year, I thought I'd see bout getting my current Team Rated..

My team is around LV 73-74 so far and I can still breed for some moves..

    Aggron/Trihorn
    @ Quick Claw
    Iron Defense
    Return
    Iron Tail
    Ice Beam

    Sharpedo/Jaws
    @ King's Rock
    Crunch
    Slash
    Focus Energy
    Surf

    Gardevoir/Ariel
@Ammulet Coin (I know it has no purpose other than cash..... but I want Cash!!!)
    Thunderbolt
    Psychic
    Hypnosis
    Dream Eater

    Flygon/(no name as of yet)
    @Charcoal
    Crunch
    Dragonbreath
    Hyper Beam
    Flamethrower

    Blaziken/Flame
    @ none
    Slash
    Sky Uppercut
    Bulk Up
    Flamethrower

    Rayquaza/Slipher
    @ none
    Fly
    Rest
    Extremespeed
    Ice Beam

I would like some suggestions for Movesets and Items, Esspecially for Slipher. Trihorn does pretty decently against some Dragons and I'm trying to breed for Body Slam and E-Quake on an Arron. Any ideas for Flygon? He's one of my two fastest and I would like to see some good moves for him.

Thanks for all of your inputs.

    Later!

This belongs in the Ruby and Sapphire Team Rating forum. I know it says FINAL teams, but that just means don't post teams that have three pokémon undecided and movesets only half done.

Flygon = Earthquake. It can be bred on, although you will need the TM to get it into the Bug breeding group in the first place - if your existing Flygon is male, may as well use the TM on him. Swap Hyper Beam for Earthquake - his EQ is more powerful than his Hyper Beam anyway (except vs Flying, Grass & Bug). Probably does not need both Fly and Flamethrower. Consider Sandstorm or Rock Tomb (if you don't mind burning that TM). Both Rayquayza and Aggron can be switched in to Sandstorm with no ill-effect.

Rayquayza: Dragon Claw is an option, though I can see the point in going with Ice Beam. I've gotten nice results with Brick Break - deals with Water/Ice better than Flamethrower does, especially on *my* Rayquayza who is Lonely (awww...). Ray has lotsa nice nasty options - how you split it proabably comes down to his personality. +Special Attack types would favour Crunch, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Dragon Claw, Surf; +Attack types would favour Earthquake, Brick Break, Fly, Aerial Ace, Extremespeed, Return, Ancientpower (and Dragon Dance!!).

Because it's a non-breeder, any unique TMs you give it will be used up. Adittionally, giving it too many of those makes it harder to tweak its move pool later with the move tutor - If you've locked in Aerial Ace, Brick Break & Earthquake and you later want to swap one for something else you will have wasted a TM. I'd generally limit it to one of the unique TM's. He has a great pool of natural moves and repeatable machine moves - use them.

I don't usually bother with Rest - if I need it I can always get it back with the move tutor - because Ray is all about hitting first, hardest. Equip him with Shell Bell if you want regeneration - putting him to sleep for two turns is just asking for them to switch in an Ice Beam.
