The original Halo was overrated and overhyped. Of course, it was a great game, nonetheless. The new one looks like it improved much on the original design and I am interested to see how all of the new multiplayer features will work out.
I invite you to read this five page article as there is too much stuff to explain...

Anyways, take any game you love and times that by a billion. You now have half of what Halo 2 is going to be. First off, the single player looks kick bum from last year's demo, and this years is showing off some leg with the online multiplayer. They only had one map available, but it looks great none the less and there will be many more come release Nov. 9.
I don't know what else to say that isn't covered in the said article, but it looks like it will rock. Online play will be so addicting that I will have no life for several months after its release. The game will have great physics and destructible everything which is a cool touch. OK, must stop now! Discuss!

well now with DOOM III and Halo II coming out not to mention the new Conker game, I see no reason to stop denying bying and X-Box. Halo II looks awsome, but will it still have the offline Multiplayer by linking the XBOX's together?
this game does not apeal to me at all....i play halo preofessionally. i have won numerous toruny's, competed in national events, and im 1 of the most respected in the country. and after watching this, i got sick....this game is a little too noob friendly....seeking rocket launcher?....bungie ****ed up big time there.....12v12 games??.....if they get rid of 2v2-4v4, bungie ****ed up bigger there....if ur a regular tourny go'er and an ethusiast as i, u would agree....bungie seems to have focused more on the wants of "play for as week, then wait for halo 2" players, than their true hardcore fans that have dedicated time, patience, and money. bungie better release the original multiplayer maps from halo 1, or just make a new halo live compatible.....tho i have faith that bungie is holding out on us, i am gonna write to them, to see if they AT LEAST kept my beloved pistol. and i hope i can still see the traditional 2v2-4v4's that real players know and love.

Of course you can still play 2 vs 2 and 4 vs 4. And where did you hear 12 vs. 12, from everything I heard it's still just a 16 player games.Originally Posted by PhatZapdos

And SWAMPERT1 Halo 2 will still suport Split Screen and system link.
CHOMP~
spelling is 1 of my weak spots XP;
anyway, ive spoken to a few ppl, and it seems that bungie is keeping most-all of the original maps, and just tweek them a bit here n there. from what i hear they are also keepign the pistol (i will remain godly 8-) ). anyway, i sounded a bit brash before, and thats my fault (twas mad, yes...), tho i dont necessarily like the new gameplay>the old, i think these huge games will give me an opportunity to go more in depth with it. cant wait to beat down on all the r63 clans that think their big ****and im sure bungie will release some new smaller maps that i will enjoy. the way what i see, zanzabar is the "new blood gulch" a place for noobs to have fun. and since there are many more ppl that play it casually > professionally, it would make sense to target that audience wiht the video. anyway srry for sounding like an ass XP....but i still odnt like the rocket.
p.s. i am a bad speller ._.;
1. Professional means you make a living off it. If you have just won a few cash prizes here and there, then you are an amateur. I highly doubt you could live off Halo tournaments alone. And if you could...it wouldn't be a living I'd desired.
2. You also aren't in the majority. Some of us play it for fun, and so far it sounds pretty damn fun to me.
3. What is wrong with 12v12? It's not the only way you can play, as that would be suicide to require 24 people for all games. I find it to be a boon.
i play halo preffessionally. tho im really too young to live for myself, this is probably the only way i make my savings. no i havent just won "some money here and there", i have played with the best the game had to offer, and i have won countless local torunaments, with some top places regionals and a few nationals to top it off. i know some1 who has dropped out of highschool because he is amazingly good at halo. he makes A LOT of money, and is 1 of the best/the best individual player in the world. tho i find it crazy, some do choose this as a choice of life.1. thats what i said2. You also aren't in the majority. Some of us play it for fun, and so far it sounds pretty damn fun to me.
a 12v12 is bad if i want a serious game. for serious games, i look for a 4v4. im not saying i wont play 12v12's, i just dont fid it as serious of a game as the originals3. What is wrong with 12v12? It's not the only way you can play, as that would be suicide to require 24 people for all games. I find it to be a boon.
like i said b4, after i saw that, i got mad (that rocket -_-;....). i talk to some ppl and thought about it and realized, bungie hasnt let me down so far, and i have faith that they wont this time. watching is only 1 way of seeing it. playing is entirely diffrent. we'll never know how many secrets bungie is keeping until it hits stores this november.
I still love Halo and play it reguarly, and I can't wait for Halo 2. It is going to be ****ing great.
