Protect ~ Shockwave ~ Gyro Ball

So, protect the swagger, wait till double team, then use shockwave, when he gets in close, go for gyro ball

With a click of a button the stadium, the ref has never been one for blandness. In the blank slates place rises up tall trees that seem to block out most the light except for a semi-large section in the middle. The brush is thick and moss covers the cracked and fade cobblestones on the ground. The stadium has picked Koga’s Arena as it’s first challenge.

Past that neither opponent waste’s time. Croagunk begins to strut around like he owns the place, but it doesn’t do anything to the ever infuriated Ultrasphere. The voltorb watches casually (or as casual as the creature can get…), content that it’s golden shield as protected it against the enraging show (8 ENG, 3 ENG).

Well, that didn’t work. Croagunk frowns somewhat and decides defensive is best. He quickly summons three clones identical to himself to stand at his side (3 ENG). Ultrasphere reacts accordingly; his body sparks with electricity before he sends a wave out, watching as the toad yelps in surprise, his clones instantly vanishing (2 ENG, 8 DMG).

Not at all pleased with the fact he was just electrocuted, Croagunk’s fangs(?) gleam and he rushes at his opponent. Voltorb isn’t worried, being much faster then the frog ever will be, he spins, picking up a ridiculous amount of speed doing a burn-out before he races for Croagunk. Either pokemon collide, but the force behind Ultrasphere ruins Croagunk’s attack and sends the poor thing flying into a tree (5 ENG, 9 DMG, 10 ENG).

    - I hope the Arena is okay, I didn’t know if you want Anime arenas or the games, and all I found on them was the games… -
    - I need to know both Croagunk’s gender and ability –
    - I rolled to see whether Croagunk managed to use Super Fang or not -

Sorry Croagunk is Male and its ability is Dry Skin

First I'll use Snatch on his Substitute, then use Earthquake after Double Team, and finish it off with Counter.

Ultrasphere is on a roll, it attempts to continue this by summoning a perfect replica of itself (15 DMG, 8 ENG, SUB). To say Croagunk was jealous would be an understatement, in a show of absolutely vile; he snatches the doll from voltorb! The poor electric-type looks furious as suddenly his doll warps into his enemy (5 ENG, SUB)

Well without it’s sub, Ultrasphere instead uses a brief moment to split into four copies of himself (one being real) (3 ENG). Croagunk smirks, and begins to violently hop around the arena. The ground trembles, and begins to crack as suddenly a horrific earthquake destroys the field. Trees bend and begin to fall and poor Ultrasphere is torn apart by the blow, his clones disappear and his stolen sub explodes into fluff (24 DMG, 24 DMG, 6 ENG)!

Well… That sucked, Ultrasphere groans, and as soon as he’s able too, he charges up an ionized beam and fires it at his fightning-type foe. It hits Croagunk dead on, zapping his body (1 ENG, 7 DMG). Croagunk just looks back at his trainer, how does he counter a non-physical move?

    - Is there a DMG CAP? My standard is 40 –
    - White DMG is towards the Sub -

Ok first use Taunt, then use Sucker Punch, and finish it off with Dynamic Punch.

Last round didn’t go very well for Ultrasphere, and it seems Croagunk wants to anger the ball further. He begins to insult the electric type (4 ENG), but voltorb is unaffected. His protective shield blocks out all the insults, letting the orb relax (8 ENG).

Croagunk watches expectantly, wanting to catch his opponent off guard. Alas, Ultrasphere’s eyes glow white and suddenly he’s floating (2 ENG). Croagunk blinks, that… Wasn’t what he was expecting…

The fighting type rushes forward, his fist crackling with dizzying energy (3 ENG). He swings, but completely misses as Ultrasphere rolls off, picking up speed before turning round and smacking the fighting type right in the back (2 ENG, 2 DMG). Croagunk grumbles, the attack didn’t do much but that was annoying.

    Damn thing still rolling too.

Ultrasphere tries for a quick thunderwave, sending off a small wave of electricity at his opponent (1 ENG). Croagunk however, is ready. His skin gleams and there almost seems to be some sort of coating over him before the thunderwave bounces back at voltorb (6 ENG). Poor Ultrasphere is bewildered when his own status inducer hits him instead (PAR).

Croagunk clenches his fist, and slowly it begins to turn white with energy as Ultrasphere summons a golden, faint shield around itself (4 ENG). The fighting type smirks, as nothing had broken his gaze off of voltorb or distracted him, he’s ready. With one powerful wallop he sends his bright fist into Ultrasphere’s face! Voltorb gets his revenge though, static energy zaps Croagunk, and sudden his muscles ache and feel as if they want to lock up (PAR, 4 ENG, 17 DMG).

Well that sucked… What sucks even more is Ultrasphere can’t move! His.. gears (muscles?) lock up and refuse to grind (5 ENG).

Croagunk blinks, he can’t counter what never comes.
