Yeah I think they do. Your best bet is to just get lots of money and buy all the coins you need. Fight the Elite Four alot, it's the only way you'll get enough cash to buy a Porygon.
So I thought I finally found a lucky machine because I won about 700 on it. But then, I lost 300... so I stopped. Is that normal? Do lucky machines change? I want a Porygon :-(
Yeah, it's a much faster way to do it... Winning the slots is just that, winning the slots. You get lucky sometimes and at others you don't. (In my case, I never do.) They're there for you if you're bored, but don't count on them as a source of income. Like PX said, the Elite Four is the easiest, and by far, the least frustrating way to get a Porygon, because you get to level up your pokémon at the same time.
Or, if you don't care about gaining levels, you can get a Nugget and do the Missingno. trick and sell all of them but one and then do the trick again until you get maximum money... Lol. That is, of course, unless you have the Yellow Version.

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.
Ah man, that's still so far away...
oh well, I guess I'll live without. Thanks, guys. (Next stop: Saffron!)
Hah, I pwned on this, here's my trick...
I got enough money to buy enough coins for Porygon, then I put the game into the game boy pak for the N64 and loaded it up on Pokemon Stadium. Then I talked to the girl who you buy coins off and used my autofire controller so I could go and do more interesting stuff while I auto-bought coins.
I pwn so bad.

If you have Yellow Version and can't do the Missingno. trick, an option I used to use was to teach a pokémon Pay Day--Meowth can't be caught in Yellow, but there's a Pay Day TM you can get if you have Surf--and use it against pokémon with high defense and low attack, like Onix. A move as weak as Pay Day might need five or six hits, or even more if you're facing a Rock-type, and the target doesn't have the power to crush you while you're whittling at it. Twice the user's level in Pokébucks per hit can start to add up if you're patient.Originally Posted by Charizard04621

The Trick On How To Get Money Is The Elite Four And Pay Day. It May Take A Bit Of Time But If You Put It On A High Level Pokemon It'll Be Even Shorter A Time, But That's Just My Opinion.
I've never tried the Elite Four/payday tricks because the exchange rate is so bad. Doing it that way, you need ten times the money to buy the pokemon you want.
Blue is the easiest game if you want to win Porygon, because Porygon only costs 6500 tokens. In Red & Yellow it's higher. Blue also has the most visible 7s, so you have a better chance at big wins. Every machine has winning and losing streaks. The loosest slot in all games is the one just below the machine that says Out Of Order. Once you start winning, it's easy to rack up 1000 or more. Save often, especially after a big win, and always remember where you started. If I start losing I quit my session after 3-5 losses in a row. And if I've lost more than 100 tokens when I start a session I turn off the game rather than continue - it pays to be conservative. You can also pick up tokens just by walking around the casino and pushing your A button. Good luck DE!
best way to get porygon:
1). duplicate nuggets
2). sell nuggets
3). Buy Coins
4). Buy Porygon
yeah, it's a hassle, but it's a sure-fired trick. mwahahah
Burning in water, drowning in flame
True that, one use for Missingno that doesn't go wasted. The time you spend actually playing the slots, and the amount of restarts to make sure you're not loosing money would be better spent trying to raise more money and just buy the coins.
Get Blue, Porygon is a good 3000 coins cheaper (6999 instead of 9999)
