Pokeblocks

Now, this will probably make me sound (and feel) stupid, but I can live through that. So, my question(s).

If you're entering a beauty contest, you'd want to feed your pokemon pokeblocks that would make him/her 'beautiful', right? But would you also want it to make him/her something else (like cute/cool/smart/ect.)? Because the woman hasnt been giving me the skarf when my pokemon has maximum beauty, but only maximum beauty. I dont really understand what it would make sense to feed it anything else... *Shrugs* Eh?

Mmm... the scarves are given out by the leader of the pokémon fan club (a man, not a woman). You definitely only need to have maxed out one contest stat to get the scarf. It's hard to max out in two stats on the same pokémon, unless you are able to mix 4-way with other trainers and have some pretty rare berries. Scarves are held items, so you can swap them after they have been awarded - you only need five pokémon, each maxed out in a different contest stat.

As far as the contests themselves, I think it's supposed to be helpful to increase the stats adjacent to the title stat on the Contest Stat Pentagon. For example, in a Cool Contest, obviously you want to max out Cool, but it might also help your ranking if you improve your contestant's Toughness and Beauty. You can pretty much ignore Smart and Cute, though, since they're on the opposite side of the Pentagon (You can view the Pentagon using the Pokénav, if you weren't sure.)
