Default A challenge (Scyther in contests)

The bottom line is this: I want a Scyther painting for EVERY category of contest. A couple are pretty easy, but I'm far from a contest expert, and thus I want to know the best sets for each category to put on a Scyther. I already know about making the right berries, as well as the best personalities for the Scythers.

    Any help would be appreciated,

Default A challenge (Scyther in contests)

Pardon me if some do not work, I've not tried some of them.

    For a Cool contest:
    Endure/Double Team
    Reversal/Agility
    Swords Dance
    Slash/Wing Attack/Aerial Ace/Swift/Hyper Beam

Endure & Reversal's a good combo when you know when you will end up in last place to use Reversal, while Double Team is good with Agility. Use Double Team with Agility, then Aerial Ace/Swift to get yourself a nice number of hearts. Swords Dance to up your condition (optional) and with Slash when you know your opponent's most likely move. Scyther's a VERY good Pokemon in a Cool contest.

    For Cute
    Swords Dance/Silver Wind
    Baton Pass/Attract/Rest
    Mimic/Secret Power
    Facade

Woah, this one is hard to predict and use. Use Facade when in last place. Swords Dance n Silver Wind again for conditioning. Baton Pass/Attract to freeze opponents in shock, and Rest for juz plain protection. Mimic's a good move to get more hearts when your opponent before you manages to get lots of hearts, and Secret Power's good with Swords Dance and Silver Wind.

    For Tough
    Swords Dance/Silver Wind
    Rock Smash
    Secret Power
    Thief

I am so not good in Tough contests... You know the moves, SD/SW first then Rock Smash/Secret Power. 2 SW/SD will be enough. Thief for an added bonus, especially when you are in last place. This set might not work that well, though. You can also try the Cool one, juz replace a move with a Tough move to get some extra hearts.

For Smart(Oh my, its getting tougher)
    SD/SW(again...)
    Secret Power
    Rock Smash/Toxic
    Hidden Power?

Really... this set is hard to make... SD/SW combo again... Toxic to wipe out opponents' stars, Hidden Power for repeated usage. This moveset is VERY unstable....

For Beauty(O.O the worst to build)
    SD/SW
Slash/Double Team/Sunny Day(-_-" like who would put Sunny Day?)
    Agility
    Aerial Ace/Swift

Similar to the Cool moveset, Sunny Day is for when the audience's excitement has almost reached 5.

Hope you like all of them, some might not work, but those which I'm certain would be the Cool, Beauty and Tough contest, if you can predict which moves will be used.

Basically RocketScyther wants to have all the blank museum portaits in Lilycove to be filled with Scyther. To get a portait in the museum a single pokemon needs to have won all the contests of it's type (ie, my Milotic has won every "Beauty Contest" from Normal to Master Rank, so she has her portait hanging up in the Lilycove Museum.)

The trick to winning contests involves feeding pokeblocks to raise the status you want to excel, using a good combination of Contest Moves and wearing the right scarf. The best sort of Contest movesets involve using moves of the contest type (ie Beauty moves for a Beauty contest) and moves that give a lot of Appeal coupled with combos that double the amount of points you get in the round.

Some pokemon are easier to "level up" in certain status areas than others as well.

It's not complicated but very involving if you plan ahead for what you want, like EVs.
