Okay Sony has just wrapped up it's news conference, they showed off the powerhouse that is the PS3. Major things announced is that the system can do up to 7 Bluetooth controllers, Backwards Compatable, and GTA Next available at launch. Tonight I believe is the Microsoft Conference, followed by Nintendo tomarrow morning.

I'd like to see it render 7 screens at once without lagging. Or blowing up. If it can't do it, what's the point of being able to accomodate 7 controllers? Oh, and mind linking to your sources?

As far as the 7 controllers I would guess that would be sports games or being able to connect to several TV's with just one system.

I thought about the second myself - but it's still having to process 7 screens worth of graphics engine renders, as well as 7 players worth of physics engine. I'd say the XBox 360 would be very very very very hard-pressed (read: fanboy saying it's probably impossible) to do 7 screens off of one machine, even with three dual core processors. God, the PS3 controller looks so ugly. The design of the console is nice, but I can't say the same for the controller. One might say that Sony was on crack when developing it.

It's also wireless and shaped like a boomerang. The first time I throw it at a friend, it's going to come back and hit me in the face

I edited my first post to take the PS3 Concept picture off, it seems everyone is trying to get pictures off that site. Anyway I would think that after the amount of complants that come in about the Controller that Sony would change it. I mean the whole thing is still in the concept stage right now, if you remember a few years back the PSP looked some what different than the released one. Also some screens are coming in with the games now, the Spiderman people have claimed to be able to run the actual movie model of the Spiderman 2 Character on the PS3, how that effects the new Spiderman game coming out for it could be interesting.

Not surprised how much more powerful it is than the previous PS2 considering that the PS2 was graphically the weakest system.
