Name: Bryan Rambert
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Year: Second Semester Sophomore (Indeedy, go transfer creddies)
Appearance: Bryan is of average height and comes from a mixed mid-European heritage. He is a swimmer so while he doesn't have much muscle mass, he is stronger than he looks and possesses a good amount of endurance (he does distance events). He has short brown hair and a noticeably receding hairline, something that is mercilessly made fun of by his friends. His eyes are a bright green with streaks of other colors that vary depending on the light. He usually wears black "swishy" pants, a tie-dye shirt, and a soft black jacket with the words "Carthage National Team" embroidered on the back in red.
Personality: Constantly cheerful, Bryan takes the position that things could always be worse, so why moan about how they are now? He enjoys simply hanging out with his friends, laughing uncontrollably at the antics that inevitably happen. He is very studious as well, spending a good part of his time on schoolwork.
Major/Minor: Biology/Chemistry (Pre-Med)
Activity: When the wave hit, Bryan was focused intently on one of the most difficult Calculus problems he had encountered in class yet. At the moment the wave hit he had just achieved that flash of inspiration when a problem suddenly falls into place.
Power: Due to the stimulated state his mind was in when the wave hit, Bryan's inherent mental powers were enhanced. He now possesses a wide array of Psionic powers. Most of his powers revolve around telekinetics, the ability to manipulate the world around him with his mind (shields, blasts, levitation, etc.) He also gained some forms to telepathy, including a limited ability to sense intentions and surface thoughts of people around him under severe concentration. (EDIT: For clarification as requested. Bryan doesn't hear surface thoughts as actual thoughts like "I'm hungry" or "DIE!" but rather as something of a mental buzz that he can get some ideas of emotions or intentions from.)
Relations: Bryan is close friends with Duke, Kalah, and Matt. He has a girlfriend at another college named Emily who, of yet, does not know of his powers.
History: Bryan is a member of the Carthage Swim Team. Currently the best distance swimmer on the team, much of his time is devoted to training or traveling to meets. He is also a member of the KFMC mentioned before. A benefactor of the colleges Lincoln Scholarships (full-ride, something else that his friends rip on a lot), Bryan also has duties relating to the College's public relations.
Other: Bryan's powers are incredibly varied and thus require intense concentration to bring about some of the more remarkable effects. Also, due to their variation, he has less pure strength in any ability than someone who specialized solely on that ability (i.e. Shielding). Although he can overcome that power with some amount of finesse, he will inevitably be more drained than one who's power was meant for the situation.

"Damn....she's crazy for giving us this."
Bryan continued to mumble to himself as he sat staring at the open Calculus book in front of him. He had been working on the same problem for nearly fifteen minutes now and he didn't feel any closer to coming to a solution. Sighing, he bent his head and began punching more numbers into his calculator, maybe something would come to him.
Lesse...if I can integrate this function I might be able to get half the area but that's not going to help me unless I can also find the same for the other half....I need....yes!
Inspiration had snuck in through the open door of Bryan's dorm room and thwapped him a good one on the head. In fact...it must have hit him rather harder than usual. A flash of light obscured Bryan's vision for a moment, sending an alarming tingle through his mind which was still racing with his thoughts on the problem. It passed quickly however leaving Bryan staring at his math book once again, breathing deep as he tried to figure out what exactly had happened.
"Some sort of lightning? No...It's beautiful out. Than what....crap! I forgot what I was planning to do now!"
His mind drawn away from the odd flash, Bryan frantically tried to recreate the solution that his mind had just arrived at before the star's pulse had struck him.
......
Wait wait wait. That couldn't have been real...and what was with that "don't hurt me anyway"? Wimp
"Shut up," murmured Bryan as he stopped near the dorms. He really needed to get more sleep, late night Guitar Hero fests were getting to him. Wandering down the length of South, Bryan's thoughts were thus distracted when a sudden crash rang out above. Jerking his head up he saw what appeared to be the screen of a 27' TV rapidly increasing in size above him.
That's impossible. There can't be a TV above you, you're outside. They would have had to throw it out the.........crap
It had happened before and now it was happening again, only this time he was under the makeshift projectile hurled in drunken stupor from the dorm room above. Uselessly throwing his hands above him, Bryan prepared for the impact of several pounds of electronics and glass that would no doubt be quite painful...actually he probably wouldn't feel much before he fell unconscious. The strike never came however and, after allowing enough time to make sure that he truly was alive, he looked up. The TV was still there....in the air. Bryan gave a shout of confusion and some measure of fear at the impossible thing he was seeing.
Moments later Matt and Kalah arrived, seeing Bryan still standing there under the TV which was still just hovering a few inches above his head. Bryan turned to them and gave a wide-eyed shrug, "Um...yeah."
At a run, Matt tackled Bryan bodily, moving him out from under the offending appliance. His attention from the TV broken Bryan heard a crash as it finally completed its descent a few feet from where Matt and he now lay. Getting shakily to his feet once Matt had removed himself he stared at his friends, "Something weird's happening. There really was two of you weren't there Matt? And I really just saw a TV stop midair and hover a few milliseconds away from bashing my brains out right?"
Kalah just stared back. It was up to Matt to reply which he did with a shake of his head, "Yeah...there was and you did. Um, yeah, that's all I've got."
