Re: Me ol' stoof
XD The second one *is* a skitty, just a... rendered version? LOL. Uhm, the first one is my usul on neopets, called Tarrani. And I usually spend 1-2 hours, take a break, then spend another 1-2 hours on it later. o_o; They're bgless though so it takes a little less, but I dunno ^_^;
Anyhow, here's a pixel-animation thing I made... I used the lineart from MHAO's oekaki that I made, so please don't go accusing me of stealing it. x_x;

It's a raichu, incase you can't tell. XD
Here's another raichu, with freaky eyes and a weird bg! =O

And... that's all for now, inless you want really old stuff... o_o;;

Re: Me ol' stoof
Ah, the pictures are quite "popular" here. I should also think of commenting on it, so let's begin with the first three ones.
The first three ones are drawn quite good, though strange in color. The second looks obviously like a "baby Skitty". The eyes of the three animals look 3-D, and what I mean by that is that the animals' eyes look like real rubies and emeralds and sapphires. However, the "baby Skitty" eye's look like their blinded. The dark blue color doesn't match the body color of the creature.
The moving Raichu looks cool (I don't know how to make moving sprites, that's why that is all I can say about it). The Raichu picture right below the sprite looks cool, especially the background. The background looks like real thunder in thunderstorms, which is really cool.
The other set of Pokemon moving sprites also look cool, especially the Gengar. I like it the most, not only does it look awesome, but also it is very unique from all of the other moving sprites.
Next is the Cubone. Looks quite reality. With the shading, it's not bad. It's position fits its characteristic, always attacking its enemies with its strong, hard bone.
And finally, the last one. I could say, the coloring is...unique. Looks like those old games with poor graphics. I really can't use any other thing to describe the coloring. It just bumps into my mind.
Finally, I'm done with all the pictures. You must be a practiced computer graphic profession. Keep up the good work! I'm sure that you'll be very good in computer graphics.
(Though I know nothing of that)

Re: Me ol' stoof
LOL. I guess I'm gonna have to use more tones in with those halftones in the oekaki ^^; And the blue critter is my Usul Tarrani. XD Also, I can't quiet understand what you mean with the Skitty, but I'll try to avoid that next time o_o;
No piccies for now, I'm in the middle of one though. Can't summon up the inspiration to finish it. x_X; hurm.

Re: Me ol' stoof
XD Thanks. I'll try to work on the smoothness-thingie, I was trying to make it look like the official art style (drawing wise, not coloring wise XD) but whatever ^^; harhar. o-o
I dun have any finished drawings.. but I've got some sketches. D: so here yago. Btw, these are links because the images are huge. The images are huge because I shrink them after I finish coloring them. ^_^;

Re: Me ol' stoof
XD I guess he does! I happen to love all of those animals, especially mouses. o-o; LOL.
About the lines- well, I did them on paper and then scanned them. Afterwards I used this tutorial to clean the lines up. http://www.deviantart.com/view/19316951/
You need photoshop though. XD If you do have photoshop, you can also use this tutorial to make lineart with the pen tool. Which IMO comes out clean but takes too long. D: http://www.deviantart.com/view/21814747/
My overall tip for lineart though is PSP7 (paint shop pro 7). It has the best tool, the pen tool, which is completely different then photoshop's. It comes out extroadinarily clean and is very, VERY easy to use. PSP7 is only good for lineart and avatars/sprites though. D: yarr. Inless you're REALLY good at it, then you can, technically use it for coloring... but I wouldn't advise you to. o-o It's also very cheap, like $80 when I bought it which was four years ago. ._.; Try looking on amazon.com or ebay.com, hee ^^;
EDIT: OH! If you don't know how to get lineart that you scanned to be on it's on layer, it's very easy. ^_^; First, go to Select- Color Range- and click white. It's best if the Fuzziness is set to 200. Then go to Select- Inverse. Create a new layer, and fill in the selected area with black. Deselect (ctrl+d), go to the backround layer, and fill it with white. Tada, your lineart has it's own layer! ^_^;
Of coarse, you can instead duplicate the linearts layer, set it to multiply, and then color underneath... but then you can't recolour the lineart. D: rahr.
