    Default `,` Anime War XII: Anniversary Edition `,` [Sign-Ups]

    Well hello there everyone! Guess what? Uncy Bear is back, and he's bringing back an old RPG with him! For those who remember, World Collision ran the very successful Anime War for a long time. I took over after number ten, as he left the board. I hope this will be a hell of a round! This is just the sign-up topic, but I'll put all the rules here to refresh and/or fill peoples' memory.

    PLOT:
    ~~~~
    Welcome, all! Just as the name sounds, the Anime War is a war of anime characters. However, it is unlike a tournament in that you will not be assigned opponents. It's a big free for all, and the last person standing wins! When you register, you choose one (and ONLY one) character from an Anime or Video Game to do battle with. You assume the role of that character, and use his/her features and your own creativity to eliminate the other players. Players will be divided into teams, depending on the number of people that register. There is -NO- limit to the number of people that sign up, so please, come one, come all!


    RULES:
    ~~~~~
    1) You will execute your attacks in the form of "battle posts". You will NOT be eliminating people in one post, so don't try. I am the judge, so I determine how much damage your attacks do. I will mostly be awarding 1 damage point to attacks, occasionally 2. I will not be allowing more than 3 damage to be done in one turn, so don't try. Try to keep posts short and concise (I will provide an example later).
    2) To keep things interesting, and add a more realistic spin to it, your characters will be experiencing fatigue as normal people do. That means you can't be unleashing massive final attacks over and over through the entire RPG. I am not preventing you from using strong attacks, but they will come with a cost.
    3) Your character will have a health bar, looking like this:
    HEALTH: IIIIIIIIIIIIIII
    4) Your character will have potions, used to refill your health or cure your fatigue. Potions will fill/deplete the meters completely, but you can only use them on one bar, not both. So, for example, you can either use a potion to refill your health completely, OR return your fatigue to zero, but not both., so you must specify in your post. Your potion bar looks like this: POTION: IIIII
    5) Your character will have a fatigue bar, that looks like this: FATIGUE: IIIIIIIIIIIIIII
    NOTE: Unlike the other two bars, which start full, the fatigue bar will start empty, and gradually fill up. So your bar will not start looking like the one above, I was just showing the colors. Fatigue can be cured by potion, OR by "resting". By "resting", I mean not executing any attacks for a length of time. For every day your character does not make a post (offensive or defensive), 2 fatigue bars will be cured (I will alter this variable depending on how it plays out in the RPG). Of course, while "resting", one cannot defend against attacks.
    6) You may defend against an attack with a "defense" post. Defending negates any damage done, but it does cause some fatigue. Defense posts, to be counted, must be within 24 hours of the attacking post against you. Choosing not to defend against an attack will cause you to take the damage, but not be fatigued.
    7) No ganging up will be allowed. A character may not attack the same person more than once in a 24 hour period, nor can a person be attacked more than 3 times in 24 hours. Strategy is encouraged, but please, try to keep it fair and fun for everyone.
    8.) You may not execute more than 2 attacks total in a 24 hour period. That means you may attack two different people per day, and no more. Also, as stated in rule 7, you cannot attack the same person twice within 24 hours.
    9) No Evading/Hiding from attacks. You may include it as part of a defense post, but you will incur the same Fatigue cost as any other defense.
    10) I will be giving small bonuses occasionally to people who make particularly clever and creative posts. These bonuses will come in the form of a couple of Health bars here and there, or some fatigue cures, or maybe (if you're lucky) a potion. These will be rare though, so don't expect them all the time.
    11) HAVE FUN! I will be releasing a spinoff Battle Tournament RPG soon, so keep a lookout!

I giggled like a school girl and scampered off.

    Also, the character I plan to use is a necromancer, so will that have any affect on this?

    Okay, I've never done this, so stop me if this is wrong...

    Character's name - Sonic the Hedgehog
    Age - Do you really know?
    Anime/Game you're from - Sonic the Hedgehog: Any of them!
    Weapon(s) - Spin Attack/ Air Spin Attack/ Extreme Speed: He is super fast on the ground, and watch out! If he hits ya, it's gonna hurt! The Air Spin Attack just means he can leap into the air and THEN zoom forward in a spin.
    Special attacks - Chaos Control: The Chaos Emerald was given as a gift by Knuckles for this tournament; can be used every so often to make him even faster. In fact, he's practically TRANSPORTING to where he wants to go.
    Attire/Physical appearance -Completely blue hedgehog that stands on two legs, wears white gloves and red shoes with white stripes. His feet are abnormally big, since he runs super fast. His skin shoots spikes from his back down to his tail, which is deadly when he spins.
    Personality - Very sarcastic, and usually works alone, unless with his brother, Tails, or his friend Knuckles, but knows who his allies are and who can help him the most. Usually the first to insult and jump into the fray, mainly because he knows he's faster than most of the competition, allowing him time to figure out how to beat it.
    Previous Anime War experience - None whatsoever.

    Hope that's okay. I wanted to use Super Sonic at first, but I thought that would be too strong...

    M_C - There's no limit on people, so no need to save a spot. Also, your character can be anything, as long as it's real. The playing field is equal anyway, so no character is "stronger" than the other.

    Hehe... this could be fun.... perhaps you should "attacks" as one of the things to fill out?

    Character's name - Mario!
    Age - Hum... late thirties or fourties probably.
    Anime/Game you're from - Mario Bros.
    Weapon(s) - None; he is a close range fighter, minus his special attack.
    Attack(s) - You mean besides punching and kicking like a mad man? He's got a deadly uppercut; he jumps in the air and takes his opponent with him on the tip of his fist. Also, he has a kind of whirlwind attack, where he just spins around with his arms stretched out.
    Special attacks - Mario can shoot small fireballs out of his palms. He also carries a small mushroom with him; this mushroom, once eaten, will cause him to quadruple his size for a short amount of time.

    Personality - Vash is basically like your average 9 year old pretending the world is good and everything is right. Vash is characterized by his non-violent policy. His value for life rises above all of his other motives for action in his life, and his motto "Love and Peace" (signified by a crossed peace sign) is his outward statement of that moral code. When Vash does fight, he does not aim to kill, and when there is death...he fights to end it

    Age: 18 since the first game he was created for (Mega Man 1)
    Anime/Game you're from: Mega Man classic series
    Race: Robot/Android. Dr. Light said I could borrow him for a while. :p
    Weapon(s): Mega Buster Arm Cannon - It fires basic energy shots at foes. It can be charged up to fire a long thin green shot (Level 1 charge) or a large yellow shot (Level 2 charge). The greater the shots, the more powerful the damage. Yet, it also consumes more fatigue as a result too.
    Special Weapon: Variable Weapons System - Upon defeating a foe, Mega Man will inherit one of the fallen foe's attack or ability that are trademark from the foe. However, Mega Man will only get one power per enemy.*
    Physical Appearance: (See Attachment)
    Mega Man dons a blue helm that extends all the way to the back of his head and with sound filtering earpieces over each ear. He dons a blue battlesuit that is considerably thicker and darker around the abodmen, legs, and arms. The only place that is not covered is his face, where he has blue eyes and a light complexion from tan-to-white. He may be 18 years old, but his design was built to be (and still is) like a 13 year old.
    Personality: His personality is much based off the creator who made him. He has a strong sense of righteousness and justice as well as the belief of karma - ""One action produces a reaction; that is karma." He fights for the defense and protection of others, and there is no limit to how far he'll go to acheive it. Dr. Wily and his endless stream of robots are testament to that. X3 He is a strong, trusting, and loyal friend that anyone can befriend and respect, yet he is always aware of his surroundings.
    Previous War Experience: None


    * = The Variable Weapons System works in the games when Mega Man lays a killing blow on a foe. I'm not exactly sure how this would work out in this RP. If Mega Man should only get abilites by laying the final blow himself, then that would encourage other players to hog up the kills. If Mega man gets the power for every fallen foe (whether by his hand or not), then I'm not sure if that'd be unbalancing. Any suggestions on how to implement this ability?

    Character's name – Organic Angel Alexiel
    Age – Ancient (Unknown)
    Anime/Game you're from – Angel Sanctuary
    Weapon(s) – Nanatsusaya, a Holy Sword. (This sword is a demonic sword, which has its own mind and influence. Alexiel is the only being who has ever been able to harness its powers. While it is a sword, it also has been reincarnated into a human known as Kira Sakuya, whom can shift between forms.)
    Special attacks – She’s a Angel who defied God and rebelled with the Demons of Hell. So thus, she does have angelic powers… but it remains neutral, neither good nor evil. There are no ‘specific’ names, although she can’t harness the elemental powers of water, fire or anything like that. Mostly its neutral magic to increase power and such.
    Attire/Physical appearance - See attached pictures below. The last one is of Kira Sakuya.
    Personality - Alexiel is a kind and extremely competent. She’s very open to the views and opinions of others, and has an open heart. (Tends to be a guy magnet too… much to her dismay.) However, she is passionate for what she fights for and is a very dangerous enemy. Strong, swift… almost man-like in her fighting abilities… she’s the most feared Angel, besides perhaps her twin brother, Rosiel.
    Previous Anime War experience – I fought in one of them… can’t remember which, as the Powerpuff Girls. Lol

    Anime/Game you're from - Final Fantasy X
    Weapon(s) - Brotherhood. Basically a broadsword that looks like its made out of water. Its incredibly light and allows Tidus to make very swift and rapid strikes.
    Special attacks - Blitz Ace: Tidus unleashes a string of powerful slashes on the enemy followed by an aerial sommersult kick of a blitzball to the enemy. (Think Cloud's omnislash with an additional finishing blow)

    Personality - Tidus is a vibrant and energetic youth from the futuristic city of Zanarkand. He is very sporty and friendly. Did I mention he rocks at blitzball? :biggrin:

    Special attacks - Trinity- Sora raises his sword into the sky, summoning the spirits of Donald and Goofy. The two spirits circle around him as he puts the blade into the ground. The blade cause a aranic symbol to appear and the ground creates a massive attack.

    Good question. Unlike most RPGs, we're not following a particular plot. There's really no "introduction" post necessary for your character, unless you really feel like doing one. It's very open, and you don't necessarily have to "follow" other people's posts. As long as you follow the guidelines on posting intervals and rules, there's really no limitations. If you want to attack a particular character, post your attack. Just remember to follow the rules. I hope that answers your question. If not, please send me a PM.

    Weapon(s): Melee- His arms, legs, even his head! Luffy ingested something called the Gomu Gomu (Rubber) Fruit, which allows him to stretch any part of his body. If you ever had a Stretch Armstrong, you know what I mean.
    Special Attacks: Gomu Gomu Storm- Luffy kicks his opponent straight up into the air. Then, he launches himself after them, unleashing a storm of punches faster than the eye can see.

    Personality: The creator modeled him after Kid Goku from Dragonball. Similarly, Luffy is not too intelligent, but very strong. Yet, even a fool can be wise, and Luffy often knows the right path to follow when others falter.

    Character Name Edward Elric, the Fullmetal Alchemist.
    Animé/Game Fullmetal Alchemist.
    Weapon(s) Auto-mail arm right arm, left leg.
    Special Abilities With alchemy, Ed can transmute any substance into something of equal value (et. transmuting his auto-mail arm into a sharp blade). Because he saw the gate, no transmutation circle (a requirement for most alchemists) is unneeded; Ed simply claps his hands together to create a circle within his own body.
    Attire/Physical Appearance At bottom.
    Persona Very hot-headed; it's unwise to make fun of his small stature. Otherwise, he is very intelligent in knowing what elements go into everything. He doesn't like to kill, although he is no stranger to doing so.
    Previous Experience None at all.

    Just a quick question before I sign up.

    If I were to choose Iron Man(he was in a game! ), would changing armor be considered an attack, a defense, a "rest"? Or totally out of the question?

    Also: Are characters going to be scaled up or down for battle at all? I see no way someone like Tidus being a match for an Angel is all.

    Valid questions Hatake. Firstly, yes I am going to scale the characters to make the playing field equal. Secondly, I would probably classify changing armor as a defense, provided its purpose was to defend against a particular attack. I'm trying to keep this as simple as possible, so I might not even take armor into account. I'm not using sophisticated damage formulas or anything, pretty much 1 damage per attack. But thanks for bringing it up, I'll think on that one.

    Eeen! This is gonna be fun! After thinking long and hard about it.. I've decided to go with this...

    Character's name - Bobobo-bo bo-bobo (or Bobobo for short)
    Age - Unknown
    Anime/Game you're from - Bobobo-bo bo-bobo
    Weapon(s) - Nosehair, armpit hair, any other hair you can think of (it can make the form of weapons as well)
    Special attacks - Hanage Shinken - Uses his unlimited amount of nosehair to create various strikes/captures/defensive shields. One of the most common attack moves is Snot Fo-yu; Bo-bobo Gekijou (Bobobo Theatre) - Begins an oddball story that engulfs all around into it. The story usually deviates from it's original point and can get to the point where things are just down-right confusing. This tactic's purpose is to lower the opponent's defense and sense of security, leaving him/her open for attack; Afro Bonanza - Bobobo opens his afro to reveal/take out a weapon/confuse oncomming opponents

    Personality - He only wants justice and comes off as quite noble. However, he's really just a big, hypocritial jerk (most of the time) and almost CONSTANTLY contradicts what he says.

    Well since it's all being scaled up and down I don't think it matters if IM is in Hulkbuster or Thorbuster anymore considering both would be scaled down so Luffy doesn't get nuked harder in one than another
