Arena: Huge, empty plain, lots of ground for manoeuvring but no place to hide.
Sky condition:Clear, no sign of clouds

I choose Chaucer (Male Totodile)

Now do we need a ref or do you go ahead and start first since you're supposed to attack first anyway? ^_^

Hmm, not too sure about that. Some ref prefer the battler to attack first.

Anyway...

Kizu, start off with a Sword Dance. Then, use Agility. Finally, attack that Totodile with a Slash.

Ok Chaucer, our very first battle, and the first time work together.

Start off with Scary Face to lower Kizu's speed to a more manageable level, then while he's using Agility, start off with your Rage, keep up with it, take the Slash from Kizu head on, build up your power and unleash your Rage.

round one
The two trainers, one a newcomer to the ASB League, Hyperness is a Good Thing (HiaGT for short), the other not a newcomer to the ASB League, darktyranitar (whom enjoys merging two words together and not capitalizing), step into the vacant fields that HiaGT has conjured. The smooth winds brush against both trainers as they ready their first, and only, poké balls carefully. HiaGT tosses the ball to the grassy field, "I choose Chauncer!"

The ball slaps against the ground before exploding in a pulsating white light; emerging from said ball is a very energetic water pokémon akin to most crocodiles... that stand up. "Todo, todo," he cackles with a rhaspy voice.

"SCYTHER!," cries Kizu, the scyther summoned by non-newcomer, darktyranitar.

The attacks have been called out, and the match officially begins with Kizu holding both her scythe-like appendages high into the air. She begins swiping the blades along one another in hopes to sharpen them. Whilst doing so, Chauncey glares at his mantis foe with a certain look. Kizu stares, frightened by the 'dile's fierce gaze. Shuddering, Kizu cries out, "Scyther!," as she hovers around the field gaining speed that was previously lost. Meanwhile, Chauncey begins to think angrily before rushing over towards Kizu with an unhappy grimace. He slams down upon the bug pokémon with his right claw (4% – Kizu). She then retalliates, slashing down on the totodile with her strengthened scythe (8% – Chauncey). The anger within Chauncey spreads like a wildfire as he throws his right claw into the scyther once again (6% – Kizu).

Chauncey is sporting a large gash upon his side, but that only seems to further fuel his anger.

Chaucer, move in and attack with a high powered Hydro Pump. While the Scyther is still disconcerted, use your Mud Slap since there's so much nice water on the ground, make sure she is totally splattered all over and blinded by the mud. After that, finish it off with an Ice Beam, and try to freeze the Scyther if possible.

The attacks are fine, but try not to edit your attack posts. It makes it look like you're adjusting your strategy to counter your opponent's; however, because your opponent has yet to post, I'm sure we can let it slide.

owhz, I editted it because I noticed 3(!!) typos and I called the Scyther a he when it was supposed to be a she...

hehe, I asked Emofaun to make a banner for me(but I have to bug her a lot first according to her and it might take a while) =) but thank you for the offer...

and darktyranitar is away and will be back by monday or something like that *was looking at the absence towers* so this battle is in hiatus for a while I guess. ^_^

Anyway, Kizu, quickly use Agility to dodge the incoming Hydro Pump. Then, use Mimic to copy the Mud Slap and give it to Chaucer. Finally, give the Totodile a hard knock with a Skull Bash, and hopefully the Ice Beam won’t freeze you on intact.

round two
Chauncer begins round two by taking in a heavy gasp whilst gathering his aquatic energy. Kizu awaits patiently for the attack; when the snapping totodile fires out the explosion of water, the mantis pokémon glides across the ground, narrowly avoiding the attack.

Annoyed, Chauncer waddles over to the landing point of his water attack; grabbing a chunk of wet mud from the otherwise dry land, Chauncer hurls the dirt pile over to the scyther, whom appears to be sketching the attack in her mind. The murky dirt slaps against her face, much to the amusement of Chauncer, and much to the unamusement of Kizu. Know having a grasp on the attack, Kizu clears her eyes slightly, giving her a chance to see.

Her vision cleared up, Kizu reers back before launching herself forward; Chauncer awaits patiently for the attack this time, as a beam of ice is shot towards the scyther. WHAM! (10% – Kizu), once more. The beam of ice crashes directly into Kizu, knocking her off balance and ultimately, unable to attack her foe.

Kizu has a massive headache whilst Chauncey's rage has subsided.

Okay, Kizu. Start off with a Double Team, and end with an Agility and Slash combo.

Chauncer, use Water Gun immediately after Kizu uses her double team, but split it in such a way that (hopefully)hits every single one of those images that are created or as many as you can hit. After that, use your Rage when he attacks you with the Combo and then Rage again.

round three
Round three begins furiously as the scyther, Kizu, closes her eyes, creating five doubles all around the arena, engulfing the tiny totodile. Chauncer doesn't fret, however. He pulls back, and quickly shoots out three small spurts of water, aimed at three specific scyther. The first two rip apart a set of clones, whilst the last one hits Kizu directly (4% – Kizu).

Now knowing where to aim, Chauncey begins to fuel his anger even more. However, the quick mantis immediately darts in like a ninja and slashes the tiny 'gator with her large blade, causing great damage (10% – Chauncer). As the red blood trickles down his features, Chauncer's anger grows uncontrollably; the small water pokémon immediately snaps back twice, doing considerable damage with each successive strike (8% + 8% – Kizu).

Chauncey sports a bad wound, but he's very angry and exhausted; Kizu is now fast like a ninja, and you know what that means? She must hunt pirates, because ninjas hate pirates.

Ok Chaucer, good job so far..

Aim an Icy Wind at Kizu and try to freeze her up a bit to slow her down, then, use your Ice Beam, followed by Rage for your last attack.

Kizu, quickly use Agility to run from the Icy Wind. Use Aerial Ace as a follow up before the Ice Beam could be launched. Finally, we wait patiently until the Chaucer use Rage and hit her with a [b]Counter/b] attack.

round four
The tiny totodile begins the fourth round by casting a mild ice spell. The wind picks up and dances around as ice flails about uncontrollably. The chilling winds are pushed towards the mantis pokémon; she darts away in the same manner as before, gliding across the ground at speeds much faster than the icy winds. Safe enough from the cold winds, Kizu allows her wings to lift her into the air whilst her two saber-like blades glisten in the sunlight. A good few feet in the air, Kizu slashes at the air creating several wind-based missiles, which each slam against Chauncer's torso for minimal damage apiece (9% – Chauncer). The water pokémon cries feintly as he immediately shoots a beam of ice straight for the bug pokémon. Having no time to react, Kizu is immediately struck with the ice beam (12% – Kizu). Her wings begin to frost over, becoming heavier and heavier. She lofts to the ground, unable to use her frozen wings until the ice melts away (some time next round).

Seeing his chance, Chauncer lets his anger continue to act for him as he darts over to the larger pokémon. Breathing in and out heavily, Kizu awaits her rival's approach in a stoic position. As Chauncer collides into the bug pokémon furiously (10% – Kizu), he is shocked to find that Kizu had latched onto his tiny torso using her blades; the scyther smirks, then proceeds to hurl the tiny water pokémon to the ground instantly (15% – Chauncer).

This is the part of the episode where the really cool battle music starts playing (let's change the track to "Toshiro Masuda – The Raising Fighting Spirit").

Kizu, we need to relax while you can’t fly… use Double Team to somehow survive this round. From there, use a double attack of Rage.

Okies Chaucer, same strategy as the last time he used Double Team.. as soon as Kizu finishes it, divide your water gun and hit all the Scythers, destroying the clones and damaging Kizu. Since he can't fly, he'll be alittle slower, so try an Ice punch to further ice up Kizu, and finish with another attack of Rage.

round five
Despite having frozen wings, Kizu is still the faster of the two pokémon. She closes her eyes as several scyther clones flicker into the arena. The young totodile, however, does not fret. Chauncey once more takes a deep breath whilst gathering a jolt of water energy. A second passes, and the tiny crocodile spurts out three collections of water, each aimed at one of the scyther. The first sails through a clone, but the second manages to strike head-on (3% – Kizu), thus destroying all the other clones.

Kizu angrily darts forward as Chauncey holds out his fist, enveloping it in an icy casing. As Kizu angrily slashes the totodile with her blades (9% – Chauncey), the scrappy water pokémon immediately smacks her with his icy fist, causing even more ice to encase her wings (10% – Kizu). Her wings not quite broken free, Kizu once more slashes violently at the totodile (12% – Chauncey), fueling his rage in the process. The totodile begins to feel the strain of his fatigue as he then slams into the large mantis with a lot of force (12% – Kizu).

anyways, use a Mud Slap and splatter Kizu's face and eyes with mud to destroy her eyesight, then relax if you don't have enough energy to fight anymore, then end it with a last Rage.

round six
The battle was nearing completion, and both pokémon knew one anothers faults and strengths. Chauncey had a great deal of health remaining, but lacked energy; Kizu, on the other hand, had a burst of energy, lacking health. Both pokémon glared at one another before starting off their sixth volley of attacks. Chauncey sank his claws into the soft soil below; flinging upwards, the totodile attempted to blind his foe with the mud. Unfortunately, the mantis pokémon darts away with an insane amount of agility easily.

Whilst the totodile sighs and sits back to regain some lost energy, Kizu charges up an incredible display. Calling forth a lot of energy, the scyther fires off the massive beam of hyper energy. It slams into the young 'dile furiously, causing heavy damage (20% – Chauncey). The attack finishes, and Kizu slinks back, exhausted. Chauncey sees his time to strike, and angrily leaps forward, bashing the scyther with most of his remaining energy and rage (13% – Kizu).

Kizu shrills in pain as the last of her health falls; she collapses upon the floor, defeated by the scrappy totodile.
