Arena: Amity Square
Amity Square: Amity Square is a simple dreamy square with a small playground, a large field and some freaky hovels that has lacked human activity for quite some time. Its area is fairly large, quite lengthy with a moderate width. Most of the square consists of large lush fields and hills of grass and flowers. As everyone who had played Diamond and Pearl may know, only “cute” and “small” Pokemon are allowed in Amity Square so one of the arena’s special rules is that you may allow use Pokemon that are unevolved and have an evolution (so Bulbasaur is okay while Zangoose or Charizard are not). There are not many onlookers except fellow trainers and their “cute” Pokemon. If attacks go haywire and nearly hit one of the onlookers, intentionally and/or unintentionally, then the Pokemon (or if it nearly hit a human, the human’s Pokemon) will use its strongest attack on the Pokemon who the attack came from.
Parts of the park are paved with a gravel surface and lying on the outskirts is a earthy terrain leading to a wooded area. A pair of swings sit close to the outskirts of the park. Four pairs of swings hang down from it's wooden exterior. Nearby lies a tilted merry-go-round. This metallic disk consisting of a cross hatching of sturdy handles still stands fairly strong, but it's obvious time has done its toll to the aged structure. Upon the left stretch of this park lies a set of swings designed for the younger children. Only two pairs hang freely from the suspended metal bar. The right side of this park possesses some markings within the grass and dust which indicate previous structures which has once stood there, no removed from the premises. Also, on the earthy terrain, are a few small hovels which a Pokemon could possibly hide in. Around the bottom of Amity Square lies its entrance along with an aged sign warning citizens to play at their own risk, but to have a good time. A power line runs extended from one side of the park to the other.
Anyone creative enough to ref the Amity Square Arena may do so and any opponent who can use the "small" Pokemon efficiently may be my guest.

You can send out first, if you don't mind. XP
Sure. In that case, I'll use Norris, the male tyrogue.

Then I choose my Female Totodile, Fang! Water Pulse into an immediate Ice Beam as soon as Tyrogue comes out of his pokeball! Then Dig out of the way of danger's harm immediately if you sense any danger. If not, just Dragon Dance up.
Very aggressive, huh, Norris? Let's see what we can do with a little offense of our own.
When fang opens up her mouth to spit out a water pulse, I want you to leap into action and get in there with a mach punch before she can send anything your way. Smack her with a lightning-fast uppercut to the lower jaw so that her head snaps back and the water pulse flies wild.
Now that you're in close and she's dazed from the punch, get around behind her and grab her around the neck with a strength attack. Stick to her no matter what--you're over twice her height and weight, so it shouldn't be hard to restrain her, and as long as you're behind her (and choking her) she won't be able to get an ice beam off at you.
Keep hanging onto her; she won't be able to dig or dragon dance as long as she's in your grasp. Discourage any struggling by slamming a brick break into the back of her head while keeping her firmly in your grasp with the other arm.
Good luck, Norris!
Mach Punch ~ Strength ~ Brick Break (and continue holding)

Amity Square is having an absolutely lovely and perfectly pleasurable sunny afternoon. The few high strung locals are out and about with their just darling pokemon, as a few of their children giggle and frolic about to play. However, within this little square of serenity and bliss are two trainers who have decided to put their youngster pokemon to the test. Winged Follower and her absolutely ravishing Totodile had been challenged by Negrek and her positively admirable Tyrogue. Slightly appalled that the two trainers were disrupting a perfectly dashing and lovely day, a few of the spectators moved away from the grassy field area in which the trainers were most near.
Norris came out of his pokeball first, his body moving slightly in a fighting stance as Fang immediately appeared after. Almost instantly Fang opened her mouth and summoned up a powerful ball of water, straight at Norris. Norris quickly charged at Fang, using his speed to try to reach Fang before the attack was unleashed. However, Fang managed to pull off firing a large ball of water a second before Norris could hit her. The ball of water scathed him slightly as he came upwards and knocked Fang in the jaw.

The water pulse caused Norris to have a slight dizziness in his head for a moment, allowing Totodile to whimper slightly at its hurt jaw as it took a few stumbling steps backwards. Feeling rather angery, Fang began charging up for its ice attack. Realizing what was about to happen, Norris quickly used strength to tackle Fang to the ground. A miss fire of Ice Beam when up into the air as Norris tackled Fang, causing the Ice to harmlessly fire off into the air and clip a tree, freezing it like a popsicle.

Feeling the cling of Norris, Fang paniced by having the larger pokemon on top of him. Frenzying into a dig, Fang began clawing at Norris before spinning his body around like a good crocodile can do and digging wildly into the ground. Seeing that Fang was getting away, Norris gathered energy within his hand and swung it down at Fang. However, the slight confusion of being clawed in the face and front caused him to miss Fang’s tail as he disappeared into the ground.

Thanks much for the reffing. ^^ A question, though: where exactly are we in relation to the swings/merry-go-round/etc.? Basically, what part of the park are we in now, and what sort of terrain is in the immediate surroundings?

You're in the grassy opening, like more of a lawn-styled area with flowers. The trees surround half of the area, while the other half has more of the activity you described (such as swings, park benches etc...).

(( All right, thanks. ))
Okay, good start, Norris. Now, with our opponent underground, let's see what we can do.
Try to make it over to one of the park benches and climb on before Fang resurfaces; that way, when he tries to come up underneath you, he'll bang his head on the underside of the seat instead of striking you like he'd hoped. Even if he does manage to dig through the earth faster than you can run over the ground, you'll have the high ground for the next part of the battle.
If Fang tries to join you on the bench, use a rapid spin to knock him off again or, alternatively, deflect a projectile attack he might try to use against you instead. Otherwise, smack him around with some vacuum waves.
On the other hand, if he hasn't resurfaced yet and decides to remain underground, bulk up while you're waiting for him to reappear.
Get on park bench ~ Rapid Spin / Vacuum Wave / Bulk Up x2

The attack orering in this place is so much more complex than the SPPF League ones. O.O;;; AT least I'll be able to order attaack combos that are considered illegal on SPPF here (over there they're much stricter on complex move combos and using ambigious words like "if" XP)
Fang's a girl BTW, XP
Okie dokie. Firstly, Fang do not, I repeat, do NOT follow Norris. Follow him for a while but when he stops and hear him jump on a bench, DON'T dig up- keep digging until you're around two-three meters away from the benches then pop-up. As soon as you pop up Screech him before he can use those vaccum waves and while he's distracted, smack him with a Hydro Pump smack in the face.
Finish off with Rain Dance.
If Norris uses a Vaccum Wave before you Screech and distract him (Though it's unlikely though since all Fang has to do is open her mouth and scream. XD) then Hydro Pump Norris with all your anger and Ice Beam him while he's nice n' wet. You might even freeze him a lot. XD
Dig away from Norris and DON'T pop up until you're three meters away from the benches- Screech/Hydro Pump/Rain Dance

Get on park bench – rapid spin – vacuum wave – bulk up X 2
Screech – Hydro Pump – Rain dance
Norris felt panicked as he ran as swiftly as he could to the nearest park bench, worried that at any moment the little totodile would pop up. Relief soon overcame him however as he got to the bench, but he quickly stared down at the ground to see if any little pokemon was about to pop up. Soon Fang popped up, grinning with her sharp little teeth as she opened up her mouth to give a loud screech. However, Norris’s reaction time and sight made him see the water pokemon and react swiftly. Bringing forth his fist he channeled a wave of energy at the totodile, hitting the little pokemon just as it let out a little screech into the air. Norris had finished his attack however, although his hands were now over his ears as he teetered a bit at hearing the piercing sounds.
(- 3 E, -5 HP) (
- 6 E)
Feeling pretty peeved at its hurt ears, Norris began to concentrate and prepare to release another Vacuum wave. Meanwhile, Fang narrowed her eyes and shook off the damage she had taken and instead began to prepare herself for a hydro pump. Norris however was quicker and soon had released a familiar wave of fighting energy at the water pokemon. Not allowing itself to be so easily taken however, Fang shot out a blast of water straight at the fighting pokemon. The force was enough to knock Norris off the bench and land in the little pebbles that aligned the playground. Totodile was also hit by the vacuum wave, but being stuck in the dirt still allowed her to stay in place.
(- 7 E, - 5 HP) (
- 5 E, - 10 H)
Norris got to his feet, noticing the distance between the two. Once again he summoned up another vacuum wave with his energy, but the repeated attacks were a bit of a wear upon his energy. Fang was once again hit by the channeled waves, but she ducked into her hole a little bit to avoid major damage. Sitting there with her head half-way out of the ground, she focused her energy as clouds began to form in the sky and it began to rain- making many of the observers in the park annoyed and head towards shelter.

Ref’s Notes
1.) Vacuum wave always strikes first, just in case that was unclear.
2.) Norris is now by the playground while Fang is about five yards away, in a grassy area and not by the pebbled playground.

winged_follower's ignored my correspondence with regards to this battle, so I'd call him DQ'd.
Plus he hasn't been around here in forever, in any event.
