Ultimate Charizard Vs Saffire Persian. Ref: Vermillion

[Ultimate Charizard]

Looking for a standard 3v3 battle. (ie 1 at a time)
Banned Moves: Rest, Recover
Notes: Id like the Ref to be a little lenient on the old Energy Drain(Too many battles ending in exhaustion). and high (but not rediculously so) on the damage since its a full 3v3. Make it a quick one.

[b]Arena: UC's Quarry

A Large 'pit' made from an abandoned open air quarry with a dirt floor littered with rocks and boulders.
On one side of the arena is a small lake, formed from rainwater. The entire arena is surrounded by rock cliffs that are soft enough to dig through but may crumble easily so be carefull.

Opponent can send out First and ill attack first.

Ok, lets show them were not messing around. Start off with Toxic then follow up with a Headbutt. End things with Iron Defence.

All right, Serafina, it may be your first battle, but lets show him and that Aron that we're not pushovers.

Lets try to dodge that Toxic first. There's plenty of room to run around, and Aron isn't a fast creature, so keep moving. Try to dodge that Toxic with a Double Team and keep far away from him. It'll also give you more time to attempt to dodge that Headbutt once he comes running. Next, follow up with a Water Pulse - it'll do some nice damage and perhaps confuse him if it hits. Finish up with Mimic to copy and use Aron's Iron Defense to your benefit.

Intro

A gently breeze ripples the lake that resides in this familiar area. The Quarry, own by the challenger Ultimate Charizard, is the signature place of battle for him. Simple yet complex, standard yet not so, it is a very nominal place to be. Saffire Persian waits patiently on her side of the field, a small Meowth rubbing her leg. UC appears from his makeshift hut and nods to his opponent, sending forth a tiny steel quadruped. The wind pick up and all is silent as the match commences…

The spunky kitten growls and hisses at her steel opponent. Faster than a blinking eye, Serafina glow a soft white and instantly she surrounds Aron in clones, five to be exact. Thoroughly confused as which cat is the true one, Aron spits forth hot venom to his immediate right. The acidic substance splashes upon two clones, reducing them to nothing and saving Sera’.

With a defensive advantage, the Meowth casually takes a deep breath and gathers liquid energy to her mouth. The 3 clones do this maneuver as well to keep their opponent guessing. Aron grumble and shift in all directions….who is fake and who is real he wonders? Slamming his head in the ground to clear his mind he charges head first right in front of him. With the luck of the Gods on his side he pummels the feline, startling her to release her blast harmlessly into the Cliffside.

Serafina lands with an unceremonious “Thud” and glares at the Steel/Rock type, who grins and closes his eyes. A silver sheen envelops Aron and a soft creaking is heard as his body become much denser. Serafina sits up and studies this technique and absorbs the knowledge through sight alone, can anyone say Sharingan? She also glows and coats herself in pure hardened metal, becoming a “Metal Serafina” of sorts, this shall prove to be interesting…

Okay, Serafina, lets try this again - I know it won't be as easy to move with that metal coat as it normally would, but keep in mind that'll be the same from the Aron, too. Hopefully with that metal coat on, it'll at least make it harder for you to be poisoned, as Steel-types resistant and you're now covered in a metal coat like he is.

Anyway, try to to keep to a side of him (nearer the back end) and use Water Pulse , coat his whole body in water. Next, follow up with a blast of Icy Wind . This'll lower his body temperature at least, and will likely make him a bit stiff so he can't move quite so fast. Finish off with Sing , they say you always feel a bit more sleepy when cold.

If by some chance he digs underground (not if he digs into the side of a rock cliff), use Rain Dance to make the earth soggy and muddy and hopefully harder to dig through.

Steel and Pseudo-Steel lock eyes and adjust themselves for the next round which Sera’ starts by launching another water sphere of energy. It flies and impacts with Aron and he is flung away, and like the copy cat he is he attempts to absorb the technique but as he does the secondary effect of Water Pulse kicks in, dreaded confusion.

In his little murky, muddled world Aron ponders, if being a copy cat that…copies a cat..is like one of those “If a Tree Falls in the woods, Sound of One Hand Clapping” Zen riddles…ANYWAY…Aron stares at the sky and the clouds suddenly appear to be a Meowth and in his confusion he spits his water straight into the sky only to have it splash back onto him. Sera’ guffaws at this spectacle and easily slams her foe with a chilling blast of air from her mouth.

Aron shivers and wobbles about, unable to concentrate on his next action. Suddenly his ears pick up an enchanting melody, sounding of sweet angel hymns. Serafina purrs a song of slumber of her metallic throat and as easy as 1…2…3…Aron is out like a light…

The stupid thing i just noticed is that Aron already knows Water pulse so dunno why i tried to mimic it.....

Sleep isnt good, but when you can use Sleep Talk its not all bad. If you should wake up however use Attract on that Kitty and once its Attracted use Mud Slap!

All right, Serafina, lets try and avoid the possible Attract, shall we? If you would, please set up a Medium-sized Substitute (about 15% HP), before he can start Sleep Talking and then proceed to use Water Pulse to your heart's content. However, lets put a little strategy with it. When that Aron opens his mouth to talk, send out that Water Pulse. Aim for his head, of course, but aim low enough that you can get the high-pressured water into his mouth. That should make Sleep Talking very difficult with all that water -- you usually can't talk while drinking. If he wakes up, he'll (maybe, depends how confused he is) use Attract, but fail repeatedly as he's trying to woo your Meowth clone.

A snort and quiet murmurs escape Aron’s lips but Sera’ pays no mind. She bares down and meows loudly, expressing a golden light. The energy leaps from her feline frame and lands in front of her, molding into a perfect shadow clone jutsu. Suddenly, the little metal beast springs up and rolls at high speed to barrel into the Sub.

Aron ends his Roll Out into sleep again and he speaks unconsciously just as the clone stands up, ready for more. He finishes his spell and leap up and bellows a mighty roar but it is instantly drowned out by a Water Pulse down the throat.

The feeling of drowning snaps Aron out of his sleep and he groggily sees Sera’ standing with a grin and he sticks to his plan ,playfully cooing at the sub…she keeps a thousand yard stare which breaks his heart that is Attraction failed. The true Meowth rolls her eyes and blasts Aron with more water power…

All right, Serafina, you're doing a fine job so far. We still have a tiny bit of Substitute left, so lets take the chance to confuse him a bit. First, make sure you keep a good distance between you and Iron, and have your back facing that water pond/lake whatever. This will help you more easily dodge physical contact attacks once the Substitute is finished off (Keep your Substitute away from you), and protect you slightly against a possible Earthquake, as the 'quake is always strongest at its epicenter, which would be Aron.

This time we'll start with a slightly more powerful water attack so use a Bubblebeam on Aron to slow him down, do damage, and distract him a bit. Bubbles can often be distracting. Who knows, it might keep him from attacking the Substitute once.

Meh, I digress. Once you have preformed that, use another Water Pulse and end with a Water Pulse . Aim both at the side of his head, not straight on; however if he tries to act all "Cute"(AKA Attract) again when the Substitute is demolished, or if he's close enough to hit you with Toxic and attempts to, Taunt him and make him change his mind.

Start with an Earthquake, shouldnt be too hard and then Set up a Sandstorm. She Might have copied your defence but that Meowth still isnt a Steel type.

No one likes being soggy and miserable, but Aron has no choice as this feline keeps laying the splash down upon him. Though his mind is in a tizzy of confusion, a brief moment of clarity hit’s him to focus on his attacks. Serafina readies another water attack, this time opting for slippery bubbles, but her knees buckles from the radical quake Aron creates, smashing the ground with his feet. The Meowth can’t focus her attack and it sails to the left, missing completely.

The Subsitute can hardly stand and cracks softly, leaking golden light, which causes Aron to question if what he sees is an illusion or not! Sera’ has to act fast and with that she charges another pulsating water blast. She aims carefully and lets it fly at Aron, who’s confusion returns and stupidly charges head on at the clone. He smashes it into bits but good but he is repaid for his feet with a Water Pulse to his head.

Sera’ can only gloat at how well things are going for her, new metal finish, dominating the opposition and looking good while doing it. She gathers the favored attack of the day in her jaws and aims again but as she looks on something is happening to Aron! His veil of confusion lifts for a second and he feels an animalistic rage build with in him. A murky black aura surround him and fills his eyes with jet malice, he roars and rushes at the feline. Sera fires and strikes Aron true but that only slows him down a bit, he keeps on his rampage and collides with all her strength to send Serafina reeling into the Cliffside. With his emotions vented, Aron pants softly and readies himself for more, so much for over confidence…

All right, Serafina, you've done a great job to far, as has the Aron. It's time to finish this.

An Earthquake's coming, of course. So aim carefully, jump, and unleash a Bubblebeam at the opponent. Jumping may be a bit awkward, but with good aiming, you should be able to do it, and it'll prevent you from feeling the Earthquake to knock you off balance while you attack, even if you do get hurt when you land.

If that doesn't finish him off, then he'll be coming at you with Endeavor, and we both know that would not be a good move to have hit you. So heighten you senses and dodge it with Detect . And if he does come at you, that means he's still living, so when you dodge with detect, go to the side and immediately blast him with Water Pulse to finish him off.

Aron bears down and rids himself of the dizzying trauma to slam the ground with another monumental Earthquake. This time, Sera smartens up and leaps as she feels the first tremors and arcs her self downward to blasts her sudsy technique. The tightly pack glowing bubbles drive Aron into the ground and finish him off instantly. She lands with a heavy metal “Thunk” and lowers her self in a fighting stance…

With a sullen sigh, the Aron is returned to his pokeball and a soft “Thank You” is whispered from his trainer. To avenge his comrade, UC throws a Fast Ball to the dusty surface, releasing a tall, blade wielding mantis. Serafina spits and hisses at this new opponent and inhales deeply to conjure arctic winds to slow down the speedy Scyther. Speed being the optimal word for the insect, Scyther spits venom from his lips which streaks at high speed to smack Sera’ in the face. The Toxic clogs her mouth, leaving her Icy Wind with nowhere to go.

Scyther takes the defensive route and focuses his mind to know all his surroundings, even the tiniest gust of air doesn’t escape him. The feline finishes pawing the gunk from her face, the damage already present, and spark wildly in brilliant glory. She screeches and releases a fleeting orange bolt which targets Scyther. His senses pick up the bolt and he jukes left to dodge easily, but to his dismay, Shockwave has a hidden heat seeking ability, causing the attack to 180 and strike him in the back.

Serafina’s eyes sparkle with a power unknown even to her and while her opponent is slightly dazed from the last attack, she rips a beam which is tinged a light blue. It hits Scyther square in the chest and a suddenly drowsiness over takes him. With his movement’s slowing down he falls to the ground asleep…

Aw not again, why do i keep getting put to sleep. Knew i should have used Protect instead of Detect!

Well since we have no choice just use Sleep Talk, at least it will keep her guessing.
If you do wake up then just go for some damage and use a Slash attack and follow with a Secret power of your own!

All right, Serafina, lets do this right, shall we? First, use Torment on Scyther to keep him from doing repetitive moves, that should keep him from Sleep Talking the second round if he's still asleep. Use that chance to charge up a Thunder attack and use it on him. He's not going anywhere. Finish off with another sure fire Shockwave .

However, if by some chance he uses a Double Team during his sleep, use Rain Dance. That should help you be able to tell who the real fake is -- the rain may or may get rid of the clones, but you should be able to tell the difference as the rain will go through the clones instead of landing on the Scyther, like the rain would a real one. If that happens, follow it up with a Thunder attack.

The blissfully sleeping mantis murmurs in his dreamy state, which is what Serafina wants. She begins her Tomenting spell but she doesn’t have time to even speak as she is bashed away with a Quick Attack!

As if nothing had happened, Scyther falls back to the ground, dreaming away and talking to himself. Serafina rights her self up and glares harshly, sparking with electric radiance far stronger than before. She screeches and fires her massive thunderbolt which slams into Scyther, although he doesn’t notice because of the Light Screen absorbing the attack to its fullest. His shield cracks from the powerful attack but holds on as Scyther stirs and awakens

Staggering on drowsy legs, Scyther rushes forth, blade held back to deliver a slash to the feline, still recovering from the Thunder technique. Reeling with a loud scrape from her metal body , Serafina rips another tracking bolt which hits Scyther in his chest again with perfect accuracy. Her defenses saved her from a horrible laceration, but her body is wearing thin…

All righty, lets get some last minute damage in while we can.

First, Taunt that mantis into coming towards you. Hopefully he won't need much incentive. Then, just as he flies toward you, vanish with Faint Attack . Wait until the opportune moment, come behind him, and hit him with the attack - don't slam into him, just settle for striking him quickly and finishing up with Facade . You might as well use that poison status to your advantage.

Fair enough, they want us to attack then lets do it!
Since its attacks only thanks to taunt, it doesnt mean we still cant go for a stat boost.
Start with a Silver Wind while its Taunting and when it dissappears for Faint attack use Pursuit. If you can follow something being returned to a pokeball then im sure you can track Meowth down.
Finally, brace yourself but let it hit you with Facade, its boosted attack should work really well when you turn it around on them with Counter!

Sleepy but not finished Scyther yawns loudly as a few choice words fill his head. The feline eggs the mantis on to strike head on and he sleepily grins to give her what she wants. Fluttering his wings rapidly, a gust of winds blows, laced with silver bug energy to smash into Sera’ and blow her into the cliff side again.

Scyther suddenly coats himself in an inky blackness from head to toe and keeps a firm eyes on Serafina. She gets up and fades away like a dream into her surrounds for a sneak attack, but the crafty bug feels her every movement and rushes her with a dark tackle! Sera bounces upon the ground and groans softly.

Nothing seems to be going well for our favorite cat, so she opts using her affliction to her advantage. Concentrating on the poisons within, she glows with a liquidized violet aura and leaps to strike Scyther. He in turn howls his name and glow a deep crimson to freeze Sera’ in mid air and fling her away like a rag doll to the earth…

You've done your best, so don't worry about what happens next. Nevertheless, lets see if we can hold on for the rest for just a little bit longer. With your metal coat, you should be able to withstand the slash. So Relax to gain back as much energy as possible. For your last action (Because you'll very likely get knocked out by the swift) use Toxic before he can use Swift - spit it out as fast as you can. All right, Vega, lets start out flying. Try to keep your body against the sun, so if Scyther tries to locate you, he'll have trouble with that blinding sunlight.

First, while you're up there, begin with an Air Cutter followed by a Swift then another Air Cutter .

If our little bug friend tries to use Swords Dance, Safeguard, Substitute, or Attract Taunt him into doing otherwise. ^^ If he tries Double Team, wipe 'em out with Swift.

A crimson beam races to returned the fallen Meowth, but he presence is quickly replaced by a creature much larger than she. With the hot sun glinting off her metal plumage, Vega squawks in readiness and flaps her heavy wings to get airborne. Scyther narrows his eyes at the Skarmory and waits for her to make the first move, which comes in a sharp blast of slicing air! With all his might, Scyther disappears at light speed to dodge the attack.

Speed will not help the mantis as Vega goes for heat seeking tactics. From her beak she sprays a barrage of shuriken that easily slash into Scythers body. He staggers and finds his footing and an orange glow fills his mouth. The beam of secret power strikes Vega, paralyzing her instantly and she waivers in the sky.

Her joint lock up and the bird falls like…well….a heavy metal object…into the ground and dents it hard. Scyther in the mean time calls to the sun to heal his wounds, glowing with warming light…

Good work with the Paralysis to bring it down.
Go for a Silver wind, i know it wont damage much but there is the chance of a stat boost. Then follow that with a Steel Wing.
End things off by setting up a Light Screen.

All righty - the Silver Wind won't do much, so you should be able to hold it. So wait until the Bug does Silver Wind, and try a Toxic to poison him. That should make him regret paralyzing you. Next, when he comes with that Steel Wing, which again, you are resistant to, hit him with a Drill Peck when the time comes. It doesn't require much movement, so you should be okay. Next that Scyther should be setting up his light screen, so if for some reason you couldn't poison him that round, try to Toxic him again. If you have, lets summon up a nice Sandstorm .
