[color=magenta]In Emerald, you can get Ditto after beating the Elite 4. Go to the Fossil Maniac's house, which is on Route 115, which is directly to the left of Fallarbor Town. There should now be a passage in the back of the room behind the house, go through there to get to the Desert Underpass. Inside, you will encounter wild Ditto, along with Whismur and Loudred. Make sure to go all of the way through to the end of the Underpass, because the fossil that you didn't take from the Mirage Tower will be laying down there.
