Default The wild glitchdom... Is It safe???

I noticed a lot of people say gamesharks, cloning tricks and other things aren't safe, so here I figured I would do all that stuff, and log down what happens... So here is my Gameshark tests and results

G/Shark review: This was very amazing I sharked some pokes used cheat to level up my pokes to 100 and everything, but after doing so some obvious glitches did take place. For one on any move name or pokemon ha the first letters as 99. Also using the catch anything cheat I caught a trainer, and along with him I got a first class ticket to a modernized glitch city, complete with no way out and a yes or no question that was blurs that froze my game instantly! Also when in battles with the G/shark on the HP bars froze and moved around forever until you turned the shark off. Those were some of the mild effects. Now to get to the more serious effects/defects. One seemingly amazing cheat came up! "Walk through walls cheat" I used it frequently testing out walking through areas, the game froze anytime when you step out of an area the game didn't have data for. Also note when walking through a wall with no data in it and having the game not freeze did seriou glitchyness. It caused all the pixels but yours to turn black. Also every step you took land developed around you til you walked into a nonexistant area, in which you froze. Then for a really strange little test I started a new game and through walls with no pokemon and beat the elite four. Whenever you fight a pokemon without any pokemon the game flashes, same with trainers. So I defeated the elite four with 0 seen 0 caught. Then I saved it took on red and saved again. Turned it back on... Here is the biggest worst defect of them all....

There was no color, The characters moved faster than regular and the music was royally screwed up. Restart same results, restart, same results. Then I develop Pokerus with no pokemon and the games characters start to turn into weird things, AKA Sudoowodo turned into a pixel of me. Talk to Elm and he tells me to select a pokemon, talk to him again I get am S.S. ticket. at this point in the game There was no turning back. It was screwed up permanently... Among other destructive effects of just inputting the walk through walls cheat is constant glitchiness of people disappearing, your character disappearing etc. Really though all around G/shark was very defective and glitchy. If you feel like breaking a cartridge then yes, by all means use one, you might not even have any trouble. But remember that doing something the game didn't want me to do confused and in the end destroyed the game...

FRYLOCK'S BOTTOM LINE: NOT SAFE, OR RECOMMENDABLE!!

Next test.... Duplication, how many times will I do it before I destroy a game!!!

[i]good study man. see this is why i don't like gameshark (its right up there with my dislike of rare candies)... you just start using codes and bam! there goes all your hard work down the drain. oh well, hopefully people will learn from your report frylock and kids from all the generations will stop using their gameshark's lest their games become permanently damaged.

I know about five naive kids who direly need to see this. I'm printing it out as soon as I get my printer hooked back up. Way to do such a great public service for those who don't understand the problems inherent with cheating.

But out of curiosity... do you really want to destroy your own game cartridges? Don't you think that you might want to use them again another time? I mean, it's great what you're doing, but... is sacrificing yourself really what you want?

I own the game (as in I bought the cartridge) and I'm using an emulator on my computer so that I don't destroy my game, I figured this would be an exact way to help show the benefits (there are some) and losses of using a cheating device. ALso this emulation would have the same effects as using an cheating device on a cartridge.

THE WILD GLITCHDOM PART 2... (cloning)

My neighbor always clones off totodiles and gives me them. So now I go to test it out, I start a new game and catch a pidgey and start cloning totodile.
First clone: No more totodiles no less totodiles
    2nd clone: same results.
    3rd clone: same results...
I decided I'd clone pidgey instead...
1st clone: Pidgey is gone, no more pidgey... I think that says enough. I didn't feel like crashing the game, since that proves enough. When you clone you have a chance to end up losing your pokemon, you canerase it just as easily as you clone it!

    CLONING IS IT SAFE... NO!

Hmm... what cloning trick were you using? Everyone I've seen has always gotten pretty consistent success with their techniques, even though it glitched their games to kingdom come. Could it have anything to do with using an emulator rather than an actual cartridge?
