I was at Best Buy the other day and picked up the box and read the back.
As soon as I read "Sk8er Boi" I put that shit back down faster than I had ever put shit back down before.
This is an incredible game for the DS. I've had it for under a week and already want to call it best of 2006.
I generally dislike rhythm titles, but this one is excellent. Buy it. You won't regret it.

Yes, because one song of 20 or so spoils the whole product. I will admit, I almost failed that mission initially because the lyrics had me dumbfounded and threw off my rhythm.
It has Y.M.C.A. though, and that has to count for something. And if it makes you feel better, most of the shitty songs have covers that are superior to the originals.
Please let us not forget 'La La', if you're mentioning songs like Sk8ter Boi. *cringes* Sad person that I am, I enjoyed the La La stage, sexy white blood cell nurse and all. And the bloody song grew on me while I was playing and replaying like a madwoman trying to unlock the stage with the Divas in it.
All things considered, yes, this IS a good game.
Go get Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!! Ouendaaaaan! It's the Japanese version of EBA. Same cheesy WTFness, same sheer addictiveness.
I will be getting Ouendan, because more is better. But the music really isn't all that much better than EBA, and EBA has superior stories to its eastern counterpart.
I'd like to see characters from both franchises in one single game for the sequel.
It's awsome, I've been hooked since getting it at Christmas and I actually think I broke my DS Lite by too much playing. I just don't have any luck with these machines...

I got the game for Christmas. It's pretty fun, sadly I am stuck on the last level on the easiest difficulty.

CHOMP~
You're not alone. The three consecutive spinning parts midway through the second song in the last level always kill me even when I am flawless up to that point. The meter just goes down way too fast to keep up with through so many consecutive spinny parts.
Great game though. Wish it didn't get so impossible and out of rhythm on harder/later songs.
