I accept. My new Rotom could use a warm-up battle before moving on to the big leagues (i.e., Gym Battles).

So, come out, Psycho Plasm! I choose you!

(hurls Poke Ball; a violet spherical creature surrounded by bolts of electricty pops out)

    "Rooooootom..."

Now, who goes first, Elf Boy?

No prob, Elf - thank YOU for finally giving me an opponent to battle against.

Now, Psycho Plasm, here's our plan:

Start off by creating a very weak Substitute, so Kitsune Chan's Foresight locks onto that instead of you, and then stop him in his tracks with a Shock Wave. Finish by meeting his Blaze Kick with your own scorching attack - Thunderbolt him!

    Moves: Substitute, Shock Wave, Thunderbolt

    Riot By Three Days Grace
    If you feel so empty
So used up, so let down
    If you feel so angry
So ripped off, so stepped on

The sun… Its angelic rays turn to devilish pitchforks as it gazes down from the heavens, stabbing into the flesh of man and Pokemon alike, making them feel the searing heat. All around, you see sand dunes, taller then any building, wider then any ocean. They reflect the sun, making the heat boil at the dusty surface of each golden hill. But that’s not where out battle is taking place… A brilliant light shoots over the sand dune, spinning and twirling as if out of control while it dives, revealing that a large barren canyon splits this desert in two. The crack is wide, with sharp, dagger-like boulders and rocks jutting out from the ground. The light rushes towards the ground, splitting into three within a split second before hitting the ground.
Each ball forms into a person. One’s a girl, who grins happily before taking a seat on a small boulder that seems to have had the top chopped off to form an ideal stool. The others, both men, go to either side of the wide canyon.

“Ready?” The girl smiles, watching them both nod, she throws her hand into the air. “Go!”

Two Pokemon materialize onto the field. One is a small blue and black Pokemon with floppy ears and a wide grin; it’s a Riolu, one of the new Diamond and Pearl creatures to be introduced to the ASB world.
The other is a… Odd Pokemon at best… It has an orange body similar to Castform, only that wild electrical energy sparks and is constantly moving to adapt to its changing environment. A Rotom: an odd ghost, electric combination.

Kitsune Chan, the Riolu, doesn’t waste anytime. He concentrates, his eyes slowly changing to a bright red hue before the energy they gathered shoots off. It scans the entire field, even little Kitsune, who turns his attention to the duel Rotom’s that his foresight picked up. Unfortunately, Substitute counts as an illusion, though a very good one. It explodes, and Psycho Plasm is left quite open.

Despite this, the ghost type isn’t at all upset. Nor is it intimidated when the little Riolu gains a boost in speed. It watches the little Pokemon intently before its sparking body goes insane! The sparks farthest from its body turn yellow and shoot across the field, much in the form of a wave. It sweeps across and around the boulders until it strikes the little fighter. Who yelps in surprise but is otherwise fine.

But now its time for a shadow down… Kitsune Chan leaps onto one of the boulders and hangs there for a second, his foot and soon leg blazing like an inferno as he stares down the odd ghost Pokemon. Who seems to be sparking even crazier then before as the dog Pokemon leaps off the rock, his burst in speed giving him a slight advantage.
But inches from Psycho Plasm, a bolt of wildly lightning shoots from the sparking-wonder. And both Pokemon end up stumbling back, in pain.

OK, Psycho Plasm, we've got an early lead; let's keep it that way.

Start off with an Ominous Wind to blow Kitsune Chan away, and then Charge your batteries. Then, DIScharge them.

Ok keep up the good work Kitsune, start by using your speed to get in a shadow claw to beat up Rotom, Then while its charging up hit it with a Toxic. Lastly use Detect to avoid the big discharge.

    You're not the only one
    So get up…!

Kitsune Chan kicks this round off with his burst of speed. He’s already recovered from the tremendous shock Psycho Plasm gave him last round, bounding around on the boulders and rocks, a dark, haunting energy beginning to wrap itself around his paw. The sparking ghost type doesn’t seem bother, and its own body begins to ‘move’, the electrical field turning to a deep purple and black as it begins to summon its only ghostly attack.
But speed has the advantage here; Kitsune leaps right off a pillar to the left of the electric type and swipes at it. The ghost energy that has surrounded its paws shifts into three, sickle-sharp claws that easily slice through the static field and cut into the Rotom. Who lets out a higher-pitched moan in annoyance.
In retaliation it seems, a wind sweeps down from the desert, its tinted black, and even seems to form something of a skull shape before it wraps itself around the fighting type and blows him back, dealing some damage.

Taking this chance, Rotom allows the dark sparks which summoned the ominous wind to go before he starts charging. The sparks around him turn to bolts of lightning which crackle and strike the ground various times. Rotom’s body begins to absorb some of the excess, raising his resistance to ‘big bad’ special attacks. Unfortunately, as Riolu spits a glob of purple, bubbling goo, Psycho Plasm’s body ends up absorbing a nasty toxic poison as well.

But now those sparks on Rotom grow wilder, the ghost type is daring to use another electric attack after he’s charged! The power of the attack would be double, a horrible surprise from Riolu if he doesn’t catch onto it. But Kitsune has tapped into the future, his sense go wild as images of Rotom with an evil grin fires out a massive attack that shrouds his vision for a moment. The last image he sees is himself, lying on the ground, his muscles paralyzed beyond par. At that instant, he opens his eyes, seeing the same evil grin on the ghost type’s face. Allowing his flight instinct to overwhelm his fight, Riolu leaps towards a large stone boulder, and, looking somewhat like a dog version of spider man, crawls to the other side.

The next instance, the field is as bright as the sun.

Psycho Plasm floats there, quite content with itself, though it is appalled with a perfectly normal Kitsune Chan bounds over the top of the pillar and lands about ten feet away: untouched by the massive electric attack. The dog even has enough nerve to wave, a smile plastered on his face.

Alright, Psycho Plasm... They wanna use status attacks? We'll do the same.

First, slow that mutt down to a crawl with Thunder Wave, and then floor him with a Thunder attack. End the round by waiting for him to come at you to Crunch you, and then, when he opens his mouth, give him a taste of YOUR Toxic. And I mean taste...

If he's too Paralyzed to Crunch you, then just launch the Toxic at him like normal.

Seemingly unparallel in speed, Kitsune Chan rushes in again, the familiar ghostly goodness forming around his paw. Rotom makes note of the attack, and charges up a quick, and rather light static charge. As the fighter bounds onto the ground and makes a direct assault, the electric type lets the static fly! It makes the Riolu’s fur stand on end, and suddenly, he isn’t feeling too good. Despite this, he slashes his enemy, and watches it moan and float back abit.

Kitsune prepares his next attack, but alas! With an unlucky roll of the die, his muscles tense. They refuse to move, making the fighter collapse onto his knees as he strains to fight the electric hold on his tendons. With hatred burning in his eyes he looks up as Psycho Plasm, who, with a sadistic grin on its face begins to charge up a much larger attack.
The Rotom lets out a shrill cry as the wildly lighting that has been going insane around its body arches into a single bolt and flies towards Riolu, who lets out a half cry as his paralysis kicks into over drive and renders him on the ground. Pained, and frozen.

The fates cast the die again, and Riolu finds himself stuck on the ground. The thunder has given his new ailment godly strength and his muscles refuses to loosen. He can barely breathe as his thundery opponent looms over him. The static round its fragile body clearing for only an instant so that a glob of familiar purple goo splashes onto Kitsune Chan, and then seeps in…
