I'd figured I'd take another crack at this. Thankfully, I can still remember my team.

A town square in the middle of a downpour. There is a large fountain in the middle, a couple of benches along the edge as well as the occassional streetlamp. There is a permanant Rain Dance in effect.

I'll send out first, the opponant attacks first. I will choose Rhoas! Come on out!

Hmm, well, I think I'd like to play you. However, is there any way I could get more description of the arena? Specifically, I'm wondering how large the fountain is and how it's constructed, as well as if there are any storm drains or manholes (open or otherwise) in the square.

The fountain is constructed of concrete, consisting of three basins on top of eachother. There are a four storm drains, each north, south, east and west of the fountain.

Sounds good, sounds good. In that case, I'll use Kudzu, my grovyle.

Okay, Kudzu. Start off with an agility to jazz yourself up and dodge any attacks that might come your way from Rhoas' end. Run straight up one of the lampposts with your sticky gecko fingers and get comfy up on top--try to keep the pole between yourself and Rhoas as you climb, just in case.

After that, test the waters with an energy ball. Follow it up with leech seed.

If Rhoas protects or otherwise removes himself from your range, instead relax.

Pre-battle

A Clown was waling round the streets yelling at any one for a battle but the citizens of this unnamed city were scrabbling to get out of the heavy down poor, the Enraged Clown wondered around the fountain, when he stepped into a Pool of strange Metallic Liquid which yelled at the clown for waking it up the thing that the Clown stepped in tuned out to be a Slugma wearing a pair of shades…

“Fine Mystic_Clown I well battle you since you need to pay for stepping on me!” the Slugma said as steam rose from her body…

“Ok Negrek we’ll use one Pokemon apace, I choose Rhoas my Elekid! Shouted the Clown making a Pokéball appearing out of thin air. And a Small Stubby Elekid Popped out from the center of a bunch of stars…

“Fine then Go Kudzu my Grovyle! Negrek said then spat out a Pokéball made up the same Lava Negrek is, and opened with an eruption of Lava, then as the Eruption ended a badass looking Grovyle was standing there unaffected by his mater’s fire…

“Ok now all we need is a ref!”

Suddenly the roar of a mighty Dragon is herd and the clown and the Slugma look up just in time to se a bolt of Lighting hit a Black Charizard. Who was now falling out of the sky and crashed landed into the fountain, with a groan a young man with Spiky golden hair wearing a blood red trench coat, Slowly got off his Dragon and said “Not one of are better landing hum King?” the Mighty Black Dragon Laid motionless in the knee deep water, The young man sighed and took out an Orange and back Pokéball it showed signs of it’s age it has a bunch of dents and the Paint was chipped and recalled his friend…

Kudzu Ran around the arena for a bit then jumped on to a near by lamppost Rhoas looked up at his foe and let out a loud Screech.

Kudzu Powered up a ball of solar energy between his claws and threw it at Rhoas who was hit as hr had been standing near the fountain, Rhoas glowed fir a moment and the Single Elekid became six but wait the rain passed right threw the clones and they vanished...

Kudzu fired three small seeds at Rhoas, Annoyed Elekid Twirled his arms around and send a large beam of Electoral Energy to fry the Grovyle…

Thanks a ton for reffing, man, but I have a couple of questions...

First, shouldn't thunderbolt have done slightly less damage to Kudzu than energy ball did to Rhoas because Kudzu resists electricity? Second, shouldn't the thunderbolt have taken more energy to use than energy ball because it's a more powerful attack being wielded by a baby pokémon? And third, shouldn't the clones vanish the moment the real one is struck by an attack, or shouldn't they have vanished instantly due to the perpetual rainstorm?

Alright Rhoas, start things off with another Double Team, then Flash 'em to blind him. Then finish up with a Swift, however, if he gets close to you, use Ice Punch instead!

Ok, in that case, let me re-submit my move choices.

First, start things off with a Barrier, then use Flash to blind that geko. Finish up with a Swift, however, if he gets in close, use Ice Punch instead.

Great work, Kudzu. Now let's see if we can't pull ahead this round.

First, wait for Rhoas to create his barrier and note which way it's facing. Then jump to the next lamppost to get around the side, where the barrier doesn't protect; if you can't jump that far, jump down and run to the next lamppost instead.

Next, just relax for a moment. Close your eyes and don't look into the light!

Finally, cling tight to your lamppost and fire an energy ball at Rhoas around his barrier. If you've been dazzled, counter his swift with one of your own.

One of the citizens walked past then ref and made a comment that the Negrek reminded him of
Terminator 2: Judgement Day and The Secret World of Alex Mack, and then he walled to The Porygon-Z Glitch-A-Rom which is the local place to rent videos; Just then Mystic_Clown and Negrek looked around and did not see Charles at all, However they did see a Farfetch’d…

“Hi I am Leeks I am Charles sidekick, anyways he well be back soon he just went to the Pokémon Center…” Leeks said as he was sitting on the same backpack Charles had on before while holding a leek in one wing and a carrot in the other…

Rhoas waved his arms and created a small pain of glass in front of him, Kudzu Shook his head and Jumped from the Lower right Lamppost to the upper right Lamppost

Rhoas gave of a a blinding flash of light form his body, however Kudzu was ready and quickly closed his eyes and relaxed regaining 2% HP and 3% Energy.

Rhoas waved his arms and sent a shower of stars at the overgrown Gecko knocking it’s balance and it fell off of the lamppost; Kudzu annoyed Powered up a Basketball sized ball of Solar energy and threw at Rhoas and it blow up in his face…

Well, points for trying, Kudzu, I suppose.

Start by setting up a quick substitute to give us some breathing room if we're going to have to fight in close quarters. Follow it up with a brick break to smash down that barrier and hit Rhoas for some damage. Finish with another energy ball.

If he protects/detects on either of the last two actions, relax instead of what you had been doing. If he flashes on either of the last two actions, do the same but with your eyes closed, or make your sub with eyes closed on the first.

Substitute ~ Brick Break / Chill ~ Energy Ball / Chill

Alright Rhoas, rest up while he uses his subsitute. Then, when he comes in close to use Brick Break, stop him in his tracks with a psychic and hit him with a Toxic. That healing of his has got to stop!

Kudzu Put 10% of his Hp in to creating a Substitute, however since there was not a lot of room on the lamppost Kudzu created the Substitute under himself, Rhoas grunted to himself that both their masters were crazy, as he relaxed….

Kudzu, jumped down and ran at Rhoas and Chopped the Stubby Elekid first with his right arm then with his left arm, both of which had an Aura of fighting energy around them they not only hurt Rhoas but also destroyed his Barrier; Rhoas blasted Kudzu with a wide spread mental blast of Psychic Energy; Kudzu was thrown back and landed behind his Double who had also taken the same amont of damage…

Kudzu annoyed Powered up a Basketball sized ball of Solar energy and threw at Rhoas and it blow up in his face, Rhoas Puked up his lunch and the Partly Digested Purple mass blew up in Kudzu’s face but wait the Poison just oozed off, Rhoas had hit the fake Kudzu instead.

Alright, first off, try another Leer on that Grovyle. When it comes in for an attack, hit with Discharge followed quickly by an Ice Punch.

Okay, Kudzu! The sub should block that leer handily, so let's take advantage of the opening by coming down hard with a leaf blade. Discharge'll mean the end of our sub but another free attack for us, so let's seismic toss Rhoas into the fountain. Then, when he tries to get out and come at us with an ice punch, wait until he's climbing over the edge and then bullet seed him back in so that he can't reach us to attack--multiple times if necessary, that's what your multiple rounds are for.

Rhoas Shot Kudzu an unholy glare as his Eyes glowed red, enraged at the nerve of the Spunky sparkplug Kudzu Charged the leaves on both his arms with Grass Energy and with a mighty roar ran over to the sparkplug and slashed it twice.

Rhoas Suddenly released Sparks of Electrical energy and latterly Electrocuted Kudzu it also hit his Substitute do to the pavement being wet and the fact water conducts Electricity. thus the Dichage also hit and Destroyed Kudzu's Substitute. Kudzu was moving very slowly and picked up and Slowly spun around and threw the Sparkplug towards the fountain but it did not quite make it.

Rhoas being winded and a bit Dizzy got on his feet and Dizzily wondered back to the overgrown gecko and slugged him in the gut with a frost covered claw and froze it in a thin block of Ice, this happed becuase Kudzu is Soaking wet do to the RAIN! Kudzu could not move do to both being frozen and being Paralyzed. as the round ends Kudzu skin glowed Purple then returned to being green however it was in a much darker shade.

The Rain + Discharge = Sub Destroyed, besides Discharge is A flare of electricity that is let loosed to strike all Pokémon in battle. It may also cause paralysis.

Also your forgetting that Kudzu was wet because of the Rain, so when Rhoas sluged Kudzu it froze the water on Kudzu's Skin, besides that Ice Punch does damage and has a 9.8% chance of freezing the opponent.

That's right, but discharge should have been blocked by the substitute. Also, ice punch only hit the opponent in one spot--how does it freeze their entire body?

Look I already explained it that Discharge hits everyone in battle on top of that It's Raining also given the Fact that Sub Only had 1%HP Discharge basted right threw it, and given the fact that Kudzu was wet the water on his body tuned to Ice, because when water freezes it Expands as it turns into Ice crystal...

If you don't like the way I ref then by all means go talk to a head ref, I really think your making this out to be a bigger deal then it is, in fact there is an Easy way to melt the Ice, use Dragonbreath. :p
