Question regarding Pokemon Yellow

Hi, I was recently thinking about trading my Pikachu from pokemon yellow onto my Pokemon silver game but I was wondering if I do trade pikachu back to yellow after putting him in silver will he still follow me around like he usually does?, also would it affect his mood in any sort of way?

Yellow pika can be traded to any other game (in fact when you trade it to GSC, it will be holding a Light Ball), and then traded back and will still follow you around, but its happiness will be reset.

It may be worth noting that if you happen to evolve your Pikachu while it's on another cartridge and then trade it back, the Raichu that results will no longer follow you. That's probably pretty clear when you think about it, but... yeah.

Actually, that's the only way to evolve your Yellow version Pikachu, if I remember correctly. (It won't let you use the Thunderstone otherwise.)
