    Default Blademaster VS. Dark Sage (MK. II) REF NEEDED

    Alright, Brian, you accepted my challenge on MSN... So let's settle this battle once and for all!

    First, I've taken the liberty of incorporating your rules:

    1. Banned moves: Rest, Substitute, Mimic, any pure status inflictors, and any pure healers.

    2. So there is no intentional type-trumping, we PM our first pokemon to the ref.

    3. This'll be a 4-on-4 battle, 1 Pokemon at a time.

    Next, a few rules of my own:

    ~DQ: 1 week

    ~The order of who attacks first will be decided by the ref, as well.

    ~The arena is this:

    Kilauea, Hawaii

    The battle will take place in a massive stone crater that is relatively shallow, but with a narrow stream carved into one end. At the center of the crater is a pool of lava at least 50 feet wide; it empties into the stream, which is only about 10 feet wide at its widest. The lava flows down the stream, out of the crater and in between the rocks on the Hawaiian shoreline until it hits the ocean. One ether side of the rocks is sand, with some tropical plants a bit further down the beach, away from the insufferable heat of the volcano.

    Despite the heat of the lava, Ice and Water attacks aren't weakened, nor are Fire attacks strengthened. Any Fire Pokemon that falls in the lava will not be burnt to death, by Heatran's mercy, but they will suffer anywhere between 1HP and 10HP of damage for each action they spend in the lava (For example, a Charizard or a Magmortar may take 1HP, whereas a Snover or a Paras would take 10HP, etc..). It takes one action to get out of the lava.

    Where the lava and the ocean meet, scalding steam constantly erupts; contact with it may induce a Burn.

    Both battlers begin inside the crater, beside the lava lake, on opposite sides of the 'stream.' Like a stream of water, a few rocks poke up from the lava. They can be used to cross the stream.

    I'll be waiting... And may the better battler win.

    OK, threats don't work either... How about bribery?

    Anyone to ref this gets a free trip to anywhere on any planet in any dimension in any universe in the Ultraverse.

    Oh, and also, a Fire Mario keychain: His fists light up when you press the little button. Ain't that nifty?

    Yes Blade, Beg and maybe a ref will come...*evil snicker*

    I'd ref it, but I'd need to know if you didn't want me doing EKO's and such. That and 4 on 4 sounds fun, but I ...ahh what the hell I got only 3 reffed matches that are moving anytime soon. Stack me up again. Since this wasn't picked up in over what, 1.5 weeks, I'll get it done :O.

    Okay, Silver, start out slowly.

    First, use Iron Defense.

    Then, use Water Pulse twice. Get him good.

    Oh, come ON! I'm supposed to beat THAT thing?!

    Arrrgh... Alright, fine.

    Beevee, listen carefully:

    Use Rollout to build up speed and momentum, and then, when Silver opens that big ugly maw of his to spit water at you, use your momentum to launch yourself up to his mouth, and then fire a Lava Plume INTO HIS MOUTH AND DOWN HIS THROAT. Let's see how *that* tastes. Once that's done, blast him with an Earth Power attack.

    Iron Defense~Water Pulse x 2

    ===Round 1===

    It's gonna be a hot match. In a arena reminiscient to the Magma Coloseum, we are here in Kilauea, HI. Blade and SAGE have released their Pokemon, a widdle Numel and a big Aggron...

    wow, talk about mismatch..

    erm anyway. Barrel cannon dosen't seem so easily shaken by the metal monstrosity, and starts off by rolling around...towards the stream of lava...man why do I have a bad feeling about this...

    We look over at Silver, on the other side of this stream, and he's idly watching Barrel, attaining a thicker coat of metal upon his body as he does so. But Silver's head seems to be moving faster...and that's only because Barrel is rolling around on his side of the stream..and getting some good speed there. He's even broken a few rocks so he has a sort of...ramp that'll let him sail over to the second rock on his way to cross the stream...

    [BC: -5E S: -4E Defense x 2]

    ...and before you know it, there he goes, sonicspinning up on his ramp, and sailing, bouncing off the second rock! He's pretty high up there now, and Silver's starting to build up a watery concoction for the airborne opponent.

    Water starts to vent from his mouth, but Barrel forces his body down prematurely, attaining a deep red hue to match the lava stream! As the Water Pulse flies free, Barrel bashed through it, and lodged himself in Silver's gaping mouth. Fire suddenly spewed out of the newly created Jawbreaker-Numel, and an upsurge of Lava quickly caused Silver to wrench back in agonizing pain. But Barrel was stuck in his mouth! Lodged there pretty tight by forcing Silver's jaw to open a bit more than it could, Numel wriggled around in his balled up state, a little peeved that he was smelling burnt Silverinnards.

    [BC: -11E/-14H S: -5E/-24H Burned mouth-4%]

    Silver, utterly pissed his mouth was burned, began to call upon another Water Pulse, to hopefully soothe the ache in his mouth and blast that camel free. Fearing he was going to be swallowed, BC began to call upon the power of the planet. The ground near this volcanic crater began to shake and shudder, the "stream" splashing a bit as an unseen Power blasted from the ground under Silver. Silver faltered in his step, falling forward. As his body collapsed on the ground, the Water Pulse was ejected, blasting Barrel out of Silver's mouth, and throwing Numel onto one of the crossing rocks on the stream. Barrel lied there, a bit confused as to where he was now...

    The water did cool Silver's burn a little, but there was still much pain to be had.

    [BC: -7E/-14H-Confused S: -5E/-16H-Cooled burn-3%]

    ===Stats===

    Blademaster X
    Barrel Cannon M Numel
    72/77%
    Free of Silver's mouth, confused.

    Dark Sage X

    60/86%
    Dazed and can't talk ;o;
    Def x2

    Damage caps are at 40-however, Aggron's upped defense made the damage equal exactly 40. Anyway, Blade, you go!

    Thanks Darkly, but my opponent is Dark Sage, not Silencer. And my Numel's name is Barrel VOLCANO, not Cannon. O.o;;

    OK, BV, liste- HEY! Listen to me, you dizzy little pipsqueak!

    OK, first off, use Sunny Day to power your attacks up and weaken that Aggron's Water attacks. Then, try and clear your mind (and boost your strength) with Focus Energy, and end by letting off a Heat Wave at him.

    If at any time during the round that big lummox uses a Super-effective attack, switch Heat Wave in exchange for Earth Power.

    Move: Sunny Day, Focus Energy, Heat Wave

    Silver, ruin his attempt at Sunny Day by using Rain Dance.

    Then, while he's using Focus Energy, use Dragon Claw to whack him good.

    When he uses Heat Wave, use Metal Burst to hit him back twice as hard.

    ===Round 2===

    Searing heat welcomes us again as the second round starts off...kinda quietly. Barrel Volcano (not cannon, I apologize) stands motionless, looking at Silver, but I don't think he really sees him. I think he's slightly confused as to what he's supposed to do.

    Unfortunately, that leaves Barrel in a spot of trouble, as he bounds across the stream again, and utterly just wanders around dazed. Silver watches the peculiar attack, and summons the rainclouds form above. The first sets of raindrops don't make it to the bottom, but after the momentum picks up, raindrops start to create steam vents alongside this volcanic arena.

    [BV: -Confused- S: -4E]
    *Rain Dance lasts 5 actions*

    Still walking around, Barrel remembers he's supposed to focus, and that he decided to do. Sitting down, the small camel of fire begins to realize that he's been arbitrarily wasting time, and now begins to see the battle for what it really is. Unfortunately, that dosen't help him, as his face suddenly meets Silver's claws, a nasty Dragon Claw to uproot Barrel's rest-stop.

    [BV: -3E/-8H *Focused* Confusion gone S: -6E]

    As the water fell upon the arena, Barrel tried to raise the heat in the area once again. His focusing didn't stop and soon he was a white hot camel of pure energy. Glaring at the incoming attack, Silver seemed to ripple in place, a mystical energy glazing his structure.

    Blasting the air with all that pent up energy, Barrel sent the Heat Wave in Silver's vicinity. Immediately, some of the air was cooled by the rain, but there was still enough power to sting Silver all over. Silver roared, and allowed the reverberation to be his reflex point. Energy seared off of Silver, all of it headed right for Barrel. Barrel flew backwards, landing on his side.

    Okay, Silver, here's what we're gonna do.

    First, use Roar to scare that camel silly.

    Then, slam it good with Brick Break.

    Next, let it all out with Giga Impact.

    If he tries another Fire attack, switch your current move to Protect. But only the first time. Not the second or third time. We can't waste your energy on that move.

    ===Round 4===

    With the fourth round underway, we have Barrel and Silver duking it out for superiority. As hte rain dances along the ground continuously, Barrel spits out an inkling of the power he possesses. A small flame literally bounces along the ground, steaming with each hit of rain to its coalescence.

    Silver, put off by the fact that a Fire attack was coming-quickly set himself up a Protection field...but was utterly angered when the Ember fizzled out due to the rain, mere inches from hitting the shield! What a waste!

    [BV: -1E S: -9E]

    Miffed that his energy was used up with no effect, Silver charged forward. Barrel wasn't expecting the big lummox to do such a thing so quickly, and was the recipient of a harsh Brick Break. Barrel flew backwards, now hitting up against the side of the crater. Sore, and now feeling tired, Barrel looked up for hope.

    Hope seemed to shine on him, a beautiful Sunny Day to clear up the rain had come.

    [BV: -4E/7H S: -7E]
    *Sunny Day for Five actions*

    Seeing Barrel against the wall., Silver starts to allow his body a moment to lock into place. The solidifying of his body into one massive horned ramming machine gave Barrel something to worry about-so a suitable counter was made. Exercising all the power he could muster-Barrel attained a nova white flare to his body. Opening his eyes as soon as his charging was done, Barrel spotted Silver charging at him as if he was a derailed train heading toward a steel wall.

    Barrel waited, until the Impact was inevitable to endure, and released his ability. A cyclonic wave of fire shot out omnidirectionally, striking Silver even as the megaton ceratopsian slammed into Barrel head first. Both Pokemon roared in agony, and both Pokemon were encumbered in flames from the blast.

    Once the outrageous temperatures cooled down-both Barrel and Silver were knocked out onto the ground. But ti did not seem that Silver was going to rejoin the fight, that superheated Overheat may have did him in.

    Overheat does like 10-13. Add a bit for STAB and Sunny Day...that's 16-17 Silver's then weak to fire, so that jumps to 32-34..and then the burn..yeah Silver had no chance x_x. Trust me, I didn't wanna believe it when I saw it as well ...

    Silver took a total of 38-39HP more than he should've throughout the battle. Being a Rock-type, his Steel weakness to Fire should've been canceled out.

    Ergo, I'm recalling Numel for the remainder of the battle on the grounds that he won unfairly; in his place, I'm sending out Sir Grodus, my Metagross(N).

    Sir Grodus, start off with YOUR Iron Defense, then slam that... that... .....uh..... Brian, what the Hell *is* that thing, anyway?

    ...

    Whatever, just slam her with a Zen Headbutt and we'll call it a turn.

    Uhm... I think it's a combination of duck, lily pad, and pineapple. But I could be wrong.

    Lily, use Rain Dance to get more favorable weather.

    Then, use Water Pulse on that big lug.

    Next, when he comes in for that Headbutt, hit him with a Focus Blast.

    And a note to our ref, in case you want to show favorites again: I happen to know that Metagross's dual Steel/Psychic type cancels out its resistance to Fighting moves.

    I think it has something to do with rock being inflammable... Even if the ground is also inflammable... Or maybe it's because rocks melt at a higher temperature than dirt and sand...?

    I dunno. Pokemon is too f**ked-up for me to try and rationalize right now.

    3. This'll be a 4-on-4 battle, 1 Pokemon at a time.

    4. DQ: 1 week

    Arena:
    Kilauea, Hawaii

    The battle will take place in a massive stone crater that is relatively shallow, but with a narrow stream carved into one end. At the center of the crater is a pool of lava at least 50 feet wide; it empties into the stream, which is only about 10 feet wide at its widest. The lava flows down the stream, out of the crater and in between the rocks on the Hawaiian shoreline until it hits the ocean. One ether side of the rocks is sand, with some tropical plants a bit further down the beach, away from the insufferable heat of the volcano.

    ===Round 5===

    This round begins with a interesting turn of events. It seems I'm on crack, and can't remember rocks don't really get hurt that much by fire. Henceforth-Barrel Volcano is disqualified. The match now starts with Lily-a Ludicolo who's really too happy in a volcano..jumping around, uncaring to anything I just said...and makes it rain on...me...

    complete with lightning bolts. Nice -.-. Over here, as Blade throws rocks at me in gleeful joy-a Metagross floats down. Sir Grodus clamps his mouth twice to voice his approach.

    [L: -4E SG: Herro!]
    *Rain Dance for five actions*

    Now that the grounds are once again even, this battle can begin. Grodus stays aloft under its own electromagnetic powers and begins to attain a sheen of metal upon its surface, akin to what Silver did a while back. In contrast to that action, Lily shook her bomboms and flung a thicker than natural stream of water-that heated up as it flew though this heated area--and struck Grodus with a well-aimed Water Pulse.

    Pushed back, Grodus shook off the water, landing as he did so. The crab was mad >O!

    [L: -5E SG: -4E/-10H Def x 2]

    Glad to see she got his attention, Lily skipped around a bit, idly making sure to mead away from the stream of fire. In fact, she kept skipping and dancing nearer to the exit-seawater would give her the advantage after all...

    Sir Grodus followed, floating and shimmering after her, focusing all his energy into a powerful attack he knew would shut her down for at least the remainder of this round..

    but Lily was able to ground herself. Her happy pineapply face dropped the facade, and her hands spun around each other as if she was practicing hitting a speed bag. A white hot energy built up, and the amount of Focus she was putting into this attack was huge. With an "Ole" -the Blast shot free from her grasp, as Grodus sped in for the Zen Headbutt! Grodus smashed into it head on-a cracking sound blasting backwards from the collision.

    Sir Grodus unable to fully calculate the impact he received. Arms popped free from their airborne positioning and grasped the volcanic crater, to avoid smashing into the ground below. Lily clapped, and began skipping in the rain again.

    Uh, Dark, each trainer is using four Pokemon in this battle, not two.

    Lily, listen up.

    First, use Fake Out.

    Next, go in for a Drain Punch.

    Then, since it worked so well the first time, use Water Pulse.

    Sir Grodus is displeased, Dark Sage... That's very bad.

    Sir Grodus, use Agility to zoom out of the range of that Fake Out and behind Lily, and then slam her in the back with a frigid Ice Punch. Then, encase her in a Rock Tomb before she can use that annoying Water attack.

    At the crack of the lightning bolt over my head ...-.-....Lily snap attacks, front to back! No really. She darts forward,an impressive display of cunning that catches Meta off guard...but Meta still manages to scoot backwards, barely evading the Fake Out. As Lily begins to lose ground, Meta speeds up, finally reaching a noble speed for his Agility.

    [L: -2E SG: -4E Spd x 2]

    And just as he swiftly scuttled backwards, the metalcrab zoomed forward, fist glowing with arctic energy. Lily stood her ground, and met Meta with a Punch all her own. Both combatants struck each other, but Meta's speed gave him the edge in knocking her off balance. But, nonetheless, he felt Drained.

    On the ground, Lily hopped up. The chill ran through her body, and right now...the rain wasn't helping much.

    [L: -2E/(+2H)-7H SG: -6E/-4H]

    With the rain dying down, Sir Grodus seemed pleased. Lily looked none the worse for wear however, and made sure Grodus learned that. Hands raised to the sky, and he gaze followed, to watch...rain --rocks falling on her head?! Quickly, she threw her hands forward, as she was subsequently bashed to the ground by the Rock Tomb. Her attack did fall though, but since it was interrupted, it did less damage than it could have.

    Sir Grodus, use Brick Break to help free that mutant, then use Rock Slide to bury her again. Once she frees herself, sock her in the face with a Thunderpunch.

    If she decides to 'play it safe' and not try and get out of the Rock Slide, crush her under the rocks with your Psychic powers.

    ===Round 7===

    At the stat of this round, the dissipated rain leaves a small after effect. There is a thin haze in this portion of the arena. We've moved slightly away from the stream, and are fighting near to the path where the stream exits the volcano.

    I only say this because Lily is halfway trapped under a few rocks, and is currently pushing them aside to stand. Sir Grodus, being the gentlemon it is...floats over, and lends four hands... Lily doesn't like the look of Meta hovering over her like that, and clasps her hands together into a mega fist of fury. Which she swings up as Meta uses its weight to plummet down.

    The brick break connect, and again, its a matter of strength. Grodus's weight this time helped again, in both harming and freeing Lily of the rocks. Lily though, used her hit to ensure that she'd be free as well as pack a nice wallop for the metal lug.

    [L: -6E/-8E SG: -6E/-6H]

    Dashing backwards, Meta angled up alongside the crater, levitating loose boulders as he climbed steadily.

    Lily, wasting no time, bounced backwards-to where she could slightly taste the scent of Seawater amongst all the ash and lava. Her positioning was critical, as Grodus lunged, the rocks gaining speed as they trailed after him. At the last second, Grodus stopped his motion,n allowing the Rocks to continue theirs-right for Lilly. Lily threw her hands up in pure preparation, and held her defenses as she Protected against that Slide. The massive rocks either broke or bounced haywire, some falling into the lava stream and heading out to sea....

    With Lily free and only surrounded by rocks-not trapped, Grodus sped in. His fist crackled with the power that storm brung only moments ago...

    Lily felt good however, and began dancing around the rocks in her Mexican way. Her hands began mimicking speed-bag practice...and Grodus once again flew into try and connect. That magical "Ole" was heard right when Grodus fists was locked for connection, and a huge spat of power Blasted from Lily.

    Grodus's fist tried to punch through the ball of power, but it was Grodus's speed that did him in, flying headlong into ANOTHER blast! The disc'mon flew over Lily's head from the explosion, and sailed into the nearest wall, inches from the stream.

    Heh, okay Lily...

    First, use Water Pulse again.

    Then, use Double Team.

    Then, just relax for the rest of the round.

    That's it. We're done playing nice.

    Sir Grodus, use Psytrap to lock Lily's beak up when she opens it to use Water Pulse, and then use another Psychic to pick Lily (and her clones, if need be) up and hurl her into the lava. Finish by using Rock Tomb to trap her there before she climbs out.

    Move: Psytrap (Psychic to force mouth shut), Psychic (toss into lava), Rock Tomb (seal in lava)

    New Battle!

    ===Rules===

    1. Banned moves: Rest, Substitute, Mimic, any pure status inflictors, and any pure healers.

    2. So there is no intentional type-trumping, we PM our first pokemon to the ref.

    3. This'll be a 4-on-4 battle, 1 Pokemon at a time.

    4. DQ: 1 week

    Arena:

    ===Round 8===

    Grodus takes a moment. Lily dosent like Grodus taking moments, and begins to call forth the waters she commands at will. Before the blast can erupt from her main orifice-she finds herself in a dilemma. Her mouth won't open!
    Desperatly, she tries to pry her mouth open, water already stemming free from the sides. Unfortunalty, the blast causes pain to Lily internally, and she doubles over, as she's forced to swallow her own attack. Grodus smiles...if a Meta can smile..

    [L: -5E/-6H SG: -7E]

    That was an uncool power, holding someone's mouth close. No matter. She shook off the slight queasiness in her stomach, and began to Samba in place. As she Samba'd, the clones began to appear, -to the left- and to the right, until she was a veritable dancing parade of Ludicolo. 4 in all, they all danced in a circle, and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Until they all started to lift skyward. Lily turned around, noting that Grodus was raising the quartet up-with no prejudice. It seemed to be an obvious strain on Grodus, as he couldn't really tell whom was the clone, so focusing on on four targets like that wasn't THAT simple. However, dropping them was! Lily shrieked as she fell into the Lava, clones leaving her alone to suffer. She thrashed wildly, swiftly throwing herself up and trying to reach land.

    The stream carried her out of the main part of the volcano, nearer to the water..

    [L: -4E/-5H (from Lava) SG: -8E]

    Grodus, though faster, had not struck first these past few moments. Now he did though, as Lily began to climb out. Rocks began to fall all around her, smashing her hands to ensure she let go of the grip on land. She was utterly trapped by a series of thick lava rocks, with the Lava searing at her body. Lily wasn't so easily defeated, and made sure to endure the falling multitude of rocks as she climbed on the ones that hit her. With her life at stake, she barely made a small rock platform to lie on, as the rest of the rocks entombed her.

    She was PISSED....Even as she lied there crushed, the Lava still burned at her skin...

    They were asking for it!

    Now, Grodus, we've evened the field... Take some time to Relax and gather your thoughts while Lily's busy barbecuing, then when she comes after you, use Confusion to scramble her brain up a bit. Finish with an Ice Punch if she's close; otherwise just Relax.

    Move: Relax, Confusion, Ice Punch (if Lily's close)
    Sub: -------, -----------, Relax (if Lily's not close)
