    Default Wivit v SR-71 Ref Darkest Light

    Alright, time to get some of my other pokemon the experience needed... Here is the challange.

    2 v 2
    I choose first, you attack first
    Arena choice- A Graveyard, full of tombstones. It is fenced in so no one can escape. This is in the middle of the night and there is a heave mist, making visibility very hard.
    Banned Moves- ALl the susual, attract, rest, ohko, anything else you can think of.

    I shall select my Male Gible, Bastion.

    I accept your challenge.

    [Fatality] absol (f)

    If Bastion uses Double Team, Aerial Ace. If he protect/detects, Calm Mind. If he uses a status-inducing move (toxic, thunder wave, etc.), Magic Coat. If he uses Dig, create a 10% substitute. If he uses Flash, close your eyes, look away, cover your eyes with your arm; these should all work in preventing blindness while still allowing you to attack. If he Taunts you, Ice Beam; if you're Taunted and Tormented, Water Pulse when you can't Ice Beam. Chill if your attack is bound to miss or fail for some reason.
    Otherwise, Ice Beam till you hit Damage Caps, then chill.

    Aerial Ace / Calm Mind / Magic Coat / Substitute (10%) / Ice Beam / Chill ~ Aerial Ace / Calm Mind / Magic Coat / Substitute (10%) / Ice Beam / Chill / Water Pulse x2

    Good luck reading through that.

    Wow...that took a while to read...you like to cover all your bases huh

    Alright, Light Screen so you don't take too much of that Ice Beam. He said then use a second one, so counter it with a Flamethrower. Finally, Draco Meteor. We'll just go at himm full speed.

    Sub is banned

    ===Round 1===

    Second battle. ::Just ran over from the other battle:: Ok, Whiv, SR, ready

    Whiv: Yeah, I guess
    SR: Sure.

    .. >> << No smack talk huh? Ok. Well, we got a Gible and a ..that Absol again.Who looks..hehe you gave her alot of commands, didn't you Whiv?

    Whiv: ...Shut up and ref DL.

    Fatality stays perched upon her tombstone, watching and forming a slow chill around her. It intensifies, as the tombstone starts to gain a thin layer of ice. The Gible however, dosen't seem to worry about it. Even as the Ice Beam charges up and fires, Bastion dosen't move. The beam strikes, and Bastion bounces backwards, barreling through broken tombstones. Alliteration aside, that looked painful

    Bastion: -20H ==///== Fatal: -8E

    Unhappy with just sitting and taking that shot, Bastion gets up, and shakes off the cold. His body bounces upward, struggling to fly. (not yet buddy xD) Landing closer to Fatal now, he began to unleash a series of Flames right as Whivit fired a second Ice Beam. The two psuedo/opposing elements clashed, and for a moment, it seemed that the Ice Beam would win, as the Flamethrower was being forced back. Bastion though gave it all he had, and the two attacks canceled, causing a bright explosion.

    Neither Pokemon was hurt, but a little more drained than usual.

    Bastion: -10E ==///==Fatal: -10E

    Knowing she could put a bit more hurt on that dragon, Fatal tries again from her perch, a third embodiment of the Arctic was called from within. However, Fatal's Beam met with a different resistance. After firing the Beam, she watched a LARGE tonnage of rocks suddenly litter the battlefield. Her Beam was partially nullified by one of those freak Meteors, but some of it still caught Bastion.

    These rocks crashed on and around Fatal, burning at her Skin with an evilly Draconic rage. Knocked off her perch, she crashed meters away, stunned from the power of that hit.

    Bastion lied there...tired, and now in a bad predicament.

    His feet were frozen.

    Bastion: -13E/-10H ==///== Fatal: -8E/-14H

    Waitwait what? 'Sub is banned' Since when?

    Anyhow, not sure if Bastion will be able to pull off that Iron Head with frozen feet, so if he can't, Ice Beam him. If he can, Faint Attack out of the way, preferably behind him and hit him in the back. Then Swagger, and if he's too confused to use Flamethrower, Ice Beam, but if he manages to Flamethrower, use Me First. Should outdo his, eh?

    Ice Beam / Faint Attack ~ Swagger ~ Ice Beam / Me First

    Oh and thanks for reffing again, DL, heh.

    SR stated that all the usual was banned. The usual is inclusive of Attract, Perish Song, Grudge, Substitute, OHKO's, Rest and non-damaging Recovery Moves. If you do not want Sub Banned, that's fine by me :p.

    ===Round 2===

    The second round starts off to a slow and painful start, as Bastion pushes himself up onto his now icy feet. Pained to walk, Bastion watched with a sense of dread as a second Ice Beam came soaring his way,-knocking any gusto he had for trying to stop Fatal in her tracks.

    Had he not just been completely frozen now-he may have very well pulled off that Iron Head.

    Bastion: -20H *Frz*==///== Fatal: -8E

    Pleased with her luck, Fatal strutted over to the frozen Bastion, and made faces through the ice sheet. Bastion stared in pure misery-the cold was never something he joked about. Unable to move, the Swagger maneuver performed by Fatal went off without a hitch.

    Bastion: RAWR! *confused* +2 Atk ==///==Fatal: -5E

    Seeing no real trouble coming from the ice brick that was her competition, Fatal was rearing to send Bastion back to an Ice Age, when a sudden crackle made her shift gears. Steam began to vent from the ice brick, as Bastions eyes began to glow with rage. Fatal smirked, and tried to copy the move that Bastion was attempting first...

    and did so! Funny enough, it as a stream of Flames that came surging from her mouth! Strange though, it seemed more powerful. No matter. As Fatal moved in with this heightened stream of Flame blazing from her mouth, Bastion's own Flamethrower met hers. The flames fought each other for supremacy, but in the end, Fatals' won. Bastion was thrown back, front nicely burned from the attack Their combined attacks melted the ice however, fully freeing Bastion and also slightly burning Fatal, as the steam was a tad scalding to endure while shooting those flames.

    Bastion: -6E/-8H ==///== Fatal: -8E *sl. Brn*

    Me First – NORMAL – The Pokemon senses what the foe is going to do for their first action and uses the same move but at a much higher power.
    Fatigue: Moderate
    Damage: Depends on what attack is used
    Accuracy: Moderate
    Other: This attack can ONLY work if the user is faster than the target. Speed stat boosts will guarantee this attack to work, and paralysis will guarantee it will fail. Other such instances (ie, being blinded, or being tired, being stuck) will be expected to cause the attack to fail. This works on an action basis – Me First will use the attack that the foe was using THAT ROUND and nothing else.
    No where is it mentioned that it only works on the first action. It doesn't make any sense for that to happen, at all, since rounds are just several actions put together to help the battle and reffing go by faster, not an actual 'round' in any sense.
    Where are you getting this from, anyhow? It doesn't work that way in the games, and I highly doubt you got it from the anime since there are no 'rounds' there either.

    Whiv...

    The move description just stated it. "The Pokemon senses what the foe is going to do for their first action and uses the same move but at a much higher power."

    First action. You get Three actions a round. Can't work on second action, or third action

    Me First can't "Sense" the first action of a round if the first action already has occurred. Hence, it can't work if the first action is completed

    And heh, I didn't write the layout of the moves for ASB . You'll hafta call a Head Ref for that.

    ((to get uber technical, the concept of the "round" in both the anime and the game do exist, they are just not called that. Its a turn based system in the games, but after your Pokemon and the other Pokemon goes, that is essentially a round in the games. The Anime is quirky but usually after each Pokemon clash for some brevity of time and land before doing another onslaught of attacks, that's another round. You have to use that term loosely here, for it applies in many different ways. Anyway, this is neither the games nor Anime, it just sucks elements from both, while mixing it a bit more.))

    And umm, I know there was a battle somewhere with Me First used before...This would be a good time to implement Move discrepancies as such. Gimme a moment, I'll get back to this battle.

    The it would use the attack used by the opponent on the first action. It doesn't say it would fail if it's not on the first action, or it only works on the first action.

    And your uber technical fails. There are no rounds in games, there are single actions. And in the anime, I've never seen rounds either. You can imagine there to be whatever you want, but there isn't.

    "what the foe is going to do for their first action and [your pokemon] uses the same move but at a much higher power."

    Foe's first action... will dictate Me First being successful. After which, it will fail-since it does not work after the first action.

    And there are not only single actions in the game, or did you forget about Fly, Dive and all the other moves that take two turns to use -.- A turn is equivalent to a round in this case.

    ..But alas, there has been a change of ideas >> So, I'm going to change it, in order to keep in sync with the changing of ambiguity here. I'll re-edit the last round, so check back later tonight.

    Yes SR, tis gonna be a DQ. Kinda tired of having battles hang like this.

    Only one Pokemon under 55% So no points to anyone (I think...)
