Basically, the Daily Mail has labelled MCR a 'suicide cult' after a thirteen-year-old became obsessed with death and committed suicide two weeks after beginning to listen to their music. And fans protest.
Really, they flatter MCR (and music in general) if they think two weeks of music can turn a happy-go-lucky teenager into a dead body. Music only evokes what is already there. I remember a case last year in Australia where two girls committed suicide and all the media could talk about was their supposedly 'emo' way of living. It's just an easy way to explain the problems of "today's youth". I never thought I'd be on MCR's side on anything.
