    Is this player any good and does it play most video files because all I have is windows media player and I need something else.

    Not sure how easy it is to use considering that I haven't tried it myself, but the specs look pretty good. I particularly like the ability to play some damaged AVIs... makes me want to give it a test run.

    GOM will run a lot of formats, but be forewarned that you'll have to download extra codecs to play RealPlayer and QuickTime files. If what I'm reading is right, though, it should automatically link you to a site where you can download those codecs when you try to play a file of that type, so it should be relatively easy. (No guarantees, but it doesn't seem too bad.)
