Poll: As if no anniversary was as bad as this one...

Hi, you guys may not have noticed it, but today marks an anniversary that many of you might not want to hear, I just found out that today marks the 30th anniversary of spam coming to existence on computers. Even though this is one anniversary I'm absolutely not celebrating, I've come to notice that many websites with a search engine function seem to be under attack by s, ranging from Yahoo! to YouTube, meaning that searching something right now seems to be nearly impossible. So the poll here is:

Anyone think there is probably a connection here between this anniversary and the search engine problems?

To answer, yes, I think there may be some people taking advantage of this anniversary far, far away (nobody here though, I'm 100% sure of that), when I go to some websites to look something up, I get a blank page, but when I refresh, I seem to get a randomized sequence of letters, numbers, and symbols, which absolutely baffles me. I'm just hoping this wears off soon.
