[YGO - TCG]Current meta?

I've stopped playing yu-gi-oh for a while now, but my interest started to peak again. Now I've been away for some time and don't know anything about the new cards that are out. Now I wanted to know what themes rule the game currently and what a basic cookie cutter deck looks like (so I know what to be wary off)

Six Samurai, Dark Armed Dragon Return and Gladiator Beasts are currently the ones to be seen with. DAD Return was the only thing to be hit by the mid-format ban list but it still works fine, probably still the most popular one though. Along with the Six Samurai, DAD Return is basically getting a load of big guys out quickly and beasting down the field. Gladiator Beasts are a bit different in that when they attack or are attacked (presuming they survive) they go back to the deck and get you a new guy out, the main focus of winning with one of these is probably on getting the big fusion guy out.

You should hold off for a bit longer until the next ban list as everyone is really sick of the pure sackage associated with the current meta, a lot of good players have given up because it's that bad.

If you want to know what all the better players will be using, go to Metagame.com and check out the top 16 decklists of the latest Shonen Jump as everyone just netdecks and there's no originality at the moment.

Eh, this is what I really hate about the game nowadays. Netdecking just sucks. I love just putting together a crazy, unpredictable deck and seeing how it turns out. More often than not, it actually works.
