    Default Should I?

Last night a crazy but perhaps plausible thought popped into my head. If anyone remembers, I did a fantasy trilogy called Monica's Army, Revolution and Vendetta respectively. Army was deleted during the board shift IIRC, and Vendetta was left unfinished.

The reason was mainly due to my lack of inspiration after writing TPML, which was a trainer fic and less fantasy-based. Anyway I've gotten some real desire to carry on with the series, and the characters, but am thinking of starting a fourth part in the series, and instead of tying everything up in Vendetta, leaving it open and use the new part to fill in the gaps.

It would be set about three or four years after Vendetta, and during the course of the fic we would learn what transpired at the end of Vendetta. Alternatively, I could finish Vendetta up and start something new. I'm unsure.

I am really compelled by the idea of putting characters into new situations without explaining why or how, and slowly peeling away until everything between the two fics is apparent.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I never read those, so I can't really give my opinion on that matter, but I'd rather see something new than keep milking out the old and succesfull. If you know what I mean.

On the other hand? Alexanders mission, Show Off and the likes, what's up with that? Some info we could obtain?

It could be interesting. But since I haven't read the previous stories, I can't tell whether it would be a good idea or not. It might be best to give Vendetta some kind of closure before picking up 4 years later, if the last chapter looks more like an unfinished work than an open ending.

They are new fics in the pipeline. Show-Off is the contest-based fic I am currently writing, which has been advertised slightly in the Writers Lounge. Telepathic, Beautiful Creature is a fantasy fic I've set in the Pokemon World - it's a short offering, around fifteen chapters in length.

As for Alexander's Mission...that's the tentative title for this fic. I'm less and less inclined to write it, however.

I often find that with various ideas I have for new books or fics. I'll be enraptured with an idea and then by the next day or two I'll have cooled off a bit. Usually, I end up making an attempt, and if the attempt doesn't go too well, I tend to shelve it.

Have you actually started writing this yet?
