ROUND ONE!
Prince Crimson, fresh from his exciting battle with veteran trainer Charles Legend, feels mentally prepared for his battle against a gym leader. Without concern, he releases his pokemon -- an as-of-yet-to-be-named happiny. Meanwhile, on the other side of the field, is the aforementioned gym leader -- Meloveghosts. With a smirk, he too releases his pokemon, Ai, a cleffairy. Both pokemon eye one another down before readying their attacks.

Happiny starts first by snapping her fingers. In doing so, she summons several clones that look identical to her, raising her evasion nicely (-8% Happiny -- EVA++++). But Ai pays her no mind, and instead begins to drum up some courage for herself. Her mind focuses on attack strength, but at the cost of her defense (-2% Ai -- ATK++++++ --DEF).

Happiny once more snaps her fingers, creating two more safeguard clones (-4% Happiny -- EVA++), maxing out her evasion level. But Ai again pays it no mind, shooting off an intense volley of stars that tears through Happiny and her clones very easily (-10% Happiny -- ------EVA; -3% Ai).

Angrily, Happiny darts over to her foe and slams her fist into her, dealing incredible damage as well as absorbing some health away (-10% Ai; +3% Happiny; -6% Happiny). Ai squeals in pain for a few moments before retalliating with a soothing melody that instantly lulls the happiny to sleep (-3% Ai -- SLP).

Ai assuredly wastes no time. Reeling back, the tiny cleffa springs toward her foe brilliantly with her right leg outstretched. She crashes into Happiny easily (since she's asleep), causing quite a bit of damage (-15% Happiny; -7% Ai). Happiny remains asleep, but ticks her digits to and fro. Something strange -- she's subconsciously channeling a random attack while sleeping -- Shadow Punch. The happiny's palm bursts in some sort of ghostly fire, but as Happiny goes to attack, Ai feels nothing but the soft arm (-2% Ai).

Smirking, Ai bashes her foe in the head with her own (-9% Happiny; -5% Ai), waking her up suddenly. Happiny is dazed, and remains that way for a few moments, giving Ai another opportunity to bash her with her silvery, tiny tail (-10% Happiny; -7% Ai). Happiny angrily doubles back before slamming her own fist into Ai once more (-10% Ai; +3% Happiny; -6% Happiny).
