Guess who graduated last night!

Yeah, he graduated too, sucked though 'cause it rained, so they had it indoors. Since the gym isn't nearly big enough, we had to sit in a classroom and watch the ceremony on a tiny TV. It was the first time I was in one of the classrooms since I went there seven years ago so it was weird.

Anyway, congrats HL! You have now officially joined the rest of us "adults".

Congrats. My last graduation was from Lukio (probably equivalent to senior High School) in 2004 and I didn't make it to the university. I failed two tests. I would have been allowed to study Mathematics in Oulu University because I did so well in Maths in Ylioppilaskirjoitukset (the final exam Lukio prepares you for) but couldn't because I fell ill. Now I'm teaching Japanese without any papers or on experience on studying the language myself at school and battling with my mental health.

I'll hold my own, then I'll upgrade to New York. All the teachers who will be teaching me are pros and have been published and stuff, and then we get to intership with Literary Review.

Oh, we have the pointy hats too! But since we don't graduate from secondary school or 6th Form/college, I guess it's not quite as common? Personally, I can't wait to wear the gown and pointy hat! I'm also so getting a hood; I can't wait to finally get to wear it with my choir robes >w<
