Pokemon Fanfiction Awards

I know we have an award for Best Pokemon Fiction, but that's rather cut and dry, dont'cya think?

Well, I was wondering is we should have an award cerimony just for Pokemon Fanfic. I know, I know, the argument will be that we won't have enough, but right now I think we have about seven current ones, and ones of the past, and we have ones of the future to look forward to.

This being a Pokemon site, afterall, we should encourage that kind of behavior.

There'd be things like Most Orginal Part, Best use of Pokemon, Most use of Pikcachu, Best Characters, stuff like that.

Anywho, this stuck me as a good idea to ask about. So what do you the people and you the Mods who are also people think about it. It could be like an annual thing.

Good job noticing that the mods are people, bad job spelling Pikachu.

I don't know... why make an awards ceremony exclusively for Pokemon fics when we already have the GPs/SPs? We can always include new categories in them whenever the suggestion topic comes up (if we happen to check the topic in time before it closes). >.<

I know we already have them, but I think it be nice to have one just for the Pokemon Fanfictions.

The bi-annually fanfiction awards include all, and stuff, and we can always add new topics, but alot of fanfictions are over looked, and the same ones are nominated for different topics each time the awards come around- If we had an award thing for just Pokemon Fanfiction, and maybe put it up on the main site, it be great adversitement and support for the Pokemon community.

I see what you are saying, but the entire concept behind nominations in our awards is that everyone has the chance to have their say in what is considered for the awards. If things are missing out, and not being nominated, then that has to be accepted.

Its not the missing out that I was worried about, I was just thinking of a logical reason to have one just for Pokemon, other than it just being for fun.

That's really what I'd think it be for. For fun. Not that the normal awards arn't fun. I'm just saying- we need more 'just because its fun' stuff here. And focusing on Pokemon on a Pokemon site, ya know. *shrugs*

I suppose, nothing is stopping you running an unofficial awards for just pokemon fics.... However, I think that the Golden Pen's covers pokemon fics pretty well. These days it seems to be a lot more evenly balanced between fanfics and origifics as well, so hrmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Yeah, there is in the Golden ones. *rubs my chin*I dunno- I could do that, couldn't I, all unoffical.

Hrhm, I just thought it be a fun way to premote Pokemon. If it did happen, we could do it like once a year on TPMs aniversary or something, on the main site. It wouldn't even have to be just fanfictions. It could have Pokemon based member awards. Like Pokemaniac.

I just think the Fanfiction section should have something entirely Pokemon. Because outsite ABS and the Game sections, and there are are haunted whispers of Pokemon related things. But I dunno, right now its just a whimsical idea. Maybe it'll come in handy later on, or something ^W^
