I'll take you on -- I've got quite a few newbies I need to battle with anyway. For starters, however, I'm going with Chuu, my male aron.

Chuu, let's start things off with a Sandstorm, followed by Toxic. Finish out the round with Toxic!

Well, a referee is still needed, but I will go on and attack as well.

Okay Tubs, use Nasty Plot and while that aron is whipping up that sandstorm charge in at it with a Shock Wave before using Mud Slap as well!

===Round 1===

Here we are, on a new arena. It's not even an arena. Its just a path I've been on many a day in my life as a ref. And well, we have a new battle her. Passers by note the two trainers ready to duke it out and stand around idly to watch before moving along.

Tubs vs Chuu it seems to start with and the Trainers issue their attacks. Catheri is a relative newcomer here, and yet, he's going up against Greyfox, a revered Veteran.

Chuu bellows, and stomps his feet, causing people to run away as the sand struts to blow and whip about. Tubs watches with a cursing face, Plotting Chuu's demise.

Chuu smirks, feeling confident about the Sandstorm aiding him. That was until Tubs ran right into him, connecting with a reverse ShockWave. It radiated out from Pichu, zapping Chuu for a good hit. Having Tubs so close however allowed Chuu to spit all over Tubs, starting a Toxic makeover.

Tubs cried out as the Toxic covered him. But he didn't quit, oh no. The sand made it easy to fling something at that annoying Chuu. Tubs aimed and connected right on the eyes, although they were iron shielded lids. But Chuu winced, unable to see. The second Toxic flew wide, missing Tubs.

The Toxic burned slowly, (3) and the Sandstorm ripped mercilessly (3)

Tubs! I need you to use Nasty Plot one more time before charging up another Shock Wave and then pummel that Aron in the face with Mud-slap!

Use Earth Power to start, then after he uses Shock Wave, use Double Team. Finally, Earthquake!

Chuu runs on the beaten path, flying through sand and dirt and grit. Tubz watches as Chuu runs about , looking for him. Heh, its funny how things work that way. He plots more more sinister things, and then watches an Earth Power go whizzing by. Man that was close.

Having crappy accuracy sucks. Chuu didn't hear any cries of pain, and that bothered him. So he turned around. Maybe that rodent was behind him. It didn't even hve to come to that, as he felt a circular ring of electrical energy attack his little legs all at once. Falling to the ground, Chuu growled and roared at the tingling sensations all over his carapace.

As soon as the hyped up pain passed, he split into 3 copies...all of which went away instantly due to the Sandstorm.

Chuu blinked again, and was glad to make out the yellow brat. Well, for a moment anyway. Tubz was quick to fling some more silt and sediment in his face, pissing Chuu off again! Can't this rodent play fair?

Well, Chuu had enough. He bellowed and roared and jumped all about, and caused a massive earthquake to tear up the beaten trail. The tremors threw Tubz down and about pretty bad, that hurt more than he was expecting to receive.

Yeah, I actually had to think about it. But I came up with naw.

My reasoning was that the clones can't take any damage, whether its a SE hit or a NVE hit. They get hit by anything, and they're gone. Sandstorm doesn't hurt Stl/Rck/Grd types because the grains bounce off of them and don't do any damage. But the clones aren't solid, so the grains sweep through them, despite the prime's invulnerability to them.

Its like hitting Chuu with Toxic. Its not gonna work on the prime. But if that Toxic glob hits the clone, the clone is gonna fizzle out since its not solid.

Let's try something different, Chuu: combine Rock Polish with Shadow Claw. Then hit 'im with another Earthquake!

Let's go a more evasive route! Sling Mud-slap at Chuu and when he's coming at you with Shadow Claw get him in the face with Mud-slap again! Before he can use Earthquake, I want you to start running at an incredibly fast pace and leap onto him while using Shockwave and then hurtle yourself into the air! You'll need to avoid the brunt of that ground-attack if you want to survive this round!

Chuu is not amused by being blinded. He grunts and begin to rub his body with one forelimb. By doing this, his body gains some nice speed grooves. As he slices himself, the energy released off the steel clashing was of a ghastly color and it lashed out to strike at Tubs. Tubs was successfully struck by the clawing move.

In retaliation, the Pichu flicked a slew of mud in Chuu's face. Chuu hissed at that slap, now realizing that all he saw was mud and grit. Chuu did ti again, just top make sure Chuu was blind

Chuu: -9E/-16H +2 Spd===//=== Tubs: -6E/-7H

Chuu, blinded so much, began to stomp around. Tubs ran forth and was able to jump onto Chuu. However, with Chuu being a bit smoother than normal, Tubs slipped off of him and fell on his head. That sucked, cause Chuu's tantrum caused an Earthquake that threw him aside like a rag doll.

Tubs stood up from that faulty attack and fired off a Shockwave to cripple Chuu even more.

*I kinda goofed, forgot Aron was Rock/Stl so Ground attacks do superduper effective damage. So Mud Slap damage was raised by 2hp.

Well that certainly didn't work out to well. Stay light on your feet Tubs and hurtle another Mud-slap at that Aron! Be prepared to leap in the air the minute he tries another Earthquake! We need you to finish out this round strong! Use Mud-Slap once more and if he comes in for a close attack fling another Mud-Slap his way, but if he tries to put distance between you run straight at him while charging Shock Wave! We certainly not going to give up this early in the battle!

Magnet Rise + Earthquake. Raise up into the air to avoid his first attack, then when he leasts suspects it, dive on top of him, creating another Earthquake!

Wow. total darkness was weird. Chuu knew that mouse was coming, so he made plans to dispatch himself from the area as soon as possible. Energy built up inside him once more and he lunged skyward-leaving a quaking mess behind on the terra, right when Tubs flung a healthy sized glob of mud where he stood. The Earthquake tremor stretched out omnidirectionally, throwing Tubs to the ground in agony.

Magnet Rise always seemed to take so much out of Chuu in the beginning. But he'd get used to floating around ambiently. Well, now with that lil bit of speed on his belt, the flying rock monster zipped about, as Tubs stood there dumbfounded. He tried flinging another Mudslap at Chuu, but it missed, arguably enough.

Chuu still could not SEE anything though, and when he dived down for Tubs-it was completely in the wrong direction. Hence the Earthquake went north, while Chuu was south of it.

Unsure what to think, Chuu wearily floated back up. He was quietly watching the mud start to fall from his eyes when suddenly his world was knocked up side down. He fell on his back, sparking heavily. Tubs stood on his belly proud to have delivered a Shockwave to pin the mighty flying beastie!

The Toxic burned relentlessly (12), and Chuu fell over! It seems that was the end for him! Sandstorm ended without incident.

Catheri recalled Tubs in haste, and mulled over his next choice. In swift fashion, out came a Totodile. That instantly got under Chuu's metallic skin. Chuu watched as the Totodile ran over, and he instantly fired a Toxic up in the sky.

Toto aimed high, and tagged Chuu. The weight of the water forced Chuu down, but the pressure stopped quickly as the Toxic flew in Toto's eyes.

Toto hissed, wiping the grit out of his eyes. Chuu relaxed for a bit, glad that his Toxic hit with such a random lob. But the water pressure was back on almost instantly, as Toto fired a Second Hydro Pump to annihilate that rocky beast.

Now gone, Grey releases his second matchup. Out pops a Shinx, ready to battle. Toto pulls no punches. No really, he's really throwing them at Rent. Rent backs away and tries to get airborne at the same time.

The little cat seems to be dodging pretty well, until Toto fakes him with a left and then really hits him with the left. That sends Rent spinning, but spinning upward!

Jaw slightly hurt, Rent glared down at Tot from his lofty-yet wobbly- perch. Toto didn't care, that cat wasn't that high up. He snapped his jaws together before creaming his name and jumping. Rent smirked and watched the bipedal croc get frustrated at trying to reach him. Form up there, he fired a Thunderwave right in Tot's mouth. That made Tot stop on a dime.

Tort tried to move, but that paralysis went to his nervous system quite fast. SO fast I think the shock was the main reason for him moving, not even the overabundance of electrical impulses that could shut his system down.

In lieu of this small success, Rent lobbed off a trickling of beamed energy at Tot, just to seat him. A bit of that energy washed back over the little cat, and he smiled. Crocodile nuggets may be on the menu after all..
